Betrayed By My Mate, Claimed By His Lycan King Uncle
Chapter 119: What are you doing Sorayah?

Chapter 119: What are you doing Sorayah?

Then, without another word, she leaned in and pressed her lips to his.

Dimitri responded almost instantly, kissing Sorayah back with an intensity that bordered on desperation. His hands gripped her waist tightly, as if he feared she might vanish if he let go. The world spun around them...vanished even as if they were the only two beings left on earth. The kiss consumed them both, igniting a fire that made time itself feel irrelevant.

After what felt like an eternity, Dimitri finally broke the kiss. His chest rose and fell in heavy breaths as he stared at her, eyes blazing with something between hunger and confusion. Without a word, he took Sorayah’s hand, his grip firm but trembling slightly with restrained desire, and led her out of the training ground.

Sorayah followed, heart pounding, lips still tingling from the kiss. Neither spoke as they made their way through the corridors until they reached Dimitri’s chambers. He pushed the door open with force, and once she stepped inside, he slammed it shut behind her with a loud bang.

Before she could take another breath, Dimitri had her backed up against the wall. His arms slammed against the wall on either side of her head, effectively caging her in. His emerald eyes bore into hers, wild and unreadable.

"What are you doing Sorayah? Do you even know what you’re playing with, young lady?" he asked, his voice low and gravelly, his breathing ragged like a man who’d just finished running a marathon...though all he had done was kiss her.

Silence hung heavy between them.

Sorayah said nothing. She only stared at him, wide-eyed, as her thoughts raced in chaos.

Is he losing his mind because of me... or is he just doing this because I kissed him first? Maybe he’s only interested in exploring my body, like I’m just another one of his concubines... a disposable toy to him. She swallowed hard, her throat suddenly dry.

"What are you thinking, Your Highness?" she finally asked, breaking the silence. Her voice was soft but edged with challenge. "What do you see when you look at me right now?"

Her eyes locked onto his with fierce curiosity, refusing to look away.

Dimitri didn’t answer with words.

Instead, he crushed his mouth against hers again, this kiss rougher, more demanding. His arms slid around her, lifting her clean off the ground. Instinctively, Sorayah wrapped her legs around his waist, her fingers tangled in his hair as the world faded around them once more. He carried her to the bed without breaking the kiss, lowering her gently onto the mattress as he climbed on top of her, their breaths mingling between more stolen kisses.

"What... what are you trying to do, Your Highness?" Sorayah whispered breathlessly, placing both hands on his muscular chest to halt his movements. "You aren’t getting the wrong idea here, are you?"

"Wrong idea?" Dimitri echoed, his lips curling into a smirk. "What wrong idea?"

"This," she muttered, her voice cracking slightly as she averted her gaze. "This thing you’re doing."

He paused, still hovering above her, his eyes narrowing. "Why did you kiss me, Sorayah? Wasn’t it because of this?"

"You’re completely misunderstanding," she said quickly, almost defensively. "You’ve kissed me whenever you wanted to, without explanation or warning. And when I ask why, you either give ridiculous excuses or none at all. So when I finally take the initiative for once... you act like I’ve committed a crime."

She rolled her eyes and looked away again, clearly frustrated, her jaw tight with emotion.

Dimitri stared at her for a long moment before releasing a short, bitter chuckle. He rolled off her and sat up on the edge of the bed.

"Fine," he said coolly, though there was still heat behind his tone. "You should go and rest if you don’t have anything else to do. You’ll need your strength tonight."

"Tonight?" she asked, sitting up slowly.

"Yes," he said, voice firm. "Tonight’s your final training. I’m afraid to say, it may be the most dangerous yet."

A seriousness settled over his features as he stood and turned his back to her.

"You better survive, Sorayah," he added, quieter now. "Because if you don’t, you’ll never learn the real reason why I kissed you all those times. And no... it’s not just to heal you. There’s something more."

Sorayah’s eyes widened, breath catching in her throat. That answer...it only raised more questions.

