Chapter 128: Emotions going haywire

Kyrell was currently in deep slumber inside his cave on the eagle cliff when he sensed a burst of unusual power inside the beast city. As he resided inside the city, his powers were spread throughout a certain domain which in turn cautioned him about the unusual dark powers.

He got up and walked out of the cave and wrinkled his nose realizing that the unusual power repelled his light power. It was quite powerful and the complete opposite of his power, "Light and Darkness....." he muttered to himself and shifted to his beast form. He had to look for the source of the dark powers, so he soared into the sky and started flying in the dark power’s direction.

Soon he reached the snake tribe and frowned when he caught sight of one of Lyra’s mates kneeling on the ground. He darted his eyes in the opposite direction and saw a beastman with dark blue hair smirking at Blake.

Kyrell narrowed his eyes at the stranger who reeked of dark energy. Instinctively he released some of his light energy against the stranger’s dark powers which made Blake snap out of the illusion.

Kaizer furrowed his eyes when he saw Blake standing up from the ground. He sensed his powers going haywire and looked at the sky as Kyrell stared right back at him with his sharp eagle eyes.

He was about to say something but felt himself being encircled in a tight grip.

Blake was now wholly in his beast form. His green eyes glowed as he glared at Kaizer with a menacing gaze. He tightened his grip on Kaizer, brought him in front of him, and was ready to sink his venomous fangs inside his body but Kaizer’s hands turned to wolf claws.

He clutched Blake’s throat and smirked. Blake narrowed his eyes and once again tightened his grip against Kaizer’s waist which made him wince in pain.

"Uh!" Kaizer glared at Blake and shifted into his wolf form. Blake didn’t expect him to do that and was surprised, due to this momentary distraction, Kaizer freed himself from Blake’s grip and got on the ground.

As soon as he got down, he used his shadow creature to attack Kyrell in the sky.

Kyrell was not able to react on time, and he felt himself being surrounded by the shadow creature which reeked darkness. As a light power wielder, he was repulsed by darkness and tried to get out of it but the shadow creature started fighting against him.

Meanwhile, on the ground, Killian just reached the snake tribe and saw a black wolf taking a fighting stance against Blake. Then he looked up at the sky and saw two formidable powers fighting each other. Due to that violent beast pressure, the beastmen fighting on the battlefield were clutching their chest trying hard to breathe.

"This is bad..." Killain mumbled. Then he closed his eyes, "Kenna?"

A blazing firebird appeared in the thin air in front of Killain, "Yes master...."

Killian glanced at the sky, "Suppress them as much as you can...Be careful to not lose yourself while doing that" It would be problematic if even Kenna started fighting them instead of suppressing them.

"Trust me, master..." Kenna said reassuringly before flying towards Kyrell and the shadow creature.

As he saw Kenna going up the sky, Killian decided to go to Blake and the stranger.

Blake was trying hard to not lose control facing this annoying wolf. He also realized that the previous illusion was created by Kaizer and that made him even angrier. Losing his Lilly was one of his biggest fear and the images of her lying lifeless made him almost lose his mind. He was ready to attack but halted when he sensed a familiar presence behind him.

Killian stepped toward him and frowned, "Don’t...." he warned, "Your entire tribe together with the beast city will get destroyed if you start fighting now"

Blake sighed and shifted into his beast-man form.

Kaizer was surprised by this. He thought that Blake would attack him and was already in a fighting stance. Then he darted his eyes and saw another beastman behind the snake and frowned.

Killian also observed the black wolf and inferred that he was rootless. His earlier doubt about the stranger being the last one from the prophecy disappeared. Surely the gem wouldn’t choose someone who was rootless as its master’s mate right?

