Chapter 126: Two souls meet

Chapter 126: Two souls meet

Sydney stayed in her unconscious state. When she opened her eyes once again, she looked around and realised she was in a foreign place. She up in confusion and could feel the soft grass beneath herself. There was the sound of birds and the breeze was fresh, the ambiance was peaceful and inviting but the rate at which our heart was beating was erratic, like she was scared of something or someone.

She stood up from the ground and looked down at the extremely soft piece of clothing covering her body, it was beautifully crafted and a part of her skirt had a slit up to her mid thigh. The attire was sexy and she loved it!

From a distance, the sound of laughter and baby roars caught her attention and she jogged over to see.

From behind the tree, she peeped at the group of people that were laughing heartily but from where she stood, all she could see was their backs and there was a total of eight men, along with a little cubs running amok.

They ahd a celebratory aura around them.

One of the cubs was playing with the tail of the elder male but he wasn’t the least bothered about it. He let his tail wiggle about as the little one chased after it excitedly.

"Just look at how small she is!" One of the male’s exclaimed as he leaned forward to take a closer look at the small baby in the woman’s hands.

When he spoke, the cubs stopped playing and all ran over to take a closer look at their newly born sister. Their big eyes shone with excitement and one cub brought forth it’s paw to poke at his sister but a huge hand caught him. "Don’t! She’ll wake up!" He gently reprimanded stopping the other cubs who held similar intentions.

"Why are her eyes still closed?!" Another asked anxiously. He was filled with worry! It was already a week but the baby was still not looking! He had het his crystals sure that she also had green eyes like their mate! A pair of bewitching forest green eyes!

"Why are you being anxious for? Female cubs are born this way. And besides are you really worried about her not looking or are you more concerned about your crystals?! the other male rebuked.

" We all placed our bets! Why are you trying to play White lotus huh?!! Sydney...he bet the most crystals!" He let his female know not wanting to be the only one who got scolded.

Sydney laughed from behind the tree. Just like Ken!

"So it means even you were this small?" Another asked trying to diver the topic so that they wouldn’t get an earful.

Trying to avoid being scolded?" The female asked with a raised brow making all her males gulp.

"Stop flocking forward you are going to suffocate us!" The father of the baby girl scolded.

"Just because you got the better spot!" Another was tempted to slap the annoying brats bead.

"I’m the father! I’m bound the get the best spot to see both my child and my mate!" The male boasted making the others all cringe.

They’d beat him up later when she wasn’t looking.

Sydney softly smiled seeing the group and unknowingly, she walked forward attracting the attention of the males. They all looked over to her scaring the living day lights out her! She froze in her steps

"I thought I heard something.." one male was alert. His bushy ears perked up as she tried to find any threat.

Sydney was in her position with bartered breathes as she looked at some of the familiar faces. Ash? Shawn? Ray?!

And more so, when the beastmen turned to look her way, they exposed the female they had been surrounding but unlike them, the female’s eyes went wide with surprise upon seeing her. But her expression immediately adjusted when she saw her mate’s attention getting back to her.

I’ll go check out the vicinity and come back!" Ash said and stood up before transforming into his beast form and running to check out what the rustling sound was all about.

I’ll go and get an ariel view too!" Another beastman stood up and flew up into the skies.

Let’s get back inside." The father of the child helped the female up and took the baby from her hands. The outside felt a little unsettling and they had no other choice but to take her inside.

The female smiled and looked back at Sydney before she mouthed to her. "Come in."

Sydney hesitated for a while before she softly followed after the female and she entered the house in a daze. How was there someone who looked exactly like her, even the house itself, it was a complete blue print of her dream house, the only difference was this home was not in a city, it was secluded.

The group of cubs followed after their parents into the house happily.

The female immediately went up into her bedroom. "I’ll rest for a while." She shoosed away her mates who didn’t bother her and ran off to mess around. She helped the baby into her crib before she turned to look back at Sydney.

