Betrayed By My Mate, Claimed By His Lycan King Uncle -
Chapter 111: He kissed me again!
Chapter 111: He kissed me again!
She stared at him, stunned into silence.
How dare he?! Sorayah thought to herself, her heart beating faster than usual.
"Yo..you...What are you saying, Your Highness?" Sorayah finally asked, her voice barely above a whisper as she swallowed hard. A deep frown furrowed her brows, and with hesitant fingers, she reached up to touch Dimitri’s forehead. "Are you feeling unwell? Is that why you’re saying things like this? Are you cold, or feverish?"
Dimitri didn’t respond. Instead, he abruptly pulled her closer again, his grip firm yet trembling. His lips crashed against hers, intense and searing, stealing the breath from her lungs. The kiss was wild, desperate and full of unspoken words. Sorayah’s body betrayed her....though her mind screamed for her to pull awy, her lips responded, her heart racing violently in her chest.
And just like that....it ended.
Dimitri pulled away just as suddenly as he had kissed her. Rising to his feet, he towered over her with the rain still beating over their heads, his expression unreadable.
He kissed me again! Sorayah thought to herself, her fist tightly cleched at her side.
"Go and get some rest," he said in a low voice, his tone curt but oddly gentle. "We’ll continue this training tomorrow."
Without waiting for her reply, Dimitri turned and walked away, his footsteps fading into the night. Sorayah remained seated on the muddy floor, her breath still uneven, her fingers brushing against her tingling lips.
What the heck is wrong with him? she thought, confused and frustrated. How could he kiss me and then leave like nothing happened?
She touched her lips again, still dazed. But then...there it was. The same strange taste she had swallowed back at the riverbank during the war...the bitter, metallic warmth of something unnatural....slid down her throat once more.
"I won’t let anyone take you from me, Sorayah. Not Lupien. Not fate. Not even yourself."
Dimitri’s words echoed in her mind. Her face heated with sudden embarrassment, and she bit her lower lip to stifle the rush of emotions threatening to break free.
He’s healing me... but why would he say something like that? He should have just said he was healing me rather than making me get the wrong idea.
Dimitri is manipulative. Cunning. Everything he does is calculated. She told herself fiercely, clenched her fists, forcing herself to push away the fluttering feeling in her chest, and walked quickly toward her sleeping quarters, eager to retreat into the safety of solitude.

Meanwhile, in Dimitri’s chambers, the moment he crossed the threshold, his strength gave out.
A thick splatter of blood escaped from between his lips, staining the polished marble floor. He clutched at his chest as painful stings coursed through him. His breath came in ragged gasps, and the muscles in his neck tensed violently as another mouthful of clotted blood surged up his throat.
"Your Highness!" Liam’s voice rang out in alarm as he rushed towards him. "Did you use your healing powers again? Why would you do that when you know the consequences?! Are you trying to kill yourself?!"
"Stop talking... and get me to my bed," Dimitri rasped, his voice hoarse and weak.
Liam quickly supported him, half-dragging his lord across the room until Dimitri collapsed onto the edge of the bed. Without wasting a moment, Liam went to a hidden drawer near the wall and opened it, revealing a line of identical glass bottles. He snatched one quickly, uncorked it, and retrieved a small, black, circular pill from within.
"Here," he said, placing the pill in Dimitri’s trembling hand.
Dimitri swallowed it immediately without water, his eyes closing briefly as he tried to still the pain in his chest.
"Do you feel any better, Your Highness?" Liam asked, his voice laced with genuine worry. "You can promote healing in others, yes....but not in yourself. Your powers are turned against you. You still need to rely on these drugs....those infused with the Moon’s sacred water just to keep your wounds from festering. You know that using your powers on others risks everything. And you did it... for a common maid?!"
Dimitri’s lips curled into a faint, ironic smile. "Sorayah is not just a maid," he replied slowly. "She’s a special human... and we need her to take down Lupien."
