Killian put Lyra on the ground as soon as they reached the rose garden.

Lyra breathed in the fresh fragrance of roses with a gentle smile on her face.

Killian’s heart palpitated as he continued watching his mate’s beautiful face. She was destined to be only his if not for the prophecy. It was really unfair.....why must he tolerate this?

Lyra turned to him and held his hand, "Let us take a stroll together"

He came out of his thoughts hearing her voice. He darted his eyes at their intertwined hands and whispered "My treasure...."

"Killian, What’s wrong with you..." she tried to touch his shoulder but he swatted her hand away.

His cold gaze glared at her making her flinch, "The one you truly love is only Blake right? How would you feel if I got rid of him? Will you abandon me if I killed him or will you forgive me? Who will you choose between your first love and rightful mate?"

Lyra closed her eyes trying to calm her erratic nerves, "Killian I don’t know what is going on, but please stop talking about these useless things and explain what your problem is"

Killian smirked, "It’s nothing complicated, I’m just saying that I will get rid of Blake and others in the future"

"Killian stop!" she exclaimed, "For god’s sake stop! Why are all of you behaving like this? I never begged any of you to stay with me, All of you knew everything about me before becoming my mate. What is my fault in all of this? Blake is my first love and yes I love him, I love him more than myself" Killian’s heart shattered into pieces as she continued, "But that does not mean that I don’t love you or my other mates, I’m trying my best to understand all of you, I’m also a person, Do you know how difficult all of this is for me? Why should only I be the one to understand you guys and not vice versa?"

Killian lowered his head, "Bu-but you are rightfully mine...."

"I’m not!" she said with conviction, "I’m not some lifeless doll that you guys can own. I’m an individual capable of feeling pain and sorrow, your attitude of treating me like an object that can be possessed is hurting me. More than loving, I will appreciate it if you respect me" Tears pooled in her eyes as she added, "Do you really love me? Or are all of you just trying to acquire me?"

"Please don’t say that...." Killian tried to reach her but she avoided his touch, "I-I’m sorry...I really did not mean it.....Ah!" he then clutched his head as piercing pain attacked him.

Lyra was startled by his outcry, "Killian?" she stepped toward him and held his shoulder, "Killian, What’s wrong?"

He looked at her with bloodshot eyes, "Do you hate me now?"

She frowned, "I will never hate you...Killian, what is happening to you?"

"Please don’t hate me, I’m sorry for behaving like this. I will not hurt Blake or any of your loved ones, so please don’t hate me" He pleaded making her even more baffled.

Lyra cupped his face and forced him to look at her, "Killian...Look at me, I already forgave you, I can never hate you, so get a grip of yourself"

"No, You hate me" he repeated not at all heeding her words, then something flashed in his mind, "Will you stop hating me if I kill myself?"

Her breath hitched hearing his words, "What?"

"That’s right," he said nodding at himself, "You will not hate me once I end my life"

"Killian?" she struggled to talk and right at that moment a blazing firebird came out of Killian, "Master Stop it!" Kenna said looking at his frenzied eyes, "You are not someone that can be controlled, Come to your sense master"

Lyra glanced at Kenna, "Controlled? Who is controlling him?"

"I don’t know" replied Kenna, "But I will make sure to burn them alive when I learn their identity. But for now, try talking to master, he listens only to you"

She nodded and turned to Killian, "I love you..."

Killian tilted his head, "You love me?"

"Hmm, I love you so much and I cannot go on living if you leave me" Killian’s eyes flickered as she added, "Please come back to me..."

He closed his eyes and furrowed his brows and Lyra leaned towards him and kissed his lips. Killian snapped open his eyes and his clouded eyes started getting clear.

Lyra pulled away from him and Killian staggered in his place, "Killian!" she instinctively supported his body by putting his arm over her shoulder.

Kenna narrowed its eyes and reentered Killian’s body. After that, Lyra walked him inside the castle and entered the nearest room. He looked too weak, so she laid him on the bed and tucked him to sleep. She touched his forehead and frowned at his body’s high temperature.

She went out of the room and returned with a bowl of water and a cloth. Then she wiped his face and put the folded damp cloth on his forehead. She kept on changing the damp cloths for hours, "Get well soon..."