"We finally meet!" She smiled and sat herself onto the bed.

"Ahh..well...you are..are just like me!" Sydney stammered.

The female laughed at her reaction. Her laughter was like a cool breeze. "You don’t think we are the same?" The female asked.

"We look like eachother so...." We should be the same? Sydney thought out the latter part. She didn’t know how to feel!

"My name is Sydney. We are name mates." She smiled and signaled for her to come over and seat on the bed.

"This is a dream right?!" Sydney was puzzled but went over and sat herself down. She looked at the female and it felt like looking at herself in the mirror. The eyes, nose mouth, smile and every little detail was the exact copy.

"Not a dream, this is just a part of me that I left behind to find you if you ever come to this world." Sydney spoke

"A part of you left to find me? I don’t get you.." her brows creased in confusion.

Right...ots like a trigger. I left it in my baby girl. Once the two of you ever met, then you’d come here to find me so we could talk. But don’t worry...I’ll tell you all that you need to know.

Okay." Sydney agreed as she really needed to grasp what this situation was all about or she’d go nuts. She usually didn’t immediately loose herself when faced with such circumstances but if she didn’t get proper explanation, her mind would become hazy.

I’ll clear the situation so you don’t lose your mind " she said knowing exactly how Sydney reacted. "Firstly, although we share the same name and appearance, we are slightly different. You are a fragment of me, while there’s still a whole other you. You can consider me a parasite." The female laughed bitterly at how she had termed herself as. But that was the reality of who she is. "I was a little girl when I met two brothers, one who was of light but filled with darkness and the other who was of the dark but filled with light. I initially had no idea of what they were, I merely thought they were cute beast cubs. I was an only child at that time and longed for a friend or mate to stay by my side and when these two came, I grasped the chance like a starved kid. We bonded well and when it was time for them to return home, I followed them and crossed over to another world, their world.

I was still a child then and I had no idea what I had dragged myself into. I didn’t return home when I came to their world and grew up with the two brothers inside our small cave, happy and content but that joy didn’t last long enough as we grew. Emotions got in the way and I made a choice, I chose one of the brothers but couldn’t bring myself to love the other. Alot happened after that. The memories shall bring all what’s missing back." She couldn’t bring herself to say all that happened.

And though vague, Sydney got a clear picture of what happened. "I understand all that but what has that got to do with me? Like you said, you are only a fragment and there’s another whole me That’s not you." She didn’t want to get dragged into intense matters. She had already bitten off more than she could chew.

He female looked at Sydney upon hearing her words. Her words hurt but they were the truth. It generally had nothing to do with her but.... "I want you to save my children and my family. I have used up all the chances I had and this is the last one. If I fail to get things together then everything shall dispitate into nothingness. You are the last fragment of me left." Tears fell from her eyes as she looked over to the crib. "Save them from dying another time...I’m begging you. I can’t bare to see them die again, it’s too cruel fore to bare." She looked over to Sydney with a broken smile, tears falling feely from her eyes. Her gaze was unfathomable and held great pains.

Sydney also looked over to the crib and saw the red haired baby who was sleeping. "Is that Lilly?" She asked.

Mm... she is. A very smart girl if I’m to say!" Her eyes held a delicate smile.

I saw her in the city."

She must have come to find you."

Why?" Sydney asked confused.

I also have no idea. There’s alot of deviation from the past lives.

Deviations...like what?"

Like your extra three males. The home this time is in the city of beasts and of course the children coming to find you."

You mean Ash and the others are also from the past?" Sydney asked with wide eyes.

Mm.

Then who was the one who is of the dark but filled with light?"

Ash. That’s how he knows you like milk." The female smiled.

So you brought me here to tell me to save your children and this is the last chance available for you. I understand but what makes you think I’m capable of doing so? From what I saw, all your mates are capable enough to save you and the children so...why does it have to be me?"

Because I know you can. You are not the kind of person to sit down and watch your loved ones fall into harms way."

Sydney looked at the female in deep contemplation
