Chapter 92: Hiding secrets

Leaving Darcio at the entrance of the rose castle, both Victor and Demir entered the place hastily. Without wasting any more time they rushed towards the second floor through stone stairs.

Reaching Lyra’s room, Victor glanced at Lucas and started speaking "Lucas go with Demir and bring the ’sapphire of wish’"

Lucas raised his head and frowned at his words "What are you talking about bird?"

"Darcio informed that only the gem can save Lyra’s life now. Her fairy powers are unsealing and her being with a child now might put both in danger" Demir replied to Lucas.

Blake opened his closed eyes and turned towards Demir "Lilly is in danger?"

Victor nodded his head "That is why we need to bring the gem as soon as possible"

Blake darted his eyes at Lucas "Go and bring it soon"

Lucas got up from his place and left the room with Demir following him. Victor pursed his lips and looked at Blake "I thought you would be against this idea" he continued as Blake squinted his eyes in confusion "I know-how nervous you are about leaving the gem in Lyra’s hands"

Including himself, Victor knew that everyone was against the idea of handing the gem to Lyra. It was because they were scared of her possible change in mind to return to her old world. They wouldn’t vocalize this issue in front of her because they were scared of disappointing her. His sweet girl trusted them and expected all of them to trust her the same, but it was hard after witnessing her outburst during the confrontation with her father. If not for Killian blocking the gem, she would have returned to her old world. And Victor knew about the impact that day caused on all of them. Blake spent countless sleepless nights patrolling around Lyra’s room, Demir was searching for a way to completely close the portal by seeking Darcio’s help. Whereas Killian refused to leave her side when she was unconscious, and he bet that Killian that crazy fellow was also thinking about entirely closing the portal. Lucas and Noah were the mild ones in his opinion, but even they sought out their tribe’s witch masters. Not to forget, it was the same for him.

But now, all of them allowed the gem to get near Lyra. So he asked again "Tell me, why are you permitting it so easily?"

Blake turned away from Victor’s peering gaze and looked at Lyra’s sleeping face. She finally slept after suffering so much. He clenched his fists until his knuckles turned white, how could he get selfish when she was suffering so much? He didn’t care anymore even if she returned to her world, he only wanted her to get out of this agony. Still eyes on his beloved, he explained "As long as she is safe, I don’t mind her leaving this place. This beast world has only put her under threat from the moment she arrived" his voice turned cold as he continued "Fox king, Gregory and now this bizarre fairy power" he clenched his jaws "I think she will be safe if she returns"

Victor blinked his eyes in daze, was he hearing things? Did Blake just say that? "You are joking, right?" he couldn’t hold himself from asking this question.

Blake shook his head "I’m serious. As long as she is safe, I don’t mind getting hurt. I will try to go to that world with her if possible, if not I will kill all of Lilly’s threats and end my life here"

Noah who was being neglected between their banter looked at them annoyed "Will you both stop being so dramatic? Why are you so sure of her going back? Do you not trust her?"

"Oh is that why you were running around trying to find ways to dissuade the portal from gem?" Victor snickered

Noah rolled his eyes at his snide remark and remained silent. It was true, he indeed tried to do that.

Victor shook his head and sat on the other stone chair near the bed. His eyes mellowed looking at his beloved’s face. She looked so serene now after almost giving him a panic attack just a few minutes ago. He too didn’t mind her going back if she was happy and safe, but he was also greedy, he didn’t want to lose her and enter his alone life again. Coming from the vulture tribe, he knew more about Sapphire of wish than others.

He one time heard his father talking about someone from the vulture tribe crossing over to another world with his mate. The gem always protected the females coming from that world in the past, now knowing about its relationship with Lyra, he deduced that the gem was waiting for her. Recognizing one’s identity during confinement was hard to the Sapphire of wish, so it assumed all of them as Lyra, well this was the story for another time.

Now coming back, he knew about the portal created by gem. The other world’s females who decided to return could take only one person with them. Not many females survived after being targeted by other tribes for getting their hands on Sapphire of wish, but those who survived returned to their world. Almost all of them went back alone, but only one female didn’t want to go alone because of her beloved, and that beloved was a beastman from the vulture tribe. He vaguely remembered something about the last wish that female made, thus allowing that beastman an entry through the portal.

Victor came out of his thoughts and gazed at his sweet girl. No matter what, if a situation like that arrived in the future, he wanted that person to be himself. He didn’t reveal this truth to anyone else and kept it to himself, he was not someone like this, but this small creature brought out his selfishness and possessiveness. He wanted her for himself, but he restrained his emotions after understanding the situation. He didn’t care how, but if the chance arrived, he would be glad to kill his love rivals and go with Lyra to another world. Of course, he was also okay with staying with her here, but he preferred and liked the idea of having her to himself.

His train of thoughts broke when Lucas and Demir entered the room holding sapphire of wish with Darcio following behind them.

"How are you able to enter the castle?"Victor questioned in confusion.

Darcio smiled faintly and pointed towards the gem in Lucas’s hand "That helped me"

Seeing Victor still confused, he explained "The gem can discern that I’m here to help its master, so it allowed me to enter"

"Stop your chatter and do what you came here for!" Blake’s cold voice cut through their conversation.

Darcio nodded his head and strode towards Lyra. Putting his hand on her forehead, he closed his eyes. Soon, bright white light came out of his palm waking up Lyra.

Still, eyes closed, she started whimpering in pain. Blake clutched her hands and glared at Darcio "You are making it worse!"

Darcio blinked opened his eyes and turned to Lucas "Give me the sapphire of wish"

Lucas stepped forward and handed him a brilliant blue stone with a chain attached to it. Darcio held it in his hands and said "Lift her, I must put this on her neck"

Blake moved fast and pulled her gently towards him, allowing Darcio to put on the chain. As soon as the gem came into contact with Lyra, it started to glow into a dazzling blue shade.

Meanwhile, in the fox castle, Garrison opened his tiger eyes and shifted into his beastman form "This was rather fast. I thought that the gem would not meet its master until blood eclipse" his eerie voice with a hint of amusement echoed inside the calm room.

His mouth tilted up forming a smirk "Interesting"

Whereas in the Wayland forest, Prescott’s eyes turned into slits. He chuckled earning a look from Gregory "What are you laughing about?"

Prescott looked at Gregory and grinned "The gem met its master" his grin broadened as he continued "And we have some annoying presence inside our territory"
