Chapter 999 - Chapter 999 Chapter 999 Quite a Few Exceptions
Chapter 999: Chapter 999: Quite a Few Exceptions Chapter 999: Chapter 999: Quite a Few Exceptions Yu Zhiyuan listened to Feng Jun’s words, without any doubts in his heart, and nodded with a smile, “Alright, I look forward to it too.”
“But at the same time, I have to declare something,” Feng Jun spoke earnestly, “Luohua Manor is a place where only those invited may enter. I’ve set up a feng shui formation for my own reasons, which can be utilized for Elder Yu’s treatment, but apart from that, it’s not open to the public, nor do I accept applications.”
Yu Zhiyuan nodded with a chuckle, “Understood, I’ve heard Elder Yuan talk about it. He’s worried about not being able to come to escape the summer heat this year.”
He said those words, but deep down he didn’t really believe it. In Zhengyang City, there weren’t many places the Yu Family couldn’t enter–just because Yuan Zihao couldn’t do it, didn’t mean the Yu Family couldn’t; it was just a matter of what they were willing to pay.
However, those were concerns for later. The priority now was to cure the old master first.
Feng Jun saw his agreeable response and also stood up, extending his hand with a smile, “Then, I’ll be waiting for you at Luohua Manor at 7 o’clock tomorrow morning!”
Yu Zhiyuan also stood up and shook his hand, “Alright, see you tomorrow morning…”
Though he said that, after sending Feng Jun off, Yu Zhiyuan still shook his head and muttered softly, “This guy… doesn’t your manor have a place for guests to stay? Forcing me to get up so early tomorrow!”
He didn’t believe that Luohua Manor wouldn’t have guest rooms. Otherwise, wouldn’t that mean Yuan Zihao slept in the open air when he went there to cool off in the summer?
But those were trivial matters. What was important was that he needed to report and communicate the results to his brothers and sisters.
As expected, when the other Yu Family children heard that the old master would be treated at Luohua Manor, they all voiced their disagreement with a babble, but when the “feng shui” argument was laid out, they were left without recourse.
No matter how powerful you are, there are some things you have to seek out; even Emperor Hanwu wanted to conduct a Fengshan Sacrifice, he still had to go to Mount Tai and couldn’t move Mount Tai to Chang’an; if the founding emperor wanted to swim in the great river, he could only go to Jiangxia, he couldn’t move the great river beside Miyun Reservoir.
Early the next day, Feng Jun waited at the mountain gate for Yu Zhiyuan, and Yu Zhiyuan’s car arrived at the gate of Luohua Manor around 6:55 am.
To leave a deep impression, Feng Jun only allowed the driver to drive in, while the other attendants were not permitted to enter.
Yu Zhiyuan didn’t fuss over these details, and when he got out of the car at the small courtyard, he said with a smile, “The air is really nice this early in the morning.”
“It’s not just the air that’s nice,” Feng Jun led him on foot, “there are even more miraculous things here.”
Upon arriving at the valley, the mist that filled the air immediately brightened Yu Zhiyuan’s eyes, “How beautiful.”
Feng Jun didn’t say much else, leading him into the bamboo forest, “This is where my disciples are practicing their cultivation. Want to feel it?”
Currently practicing in the bamboo forest were Gazi, Wang Haifeng, and Xu Leigang, along with a woman with a light veil covering her face. Xu Leigang, noticing Yu Zhiyuan’s arrival, could not help but stop his practice to stand up and nod with a smile, but he did not speak.
Yu Zhiyuan, upon seeing this scene, couldn’t help but feel a sense of disharmony–as if they had been duped by Feng Jun. He meant no disrespect to Master Feng, but he couldn’t help thinking that way.
Taking a couple of deep breaths, he truly felt refreshed and unbelievably relaxed.
But this only made him a bit nervous: Am I about to be brainwashed? Is it electromagnetic interference?
Sure enough, the next moment, Xu Leigang gave him a slight smile and softly said, “You’re quite lucky.”
This place… feels a bit unnatural, Yu Zhiyuan thought, but he didn’t dare say it out loud. Feng shui is something–if you believe it, it exists, if you don’t, it doesn’t. Even those who don’t believe usually don’t speak ill of it openly.
After standing there for five or six minutes, Yu Zhiyuan subconsciously took out a cigarette to light it, and said softly, “This bamboo forest stays green through winter. Truly is a precious feng shui spot.”
No sooner had he finished speaking, the veiled woman opened her eyes and gave him a disdainful glance.
Yu Zhiyuan was a bit annoyed inside but didn’t make a fuss–given his status, making a fuss would be beneath him.
So, he just softly asked Master Feng, “What feng shui arrangement is this?”
“That… ha, ” Feng Jun chuckled, which clearly meant–why would I tell you?
Then they left the bamboo forest, and Feng Jun proposed with a smile, “Getting up so early, you haven’t had breakfast, right? It’s ready in the manor, let’s go have something to eat together.”
After walking out of the bamboo forest, Yu Zhiyuan suddenly noticed something odd, “Is that mist getting fainter?”
“That mist only appears in the morning, and it will disappear when the sun rises,” Feng Jun explained with a smile, “That’s exactly why I invited you to come a bit earlier, to witness this spectacle.”
“So that’s the case,” Yu Zhiyuan nodded with a smile, about to say something more when he heard a scream behind him, “F*ck…”
The scream came from his driver, who was not young, at least in his mid-thirties, pointing at a piece of bamboo forest with a pale face, “A butterfly… a butterfly carrying an iPad… My vision is 5.1, there’s no way it’s an illusion!”