What is it, Dimitri? Why won’t you just tell me? But she knew the answer already. Once Dimitri made a decision, he never strayed from it.

She needed to win tonight. She had to. It was the only way to uncover the truth about his kisses...the ones that haunted her every night, even in her dreams.

"Goodbye, Your Highness," she said quietly, standing and offering him a respectful bow. "I’ll see you tonight."

Without waiting for a response, she turned and exited the room, leaving behind a storm of emotions neither of them fully understood.

Meanwhile...

The moment Empress Luna left the Alpha Emperor’s manor, her footsteps grew heavy with frustration. Her expression was one of pure fury as she made her way toward the office of her father...the War Gamma Lord.

He wasn’t just any military commander. He was one of the two most powerful men in the empire....feared even by the emperor himself. Only he and the Beta Lord could bend the Alpha Emperor’s will.

She burst into his chambers without knocking.

"What got you so worked up, Luna Empress?" the Gamma Lord asked gruffly, glancing up from a pile of war reports. A seasoned man with a shock of white hair and a powerful presence, he was not one to tolerate weakness...especially not from his daughter.

"That look on your face..." he continued, narrowing his eyes. "A daughter of mine should never wear such an expression. You’re a warrior. Start acting like one."

"You don’t understand, Father," The Luna snapped, her voice sharp with restrained rage. "The Alpha Emperor... he refuses to touch me. How am I supposed to bear an heir if he won’t even look at me like a woman?"

The Gamma Lord stiffened.

"And as if that wasn’t enough," she continued, her voice rising with each word, "a lowly maid has somehow caught his attention. A servant! She dares walk around the palace like she owns the place."

Her hands clenched at her sides, her nails digging into her palms.

"You’re this worked up over a maid, sister? A human maid?" a young man with fiery red hair....so vivid it looked like it had been forged in hellfire exclaimed, his face contorted with disbelief. A jagged scar stretched from his cheekbone to his jaw, making his expression all the more intense. "Unbelievable."

"All of the Alpha Emperor’s attention is now being directed toward her brother," Melissa hissed, her nails digging into her palm. "We all know the Alpha Emperor is already slipping into madness thanks to the medicine I’ve been mixing into his meals...delivered, of course, by servants who are later killed by the emperor himself after he took their virginity. Every one of those servants met a tragic end after delivering that tainted food."

She clenched her jaw, her voice bitter with frustration. "But then this Sorayah... she’s not even on meal duty, so she’s never in danger of delivering the poisoned dish. She’s outside of my control. I even tried to have her assassinated outside the palace, but the Beta Lord stepped in and saved her!"

Her voice cracked, but she pushed on, eyes wide with fear and rage. "The Alpha Emperor came to my chambers that very night. He warned me. He told me never to try something like that again. I’m scared, Father. If that lowborn maid ends up pregnant... I’ll be humiliated! The entire pack will laugh at me. And I can’t even defend myself not without admitting he never slept with me. That would be even more disgraceful than being called barren! I’d have to stand by while another Luna Empress is crowned right before my eyes."

Tears streamed down the Luna empress cheeks, staining her perfect complexion as her voice trembled. "I can’t let that happen, Father."

"Melissa," the Gamma Lord said sternly, his weathered hand gripping her shoulders firmly as their gazes met. His white hair gleamed under the candlelight, giving him an ethereal but commanding presence. "You’re my daughter. Not just that...you are an Empress. Crushing a maid is like crushing an ant. The Alpha Emperor said you shouldn’t harm her. He never said someone else couldn’t. Or... better yet, we let her bring about her own ruin. Make her dig her own grave."

His lips curled into a dangerous smirk. "And as for the child... are you not a woman? Use what nature gave you. Lure the Alpha Emperor to your chambers....just one night is all it takes. After that, it’s over."

"You don’t understand, Father," Melissa whispered, her voice thick with despair. "I’ve tried everything. But there’s a limit to how much I can do. It’s not just that he doesn’t stay in my chambers....he’s never even entered them. Not once. The Alpha Emperor hates me. He despises everything about me."
