Chapter 189: Consoling

Lyra ignored Lucas’ call and continued to walk toward her room. She hurriedly climbed the stairs and soon reached her room.

Just when she was about to enter, she felt a pair of strong arms encircling her waist.

’’I’m sorry.....’’ She was ready to struggle out of his hold but stopped when she heard his earnest plea.

In fact, the only one who could stay calm during bad situations was her. They were a little impulsive when it came to their mate’s matters and Lucas admitted it. He also knew that she would never go back to her old world leaving them behind but in a corner of his heart, he was still scared about the possibility.

There were some things that even the most powerful can’t predict and handle. And the ’Sapphire of wish’ was something like that. They did not know much about it and the things that they knew were either informed by Darcio or someone else.

Lucas still remembered the day he first met his mate. She looked lost and confused. Like someone who saw the beast world for the first time. Like someone who did not belong here. She has spent all her life in a place they didn’t know about, so how could he believe she did not miss that world and the people that lived there?

He knew that she had her adoptive parents in that world. Even now, sometimes when she talked about that world, the first thing that she would remember was her parents. She missed them. Anyone would feel the same too but the mere thought of her missing that place unnerved them.

There were so many what if’s in their mind. What if she decided to leave this world? What if she falls in danger and the gem has no other choice than to send her back? What if she accidentally opens the portal and goes there?

Questions and doubts like these always filled their minds. It was stupid and they knew it but they couldn’t help themselves from feeling this.

Meanwhile, Lyra stood speechless hearing his words. She didn’t know whether to cry or laugh. Were all of her mates having the same thoughts? Why would she even leave this world in the first place? Yes, she did miss her parents back in her old world, and indeed wanted to see them but it was not enough for her to leave this world. She felt lost and confused when she discovered the truth about her birth. It felt as though, her life for the past eighteen years was a lie and mirage. And that momentary confusion turned into fear as her biological father stood in front of her and informed her about her mother’s sacrifice.

This was the reason why she accidentally summoned the gem that day and opened the portal to her old world. The fear of her entire life crumbling down made her do it although it was not intentional. She still regretted doing that and now the regret only grew when she realized the result of that. She didn’t even know that her mates were still thinking about that incident. Every nervous breath that Lucas took trying to calm his erratic mind made her heart clench. He was trying so hard to not let his real feelings out and that only made her feel even worse.

Putting herself into her mates’ situation, she too would feel nervous and scared all the time if there is a possibility of them leaving her. She knew that it is impossible but a mere thought of it felt enough for her to lose herself.

Lyra felt sorry for even making them go through this but for now, she decided to console Lucas. Turning back, she gazed at his brilliant blue eyes. Leaning forward, she kissed his forehead following his nose, and finally his luscious lips.

Lucas was caught off guard in the beginning but soon started to kiss her back. What started slow and mild turned heated and fierce in no time and Lyra felt her legs give up. If not for Lucas holding her still by her waist, then she would crumble to the ground being all hot and bothered.

After a long and passionate kiss, Lucas pulled away to let her take a breath, and just as she was calming down, he once again attacked her lips but this time instead of kissing, he bit on them while giving out a throaty growl, "I want you..."

Lyra stared up at him with lust filled gaze and made him almost lose himself. He combed back the baby hair from her forehead and kissed her. Such a stunning female was his mate. Her golden-colored hair rivaled the brightest sunrays and her ocean blue eyes felt like they were dragging him into dreamland. A land where an enchanting fairy like her lived where a mere mortal like him can only dream of going. It was almost true because his mate was indeed a fairy.

"I’m not going anywhere....’’ Her words had him raise his brows. He curiously looked at her as she continued, ’’I will never leave you and go back to my old world. So.....please stop worrying about that’’

Lucas felt his heart swell in happiness as soon as those words left her pretty lips. He never knew that only that reassurance from her was enough for him to feel so content. The stuffiness that always covered his heart faded away and the next thing he did was kiss his mate once again. His tongue entered her mouth and immediately meshed with hers.

Soon they found themselves going toward the bed and they fell on it with Lucas on top of Lyra. He helped her undress and in no time, both were lying on the bed naked and bare.

After her labor, this was the first time Lyra was getting intimate with her mate. All of her mates suppressed their desires to let her recover and Lucas did the same. But as soon as he saw her beautiful naked body, all of his withheld desires broke free and it made Lyra a little scared.

His smoldering eyes that gazed at her felt dangerous and feral. She felt like a small prey lying bare in front of a predator. Her breath hitched when he caught one of her bouncy breasts in his mouth. He ferociously sucked on them while his other hand traveled down to her secret place.
