"Don’t even think about it" Blake dismissed Victor’s thoughts as soon as those words left his mouth "I will never allow Lilly to make that wish"

Victor frowned "Why? Doesn’t it also help us if Michael were to leave that fox’s side?"

"It is not happening" Blake replied resolutely ignoring Victor’s words.

Victor narrowed his eyes and thought about it. What Blake spoke of was true, Michael would never agree to erase his feelings for the fox king’s daughter, it is not only him but no males will accept it. Meanwhile, inside Lucas’s room, Lyra groggily opened her eyes and got up from the bed holding the animal skin bed sheet covering her naked body.

She looked at her side and saw Lucas still sleeping peacefully. Not wanting to disturb, she slowly got down from the bed and wore her clothes. Tucking Lucas with a bedsheet, she exited the room.

As soon as she came out, she saw Noah entering the living room "Where were you?"

Noah turned towards the voice "I went to oversee the matters regarding today’s bonfire"

"Bonfire for welcoming the snake clan?" She questioned

He strode towards her and clasped his hands around her waist, pulling her near him "Yeah, It is the first time for a cold-blooded beastmen to enter the city with approval after the entry of scorpion beastmen due to antidote, so we are accepting them and making an effort to show our sincerity through the bonfire"

Lyra nodded her head "Are the scorpion tribe peaceful in the city?"

"They will not dare create trouble with Demir as their prince, he is quite strict in that matter" Noah answered "Also, not all cold-blooded beastmen create trouble, it is only some of them, but it was enough for other tribes to shun them, nobody will tolerate their females being captured or harmed"

Lyra frowned "I’m glad that Blake is not so possessive"

She smiled and hugged him back "I don’t feel any discomfort, our babies are very thoughtful about not creating any problems for their mother"

"They better" he stated, "Or I will punish them after they come out"

Lyra hit his shoulder and glared at him "Why are you beastmen so tough on your own, kids? Even Blake always torments the little snakes with some kind of training"

"Male beastmen should go through difficulties in their younger age for them to lead a peaceful life in the future, you do know the law of the beast world, it is survival of the fittest" He responded

Lyra pouted "I know, but they are still babies"

He shook his head "You spoil them too much"

She sighed "Let that matter be for now" then she looked into his eyes "Did you already inform your parents about my pregnancy?"

He held her hands and tugged her towards the stone chair "I’m thinking about telling them at today’s banquet".

"I cannot wait to see the lion queen’s reaction, She always told me about how adorable you looked when you were a cub during my visit to the lion’s castle," she said giggling

Noah’s face heated up hearing her words "Mother can be such a blabbermouth sometimes"

Lyra smiled faintly "She is adorable like that, I love conversing with her and Lucas’s mother because of their cheerfulness"

"I’m glad that you like them, I thought that you were being forced in meeting them regularly" Noah informed as he chuckled.

Lyra raised her brows in surprise "Where did you even get that idea from? They are wonderful people, I like spending time with them"

Noah smiled "You are the first female who likes their mates’ mother, females tend to distance themselves from their mates’ families after forming a relationship. Usually, females are more attached to thier own, household"

"Oh" Lyra nodded her head, well it was another thing that she found about the beast world.

After conversing for some more time, Lyra left for her room to get ready for the evening’s banquet. She chose a dress made by the mermaid tribe’s fabric and matched it with a warm animal skin’s coat to escape the evening’s cool breeze. Getting ready she came out of her room and descended the stone stairs reaching the living room.

Blake and victor who stood in the living room looked up at her and smiled. She smiled back and reached them "Where are the others?"

"Lucas, Noah, and Demir went to take care of their tribe’s matters" Blake replied as he tucked a loose strand of her hair.

Lyra nodded her head "Then why are you both here? Don’t you have any tribe’s matter to handle?"

"I have an efficient subordinate who can handle those stuff" Victor was the one to reply.

Lyra smirked at him "Aren’t you just slacking off, pushing your duties to him?"

Victor wore a pitiful face "How can you say that my love? I just wanted to escort you today, Last time I didn’t even get a chance to hold your hands"

Blake frowned "Why are you always so dramatic?"

Victor glared at him "That is my choice you snake"

Before they could start bickering, Lyra held both of their hands and pulled them towards the exit "We are getting late for the bonfire"
