Chapter 63: Chapter 61 Don’t refuse me!

Returning home, Ash was in the courtyard seated on the stone table in thought. On seeing him, Sydney ran over but seeing that he hadn’t noticed her, she didn’t say a word and sat there to keep him company.

After a while, she couldn’t stand the silence and probed. "Ash..is something bothering you??" she was curious. Was it because of having his position challenged? But Ash wasn’t some kind of power hungry beast, she could tell from his demeanor...it seemed like if it was possible, he couldn’t wait to hand this burden to someone else to bear its weight.

"Oh..you returned!" he said and dismissed his thoughts giving her all his attention.

"Is something bothering you? You know you can talk to me about it." Sydney said as she placed her hand on his own.

Feeling the soft and warm hands on his, Ash looked down and then back into her eyes. "I’m fine Sydney...I was just thinking of the city development for this year. We have a large number of snake beasts that have joined because of Titan and we have to accommodate them. It’s what I was thinking about." he explained to her with a soft smile.

"Is it not because of what happened earlier?" she asked gingerly. You know...the people we love and trust and care for tend to be the first to betray us. I can understand if you are sad because of what they tried to do while you were away!".

Ash was surprised. She managed to guess what was on his mind despite doing his best to mask his emotions. But she was here and she wanted to share his burdens...its was a once in a lifetime gift. He was really glad to have been accepted by her. "Not really.....I’m not sad because of them. I’m sad because you had to see such a situation in the city I lead." he sighed.

"You did nothing wrong! I don’t blame you! You should be angry with them...they haven’t appreciated you and your efforts and sacrifices for them! And they can’t wait to replace you because you were absent only for a short while! Instead of beating yourself over it, you should be angry with them!"

"I also want to throw a tantrum but I’m an adult beast and the city lord." He laughed bitterly. Sydney was taken aback but she didn’t know if he was joking or telling the truth. She was the same when she was younger ...she hated throwing a tantrum or her brother would pester her calling her a cry baby and with that, she grew up a little earlier than she would have.

"Are you afraid of getting embarrassed?’ Sydney asked carefully.

"Hahaha...you got that right out of my mouth! I also don’t wish for my mate to underlook me."

"I don’t mind...you can throw a tantrum with me around! I won’t judge you or laugh at you....I’ll comfort you..." she said with conviction. With no psychologists and mental specialist in this world, it was no news that these prideful males suffered in silence. But she didn’t want her family to go through that when she was here!

"Really?" Ash asked skeptically. He watched her green eyes that were showing how ernest her feelings were.

"Come on....throw a tantrum already....you have me by your side!" she carefully implored him as though she was coaxing a little girl.

"Just hug me...that should do.." Ash suggested jokingly his emerald eyes staring deep into her soul. Sydney looked at him and shyly scooted over next to him. She wrapped her arms around his neck and embraced him which caught him off guard but he didn’t reject her intentions. He hugged her back and immediately relaxed letting out a sigh.

"You smell really good!" he mumbled in a daze and stuffed his nose in the crook of his neck. A tingling sensation travelled down her spine almost drawing a shudder from her. Ash drew his hands to her waist and wrapped her in his firm hold. "You scent is sweet and you are so soft...just like before..." Back in the days, she was the one who held him in her hold and warmed him up but now...he was doing so for her! Even though she didn’t remember, he did and he was happy to get to meet her again.

"Huh?!" Sydney who was hazy from being in a man’s arms for the first time didn’t catch on what he said since his voice was muffled.

"Nothing..." Ash rasped. He was feeling extremely werid hugging her as his body was acting out of line. He burned!

"Oh..." Sydney was disappointed and withdrew from his hold with a flushed face. She didn’t dare meet his gaze and he also refused to let go of her frail looking hands.

"Do you want to mate with me?" he asked with a serious expression.

"HUH!!!!????" Sydney was shocked that for a moment, she felt that she was hallucinating. How can Ash ask her to mate with him?!

Before Sydney could react, Ash had drawn close to her and locked his lips with her.

Ken and Shawn were busy in the backyard trying to milk the cow Ash had brought back. The beast was huge and had alot of meat but Ash had been strict that it wasn’t for eating but milking.

"Why is it so aggressive now!" Ken was so pissed. Ash had gotten the milk from it and it hadn’t been aggressive but when he tried to touch it’s breasts, the beast fumed and almost kicked him.

Shawn couldn’t see and was tasked with restraining it and with that aside, he couldn’t hold back it’s hind legs that kept trying to attack Ken. "This is so infuriating!" Ken growled amd almost knocked over the stone bowl that had his efforts of milking which wasn’t even quarter a cup.

"Stop growling! It thinks you want to eat it!" Shawn said.

"Heh! Since you are so capable and all knowing...why don’t you take my place?" Ken snarled as he glared harshly at Shawn who was looking at him from the front. He honestly didn’t like Shawn and he, ken was in this home because of Shawn not pursuing the matter of their fued.

"I’m blind and could easily get hurt. If you want Sydney’s attention, love and care to fall on me, I’m very willing to take your place." Shawn said sarcastically.

Ken whose attention was on how Sydney would look after the injured Shawn immediately refused and went back to milk the cow. "You are right....if I get injured getting the milk for her, she’ll pity me and I’ll surely be attended to by her! At that time, I’ll cajole her into mating with me!" he boasted but Shawn merely snickered.

You’ll need to get in line for that." Shawn laughed.

Caden who was busy in the kitchen halted his actions and sniffed the air. Not long, Titan joined him in the kitchen with the same look. "Someone is in rut!" Caden frowned.

"Your right...I couldn’t have guessed it wrongly!" Titan replied.

Immediately letting go of the saddle, Caden rushed to. the back but returned and ran to the courtyard. What he saw had his feathers ruffled in anger.

Ash’s kiss which started as gentle, coaxing and sweet foreplay had now turned a little aggressive for Sydney. Ash plunged his hot tongue into Sydney’s mouth and didn’t allow her to resist him as he held her tightly in his embrace before shifting her that she was laying down on the stone table with him getting ontop of her and locking her small body under his.

The whole of his body felt like it had been set on fire and he couldn’t control his actions. Moaning in pain as he sucked roughly on her tongue to the point that it hurt, Sydney struggled with all she had and managed to break free from the rough kiss but she didn’t get a chance to catch her breath before her lips were locked one more time.

"Ash stop!" She tried to tell him but her plea was burried in the depths of her throat as he sought relief for his primal desires from her.

"Don’t refuse me!" he growled his emerald eyes flashing dangerously at her and holding her steadily so that she could stop rejecting him.

The taste of blood filled Sydney’s mouth when his fangs scrapped at her red lips and she winced. She stopped resisting him but also didn’t reciprocate his actions as she felt something was wrong with Ash as he wasn’t someone to behave like a hooligan.

Kissing her didn’t feel enough, Ash felt his way around her lower waist and hoisted her up so that her body was pressed against his, most especially his hot and painful jewel. He rubbed himself against her and growled with satisfaction but the size of what was rubbed against Sydney shocked her. Her body was aflame from his ministrations but her mind was still sane. She placed her hands against his chest and tried to pull back from him...she wasn’t ready for this ...not yet!
