Titan snickered as he slithered down the tree. I can’t help but feel insecure." He looked at red with disdain.

None of them liked him, whole on tue other hand, the big snakes he encountered once in a while would wish to battle it out with him only to end up dead. What to do, he had no control over the power he used when in battle and it was only of recent when he joined Sydney’s family that his body naturally regulated the amount of brute force in accordance to the party he was fighting.

Now that he was away from her, his whole body was bursting with energy he had no control over.

Lately, he realised that he was lossing more scales than usual! At first, it wasn’t really alarming but now, he could feel that the scales on his back were exceptionally loose! He begun to pluck out those loose scales and place them before him. He intended to store them rather than throw them away.

Red glared and glared till he couldn’t glare anymore. He sighed helplessly and slithered away to go hunt. He had grown a little too comfortable that he forgot his purpose. If the big guy were to ever acknowledge his inheritance, Red would be nothing more than an ant in his eyes. He was the servant while the other was the lord, he couldn’t be too willful which would only fasten his death date.

Titan plucked out a total of one hundred and seventy five scales. Luckily, there was no need for him to use his human form or he’d really be a sight to see. Looking at his scales, he noticed that the tips that connected to his skin were black and not golden at all. It was like something corrosive had burnt at his scales so hard that they couldn’t hold.on for long. He could only deduce that it had to be either the unusual fires in his body or that his poison had maybe acted up. But at this time, he was unable to use his poison and could only think it was the reason.

Give me one of your scales!!!" Sydney’s expectant voice suddenly rang in his mind as the memory from that time returned. He smiled softly recalling those forest green eyes staring up at him with hope. I wonder how you are doing? I really miss you." Titan mumbled sadly. He used he tip of his tail to gather his scales and then placed them in his ’pouch’ at his under belly.

Red returned with the prey. But his frame couldn’t be seen at all! Only the prey and the trail of blood left behind was seen! It was like a moving mountain. The sight was really hilarious.

Tell me red, how were you able to hunt such a big prey?" Titan asked as he made his move to assist Red bring the prey over.

Don’t ask questions and eat your food! I’ve gone through hell to get it!" Red was so angry that a redder shade coated his small snake face.

You aren’t a snake." Titan said conclusively.

What the heck! Which part of me isn’t a snake?" Red bellowed his small body bouncing around hazardously.

You tell me." Titan said opening his mouth and swallowing his share of the prey. Though he really didn’t need to as he had already had a meal the previous night, the habit Sydney had instilled in him was hard to let go. He also didn’t want to let go! After all, this made him think of Sydney every single moment, unfortunately, he couldn’t cook right now!

Red frowned. Did this bug guy see through him? What had he done to give himself away?

Your prey wasn’t killed with posion, idiot! It was brute force, a single strike to the heart!" Titan said smacking his lips delightedly. The prey wasn’t bad!

You!!!" Red slithered away from Titan alert. While Titan could kill him and have no one call him to accounts, he wouldn’t dare bare such thoughts or it’d be treated as betrayal to the clan! How many years had it been since he last went back? He had even lost count!

Although Lord Marvin wasn’t much in his eyes and could definitely do something to the latter, it’d be inevitable for the news to spread out which would come with disastrous results for their while clan which was currently trying so hard to rise again against all odds. Though not many dared to triffle with them, it was not for long and if others learnt that they had even gone as far as leaving their territory, it’d call for immediate action from their rivals to act rascally and barge into their territory.

You really want us to be hunted down?’ Red almost yelled but he was already laughing embarrassedly. This was this lord’s territory and if he willed, theyd have to hunted and would I pay he safe once they were out of this jurisdiction!

Lord Marvin finally revealed an expression of dissatisfaction towards Titan. Yes, the snake was bigger than him and could pose a possible threat to him but that didn’t mean he was going to let his ego be crashed countless times infront of his own subordinates. He had already extended a great feat to come over personally to pick Titan up but the latter was being disrespectful and arrogant.