"I know that you don’t feel anything for your own tribesmen because of being rootless, but we are different," Killian said indifferently, "We have a mate and are currently residing inside the beast city. We must abide by the rules here, so don’t make more trouble and leave this place"

Kaizer felt his anger rise when he heard Killian’s words. It was always like this, everyone disdained him for being rootless. Was it his choice to have a stray beast as his father? What wrong did he commit in this matter to receive so much hatred? He clenched his fits, he could feel emotions too....maybe not so intense but he too felt bad when someone hated him without any reason, he too wanted to have a mate but knew that it was just wishful thinking. He glanced at the battle filed and noticed beastmen struggling to breathe.

He closed his eyes and retreated his shadow creature and beast pressure. Then without saying any word, he turned around and ran out of the snake tribe.

In the sky, Kyrell too retreated his power and beast pressure. Then stared at the blazing bird which was glaring at him.

Kenna squinted its eyes, "Why do you always cause trouble?"

Kyrell felt the hostility from the blazing bird but didn’t understand the reason for it. Even during their last meeting, this bird despised him and also attacked him.

The reason for Kenna to act like this was because it saw Kyrell as a threat to its master. Lyra kissed this bastard’s cheeks even when he kidnapped her, so what would be the situation if he became her mate? Wouldn’t Lyra neglect its master for this guy?

Kyrell wanted to ask the reason for this notch of hostility directed towards him but then dismissed the thought. He didn’t care about this blazing bird even a bit, his Lyra liked him and that is what mattered.

On the ground, Blake walked towards the black wolf tribe’s king who was lying after getting beaten by Peter, "The next time you scheme against me or my tribe will be the day you die" the king flinched as Blake continued, "Take your men and get out of my tribe"

Then he glanced at Tony, "Make sure to get the injured treated by a witch master...The battle is over now"

"Yes, your majesty..." Tony bowed politely and left to complete his task.

"Are you coming?" Killian asked Blake while opening the portal.

Blake glanced at Killian and nodded. Then he looked up at Kyrell, "Thanks for helping me out"

Kyrell just gave a quick nod and flew out of that place.

Killian and Blake returned to the rose castle through the portal.

Lyra was still waiting anxiously when she heard Blake’s voice, "Lilly?"

She turned towards the entrance and tears flowed from her eyes seeing him. She immediately ran towards him and threw herself hugging him. Her loud sobs resounded inside the castle making Blake remorseful, "I’m sorry for worrying you"

"I-i was so sacred...I thought that something had happend to you..." she said between her sobs, "How would I go on living without you...? You are my everything"

Blake tightened his hold and caressed her back, "I know...." He knew that much. She loved him not because of some mate bond or prophecy. His Lilly loved him for himself and he felt fortunate to have her in his life but he wanted her to stop talking any further. He felt multiple hostile gazes directed at them...more at him. Blake glanced at Killian beside him clenching his fists and Victor opposite him glaring at him. Noah and Lucas didn’t show their displeasure openly but they too were not too pleased by her words.

"Let us get inside," he said and dragged Lyra to his room. The little snakes too followed after them and entered their father’s room.

Killian got out of the castle with seething eyes. He was having trouble breathing, his heartfelt stuffy with indescribable pain. He fisted his chest a few times and took a deep breath.

"Damn it!" he cursed. It was his fault, he should have taken her away from here when he had a chance. She was his soulmate...they were born for each other, "Why?" he asked this again and again. Why must he go through this? He must do something. Then he turned back and stared at the castle, "He is your everything?" a dark smile adorned his lips, "You shouldn’t have said that treasure.....Now he will pay, No! I will make sure that he pays"

As Killian was clouded with his bitterness toward Blake, Victor was inside the living room staring at the ground. His eyes were turned to slits and he tried his best to not lose himself. A cynical chuckle left his mouth startling Noah and Lucas. They glanced at each other and retreated to their rooms.

"Sweet girl..." Victor said in a sickeningly sweet voice, "You broke my heart today.....I was still skeptical about getting rid of others around you but now I’m sure that I have to for you to love me fully" He glanced at Blake’s room and gritted his teeth, "You will be the first to lose your life snake"
