Reaching their bonfire, they saw Blake and Lucas sitting in front of the blazing flame. Lucas who was grilling the meat lifted his head when he sensed their presence and smiled at Lyra.

She smiled back at him and reached the place sitting between Blake and Lucas "Did you guys complete your tribe’s issue?"

Lucas nodded his head, handing the grilled meat to her "I went to oversee the matters regarding the city’s safety, There was information about many stray beastmen lurking around the city in shadows, I don’t know what those bastards are planning now"

"Is it that bad?" Lyra asked worriedly

"They always do this when they plan on attacking the city, even in the past, they managed to break through our shield during a banquet" Noah was the one who answered her question.

Blake frowned hearing their words "Should I ask my men to keep an eye on the stray beast territory?"

Outside the City gates near the entrance of the forest, the fox king scoffed at Micahel "You can’t do that!?"

Michael frowned at his harsh words "I’m trying my best to find him! Do you even know how many of my men perished seeking his location?"

Jacob clicked his tongue in annoyance "We need to find him, Michael! Our plan won’t go further without his help"

"Why do we even need that monster?" Michael asked in confusion.

Jacob sighed tiredly "He is the only one who can track down the sapphire of wish. Now that Theodore is missing from his lair, it is obvious that he found his daughter"

Michael furrowed his brows "I have asked my men to find Theodore, but he is too good in erasing his tracks"

"He is an immortal beastman and that too from the eagle tribe, do you think it is that easy to track him down?"

"Then what should I do now?"

Jacob pursed his lips "Fous on finding Garrison first, Theodore can wait" then he smirked "I can’t wait to see Theodore facing all of his love rivals at once, every one of them hates his daughter for taking thier beloved’s life in exchange for living, but those fools don’t even know that my father killed Iria" as he continued talking, he clenched his jaw "That wench inflicted my brother to betray our tribe, my poor brother fell for her and died in my father’s hand, how can I just let her live?"

Michael flinched hearing the fox king’s sinister voice. The late prince Henrick was Jacob’s only elder brother, he was loved by all of the fox tribe and was chosen as the future king by Jacob’s late father. But all of that went into the drain when Henrick fell for Iria, he was supposed to imprison her and force her to wield the sapphire of wish but instead helped her in escaping from his father’s clutches. The late king who was enraged by this ripped Henrick’s heart, killing him.

Then young Michael still remembered Jacob’s wailing and desperation losing his only brother. Following that tragedy, he even lost his father in Theodore’s hand, well it was evident for him to do that after his mate’s death because of the fox tribe.

"I will bring my brother back to life, no matter what it takes," Jacob said bringing Michael out of his thoughts.

"I said that I will bring my brother back from dead by exchanging Theodore’s daughter life" Jacob repeated making Michael dumfounded.

Michael’s eyes widened in shock "Br-bring back from dead?"

Jacob calmly nodded his head "It is a favorable situation for me, I will get my brother back, and I will also avenge my father’s death by killing Theodore’s daughter"

Jacob frowned but didn’t say anything more and changed the topic "Make sure to find Garrison as soon as possible, he is the only one who can combat Theodore and also locate sapphire of wish"

Michael nodded his head "I understand that he can fight Theodore but how can he find the gem?"

"The tiger tribe is blessed with the capability of locating ancient treasures, some even claim that they can control it for some time. Of course, only Theodore’s daughter can wield it, but it doesn’t hurt for us to have someone who can control it on our side" Jacob explained seeing Michael’s confusion.

I even heard Lucas saying that he found that female in the forest! Ho-how can I not think about this? Such a beautiful female and getting abandoned?" he shook his head.

Michael observed the fox king and carefully asked his doubt "Does that female look familiar to you?"

Jacob widened his eyes and looked at Michael "Bl-blue eyes" he stuttered "Theodore has blue eyes, Iria that wench had blonde hair" his pupils shook as he realized the truth "Michael, we are done if she is Theodore’s daughter"

Michael smirked seeing the fox king’s crestfallen face. They would indeed be done for if it is the case. He knew about the former stary beast king’s madness towards that female, and it was not a secret that she had snake king and princes of lion and wolf tribe as her mates, and he recently even heard about the prince of scorpion tribe’s interest towards her. For the first time, he was rethinking his decision in helping the fox king.
