The next morning came and they didn’t fly but to walk. In a few hours after sunrise, they arrived at another settlement and unlike the others they had gone by, this settlement had mostly carnivorous animals in their midst

They had decided on a rule, if they could go past peacefully, then they would do that but if they met stubborn ones, they’d be beaten into submission.

When the spirit beasts noticed them, all eyes sharply looked at them, the numbers weren’t that big since it was early in the morning.

Beastmen!!!" They were surprised, it was easy to tell since some of Sydney’s group were in their human form and Sydney too who was currently in Ray’s arms.

Not that she couldn’t walk, they just didn’t let her and she too was a little too lazy and still sleepy.

Hello friends, our female and us are just passing through. We hope you won’t be hostile with us."Enzo said amiably.

Friends?" A horned goose spirit beast as tall as four meters tall said in utter disbelief.

"Gozman don’t he wilful, you aren’t even enough for a single meal, why are you provoking them?"

You shut up!! Can’t you see, they have come to our territory and even dare to call us friends? Who is their friends? We should be killing them!!" Gozman said righteously.

Have they done anything wrong? Have they killed our own!? And besides, they have a female of their own and you can even see theate marks on her, there’s no way they’d want our females! Why don’t you just first hear them out before acting like a crazy bird!"

He was a bear spirit beast but with a mix of some bloodline from the cat family, he looked like the purest and least odd among those spirit beasts Sydney and her group had met. Also, there was the scary stretch of land, how had they crossed it because among spirit beasts, those that could fly couldn’t fly for long past that place without wanting to take a rest and hence the only ending would be falling into that scary place.

Going past here can’t be decided by me. I’ll get the settlement elder to decide." Bali said and cast Sydney another look. Even though he was a spirit beast, he felt that the female was exceptionally white and cute, he wondered what beast she is....

Okay. We will wait here." Enzo said and watched Bali run off. Not long, he returned with the settlement elder. He was an older spirit beast and it could be seen from how his body was slow in movement. When he came, he was surprised to see that beastmen were actually in their territory.

These lads were really daring and brave. He scanned through them and saw that they were all young and energetic.

Once he was sure he was away from his people, he turned to face Ash and the rest. "What are you cubs doing?" He rebuked harshly.

"What do you mean what are we doing?!"

"Stupid!!! All of you are stupid!!!" He bellowed out. If you want to run around and play, do that but why bring your female to such a place are you stupid?!"

" We will gang up on you and give you a good beating if you insult us one more time!!." Kevin said displeased

"Hahaha, look at this arrogant and blind fool!!! Thank your gods that the one you ran into is me! After all, even the cubs amongst us have no idea about this long drawn custom." He shook his hhead.

"What custom?" Ash asked feeling a little worried.

The elder sighed and gave his body a shake, in a few minutes, something unexpected happened before them leaving them shocked that they couldn’t talk!

"This..." Sydney’s mouth hang open.

In the place of the elder now stood a male around fourty years old and his former weakness disappeared like it never existed, right now, Ash and the others had a great sense of apprehension towards the male before them.

He was standing stark naked and it was only Carlos who recovered first and covered Sydney’s eyes sending a harsh glare at the spirit beast.

"Wear something!!!" Ken was like a cat whose tail was stepped on.

"What’s going on?" Enzo asked stepping back and standing before Sydney.

"Now you know why I called you stupid?! He asked with a sneer before regaining his usual form.

"Why don’t you explain how you are capable of becoming a beast man when you are clearly a spirit beast?!" Carlos asked.

"Sit. It’s a going to be a long talk.... But just so you know, I’m not doing this for you but for your female! At least she needn’t walk around with a bunch of stupid cubs with barely any grown hair only to have your female snatched and do nothing about it..."

"Eh, eh!!! Hurry it up! Our female needs to eat soon." Ken sneered with twitching ears but he could only say little afraid he’d receive a bad scolding from Sydney.

One of you should go and hunt....sigh, let it be. I’ll tell you what you need to know so that we can leave this place as soon as possible." The elder spoke taking a seat. Female, I don’t know if you are aware of what you are but if you are, then that’s going to save me alot of time." He said and observed how all her mates faces morphed regardless of how much they tried to hide it.

This left him with an urge to heat people up!!!

After recieving information from the elder, the group’s hairs stood on end and they hastened their journey ahead with an extra member of course.

The elder had tried to desuade them but after seeing how firm they were in their initiative to proceed and the power Sydney displayed, he chose to tag along as he had a few friendships with spirit beasts in the spirit beast city.

As it turned out, the spirit beasts of the original bloodlines could become beastmen as long as they mastered the art to do and the only Reason why it was hard to come by among spirit beasts is because over the years, those that didn’t have strong backgrounds with a rich heritage weren’t exposed to this kind of information.

Infact with the mismatch of bloodlines in an attempt to grow stronger, many spirit beasts lost this trait and their only choice was to be and stay as prey all their lives. It also came to their notice that the notebale in the spirit beasts city were in on this information but that was merely the three major clans.

Titan found his way without facing any hindrance. Some times when he ran into some spirit beasts, he’d take on his beast form and pass by them without being suspected and just like that, Fourteen days went by and the sea was now as close as a breathe away.

He decided to rest for a while. He found a cave and made himself comfortable before taking out the spirit stone. He had talked to the spirits inside for a long long time and now, he couldn’t go a day without picking out their stone to talk.

"We are only a few hours away from the sea." He said with a hiss and the the spirits inside his pouch were delighted. Thankfully, Titan had a cold temperature and this helped those spirit stones to maintain their spirit liquid without it evaporating or draining away easily.

What about you? You said you also have a mate.." Ray asked.

Yes. I do and she’s the most beautiful female in this whole world." Titan had an air of pride when he begun to talk about Sydney.

How come you are out here for this long. Don’t you fear that she’ll forget you?" Kevin teased.

Titan was no curious. How come there were such coincidences? When he listened to these spirits talk about their mate, it was like they were talking about his Sydney but he had greatly rejected this bizarre idea in his mind. "What’s your mate’s name?" He asked.

It’s Sydney." Ray replied his voice full of joy even just saying it.

Titan froze and he almost dropped the spirit stone.
