Hello guys!! It’s been a very long while but I’m finally back from my one year and right months haitus.

I’d like to apologise to you all my dear readers who supported me at the beginning of this journey, somethings I can’t explain happened that grated me to a halt and I didn’t know when it’d come to an end so I didn’t make a promise on when to resume updating afraid of being unable to fulfill my promise.

But now, I’m back in full, great health, high drive and well renewed zeal!!!

I hope it’s not too late and you guys can still give me a chance for us to continue with this journey.

It’s my greatest honour to be back here and with you all.

I’m going to ensure daily updates while also editing the mess I made in the previous Chapters but don’t you worry, there will be not much of a change and you can start from right where you stopped.

Outside the elder’s house.

A group of stone ape spirit beasts each adorned with traits from other lineages like horns, large canines rushes into the village their huge frames bringing along a mini earthquake. Their imposing manner and higher rank had the settlements residents trembling in place and no one dared to breathe too heavily.

The leader of the group scanned around the settlement and spoke up, his voice falling over like thunder. " A group of beastmen were spotted entering this village but have yet to come out, bring them over or pay a heavy price!" This was a small settlement with hardly any outstanding backing, razing it to the ground was nothing!

Learning that his beloved son Chike had died, the stone ape spirit beast king gathered his army to come and investigate only to learn that there was a group of stupidly bold beastmen that were roaming their lands!!

Without question, it was those beastmen that caused the death of his son, if he couldn’t kill them, then he dared not return home to his mate whom he left raging.

The elder took the beastmen to his place...." One of the spirit beasts who loathed the elder spoke up. If the elder was killed for conspiring with beastmen, then he as the second strongest in the settlement would take over and hence, he didn’t hold back in ratting them out.

When his words fell, Chike’s father looked over with a narrowed gaze then commanded his subordinates to rush to the elder’s house.

Sydney held tightly onto Ash’s fur as they sprinted as fast as they could along with the elder who shamelessly decided to tag along.

Stone apes weren’t an enemy they could afford to face off with right now, not with the army of his kind that he brought along.

Why are you following along?" Kevin growled at the elder. He already felt displeased with this guy and now it was following along! He wanted nothing but to plummet it to death!

Do you think that if I stay behind I’ll be forgiven? I’m already labelled a traitor and besides, you bunch of kids need the guidance of an elder along the way!"

Shameless! Shameless! Shameless!!! Whose elder are you?! You are nothing but an old pervert!!" Kevin dashed to the elder’s side and tripped him then ran to catch up with the others.

Whilst they were talking before, Sydney learnt from the elder also known as Elder ( since he doesn’t remember his name) that he could be useful to them along the way and with the arrival of those stone apes, he was able to let them know about those big guys characteristics which had them turning tail and running away.

Not long night came but the soft tremors on the ground told them that their pursuers were still hot on their tail!

Sydney was tired from riding the entire day and the others though had taken turns hunting, their female had only had fruits.

"Up ahead!!" Elder spoke pointing towards a mountain range.

However, none of them listened to him and carried on along. None of Sydney’s males trusted this spirit beast worried that letting down their guard would lead them into walking a trap or something.

Carlos and Caden also didn’t dare take the skies since this region was infested with a kind of spirit beast known as the blood bat.

Travelling in large numbers, it’d be a risky move to draw attention the attention of those spirit beasts.

Though feared for their unrivaled brute strength, the stone apes had it hard dealing with long distances and so, once they rested, Sydney’s group also rested for the night.

Everyone was silent and Sydney fell asleep after getting something hot into her stomach.

Ken put out the fire. Shawn and Kevin shifted into their beast forms and acted as heater’s for Sydney.

In the dead of the the night, Ash shifted his attention to Elder his eyes glowing dangerously in the night. There were some things that couldn’t be said but that didn’t mean that it was hard to understand.

While Elder might have seemed like an amiable spirit beast, he most definitely had his own goals to achieve and unless his goals were honestly laid out, none of the men present were willing to let him keep following them.

You are an unmated spirit beast!" Ash spoke up. Like an opening statement, they needed him to fill in the rest of the story or else....

Elder looked through these men and smiles. " I’ve been waiting for you lot for a very long time." He said and his body shook a bit to reveal his true beast form of a tiger before give his body another shake to shift into a human form.

"I hail from the spirit beast forest far far from here. My main purpose for coming over was to act as a scout for the seven great clans in search for the golden one."

Golden one!!!

The first thing that came to the mind of all the men was Titan.

They frowned deeply.

Elder laughed at their expressions and continued. "While I found the golden one in his infancy, he was a sneaky guy who slipped through my hands almost every single time. One time when I had him and was ready to head back, I learned that my clan was eradicated once I informed them that I had the golden one. At that time, they were supposed to cross over and meet me at our meeting point... "

Why did they kill your kind? It doesn’t make sense?" Enzo spoke softly.

The fire breathers, the golden one’s kind sought out my clan and unfortunately that news was leaked, worried that my clan would work with the fire breathers, the big seven killed them all! If not for my visionary ability, I wouldn’t have known what they did and might have ended up dead a long time ago."

Fire breathers? You mean that snake is a fire breathing snake?" Greg frowned.

That’s a topic for another time. Anyway, the golden one but me in another bid to escape like his previous attempts but this time, I didn’t have the time to bother him, and from thst bite, I received another vision that sparked my hope. Your female."

The men glared at him but he smiled. She’s the only one capable of helping me attain my revenge, that’s why for so many years after studying that vision, I stationed in that settlement and waited."

What was the vision you had about our female like?" Ask asked.

It’s not much, just that she stood before at the Mountain of origin and all creatures were bowing down to her and the surroundings showered with bodies of different beasts which indicated that it must have been an epic battle."

You mean our female is going to war?" Ken asked not liking the sound of this vision.

"It’s inevitable! If any of you have any idea what the spirit beasts wanted to do to your mate, you’d not be so lux about it."

What do they want to do?

I’m not to sure about the details but you tell me, if prey is placed before you after having starved for an entire moon, what would happen?"

"Is it because of the core?" Shawn asked raising his head.

"Not because of the core, she is and I’m sure you all already know that." Elder looked at them and smiled bitterly.

"So regardless of what happens, we will still be the victors in the end, right?" Kevin spoke and lowered his wolf head back to Sydney to nuzzle her. That’s all that mattered!

If she lived in the end, everything else was worth it and it’d be even better if he was by her side, and the others too of course.

Ash and the others also heaved a sigh of relief but Elder blew their bubble. " That’s not entirely the case."

"What do you mean?" Carlos spoke up with a frown. His emotions had been turbulent since he left the city of beasts with his biggest worry being Sydney’s safety but now learning of a war and all involved her, he was tempted to carry her back all the way to the city of beasts and lock her up!!

"In my vision, I first met her with her golden mate escorting along. He isn’t here!"

His meaning was as clear as day, while part of the vision has come to fruition, there was no guarantee that more variables will not keep popping up.