"I don’t care what she is," Liam snapped, his eyes burning with frustration. "I care that you’re dying. Since the curse, everything in you that was once light has turned dark. You were labeled the God of Ruin by the Moon Goddess herself. A god who brings only chaos, illness, despair. Every ability that once made you divine now comes at a price. Healing others cuts into your own life. Your fertility became infertility. Every act of goodness now tries to destroy you!"
"I know all of this, Liam," Dimitri muttered, wincing as another throb shook his chest. "You don’t need to recite the curse....I’ve lived with it long enough. Helping Sorayah is a risk. A costly one. But I won’t die yet. Not until I’ve fulfilled my purpose. Not until I’ve burned everything that ruined me."
His eyes glinted with a dangerous fire, even through the pain.
"And besides," he added, almost as an afterthought, "she thinks I don’t know who she truly is. But I do. She is the human crown prince I’ve been searching for...the one with the power to lift my curse. The one fated to either save me... or destroy me."
Liam’s mouth parted in shock, but Dimitri wasn’t done.
"You know she’s the Crown Prince we’ve been searching for?! Are you serious, Your Highness?" Liam’s voice shot up an octave as he took a step forward, eyes wide in disbelief, his expression contorted in shock as though his eyeballs might burst from their sockets.
"Yes, she is," Dimitri said calmly, yet firmly. His voice carried the weight of absolute certainty. "Sorayah isn’t someone you can coerce into obedience. She won’t bend to threats or force. I have to earn her trust...show her loyalty, offer her help and only then, perhaps, will she willingly help me in return."
He paused for a moment, his gaze distant as though reliving every interaction he had with her. Then he continued, his tone darker, more resolved.
"If I were to try and force her to lift the curse through torture or manipulation, she would rather die than allow me to live. That’s who she is."
He turned toward Liam fully, his emerald eyes gleaming with grim intensity. "So, I have no other choice but to win her over. And fortunately for me, our goals align.....we both want Lupien destroyed. She’ll help me bring him down. And when I rise as the Alpha Emperor, she will remain by my side... as my concubine."
A heavy silence followed. Dimitri sighed deeply, placing a hand over his still-aching chest.
"You’re right, Your Highness," Liam muttered at last, his voice low, eyes lowered in concern. "But I’m still worried about you. Truly. You constantly risk your life because of Sorayah but still you should be careful."
"I know what I’m doing Liam." Dimitri replied with seriousness etched in his tone. "You don’t have to be worried."
"And again, with everything that’s unfolding... what should we do about Concubine Arata and the bastard she carries? Will you keep turning a blind eye to the truth?"
He hesitated before continuing, as if afraid of crossing a line. "You know she planned all these, drugging you and all just to make Sorayah your concubine for a reason. She’s trying to use her as a weapon....to provoke Lady Mira. She knows Sorayah will want vengeance for Lily’s death once the truth comes out and I’m sure she want to France lady Mira for that once the time comes."
Dimitri chuckled darkly, a sardonic edge curling his lips. "I know all of Arata’s little games, Liam. I’ve simply chosen not to interfere. But she went too far this time....sleeping with another man and claiming the child in her womb is mine? Not when I cannot father a child... not until my curse is lifted by Sorayah."
He looked away, his eyes narrowing. "Let her keep playing her dirty games for a little while longer. In the end, Sorayah or Mira will deal with her. I have no desire to involve myself in the chaos of the harem. That battlefield belongs to the women."
"Understood, Your Highness." Liam gave a respectful bow, though his brows remained furrowed with unease. "On another note... I’ve discovered the identity of Lily’s killer. I’m not certain whether Sorayah should know just yet. If you wait until you’ve brought down the Alpha Emperor, she’ll have the authority and strength to deal with them properly. Once she’s your Imperial Concubine, her power will be undeniable."
Dimitri’s gaze sharpened. "I already know the murderer."
Liam’s eyes widened again, but he said nothing.
"I intend to tell Sorayah," Dimitri said with certainty. "It will fuel her desire for vengeance....and push her to join forces with me completely. The sooner Lupien falls, the sooner we both get what we want."