Yu Zhiyuan wished he could slap his driver; for heaven’s sake, have you never seen a butterfly? Unnoticed, he heard the driver say, “A butterfly… carrying an iPad… My vision is 5.1, it can’t be a hallucination!”
Yu Zhiyuan gave Feng Jun an awkward smile, “He’s been under some stress lately because of family issues, and got up a bit earlier today… My apologies, Master Feng.”
Feng Jun shook his head, speaking earnestly, “It’s fine, I don’t mind. Luohua does indeed have such a butterfly.”
“What the heck?” Yu Zhiyuan’s eyes widened in shock, “A butterfly… big enough to embrace an iPad?”
Forget the size, even the weight seemed impossible; we’re talking about a butterfly, not a golden eagle.
Feng Jun smiled, choosing not to elaborate further as Yu Zhiyuan also fell silent, though a new suspicion formed in his mind.
In the manor’s private kitchen, breakfast was definitely Spirit Rice, which Yu Zhiyuan relished with great gusto. After finishing his meal, he was in no rush to leave, instead opting for a walk around the courtyard.
Seeing Feng Jun come out, he pointed towards the little Jade building in the backyard and asked with a smile, “Is that the building made of Mutton Fat White Jade?”
Feng Jun hesitated, a bit reluctant to let the other party take a look since the women in his life were cultivating in the backyard.
However, after thinking it over, he still responded with a smile, “Yes, that place is not open to the public. But since Elder Yu is interested, I’ll make an exception… It won’t be convenient next time, though.”
Yu Zhiyuan nodded his head with a smile, not taking the remark as an insult. For him, visiting exclusive-access areas was the norm, or to put it another way, the concept of ‘not open to the public’ basically didn’t apply to his circle.
However, after stepping through the Moon Gate, he was slightly taken aback. First, he hadn’t expected to find a dense bamboo forest in the modest-sized backyard, and secondly, there were actually people cultivating here.
What surprised him even more was that all the cultivators here were women, each one more beautiful than the last.
Hold on, who do I see? He blinked incredulously, looking at Yang Yuxin.
Director Yang, dressed in sportswear, was also sitting cross-legged there, and right next to her sat a young girl who bore a striking five-points resemblance to her, sitting in a dignified and serene posture.
Could this really be a cult? Yu Zhiyuan was inwardly shocked to see that Yang Yuxin was actually bringing her daughter here for cultivation.
Director Yang seemed to feel his gaze, opened her eyes to glance over, gave him a slight nod without speaking a word, and then lowered her eyelids again, continuing to meditate.
Feng Jun led him around the back building, then they ascended the steps to the front of the little Jade building.
Yu Zhiyuan wasn’t particularly interested in jade, but he had still seen his fair share of quality pieces. As he stepped forward to touch the building’s walls, he nodded slightly, “This really…is Mutton Fat White Jade.”
“Of course,” Feng Jun replied with a smile, and then raised a hand to press the fingerprint recognition lock.
Once inside, he quipped with a laugh, “Since this building was completed, less than five people have entered. Director Yang hasn’t even been in here, so it’s truly an exception… I won’t take you to the upper floors.”
Yang Yuxin has never been in here? Yu Zhiyuan was momentarily stunned, then smiled and nodded, “That’s really an honor.”
In reality, there wasn’t much to see inside the house; the furniture was sparse, embodying a style of simplicity.
Yu Zhiyuan lingered for roughly five minutes before following Feng Jun back out, feeling profoundly amazed because he could sense that this building… was genuinely constructed of Mutton Fat White Jade.
An entire building made of Mutton Fat White Jade… To be honest, it really lived up to the phrase “wealthy enough to rival a country.”
Passing by the courtyard again and seeing Yang Yuxin meditating there, Yu Zhiyuan began to understand why she would bring her daughter to cultivate together — Master Feng truly was no ordinary individual.
Then he took a moment to feel around and asked in a low voice, turning his head, “Master, the atmosphere here… also seems pretty good?”
Feng Jun glanced at him, smiling and giving a thumbs up, “You have an eye for quality.”
Of course, it was just a general compliment. When it came down to sensitivity to Spiritual Energy, Yu Zhiyuan was leagues behind Xiao Wu.
After reaching the front courtyard, Yu Zhiyuan’s driver hurried over and handed him a mobile phone, “Boss, a call for you.”
About two minutes later, he hung up and approached, speaking formally, “My old man has started his journey… He should be here in a little over two hours. Can he stay in the manor?”
Feng Jun looked at him with surprise, “He can arrive in a little over two hours?”
“Private train,” Yu Zhiyuan answered nonchalantly, “It’s safer and more convenient than taking the highway.”
True to big boss form, a private train sent out just like that–he had the power to indulge.
After a moment of consideration, Feng Jun responded carefully, “My manor is a very private place, which Elder Yu should also be aware of… For instance, the butterfly embracing an iPad isn’t something I’d want people to see.”
That was a polite refusal, and Yu Zhiyuan understood perfectly. However, remembering the sight of Yang Yuxin and her daughter in the backyard, not only was he not annoyed, but he also secretly breathed a sigh of relief–there was no worry that his old man would be duped.
He pondered for a moment before asking, “You said that my old man’s treatment requires the atmosphere here… If he doesn’t stay, will it affect the treatment efficacy? And for your previous patients, how did you manage that?”
With a lift of his hand, Feng Jun pointed to a large bus parked not too far away, and spoke with a smile, “Using that. It’s also fully equipped… The bus will park right outside the manor gate.”
