"Sir, we did the things you told us about. What should we do next?" The subordinate entered the room and saw his leader smoking a cigar while looking out the hotel window.

The man turned around, the long wound mark on his neck from the last time he got into a fight with Alpha Maverick scarring his skin.

It was a painful wound that aches occasionally, reminding him what kind of feud he had with Maverick.

"What about the attack? Have our people found out who was the man who helped that bitch escape the attacking zones? It was clearly not Maverick’s men," The leader took a whiff of his cigar, his brows knitted when his gaze fell on a she-wolf crossing the street.

"That girl, ask someone to bring her to me," The leader said.

The subordinate looked at the she-wolf, who looked like she had barely reached legal age. She was standing near the zebra cross with a set of books in her hands.

Seeing her perfect body ratio and excellent assets, the subordinate immediately knew what attracted his leader. He gulped.

"She is a pack wolf, sir," The subordinate said.

The leader raised his brows.

With his hand still holding the cigar, he smacked the subordinate hard across the face, making the man’s head whip to the side along with the burning of his skin.

The subordinate clenched his teeth to contain his hiss and humiliation.

The subordinate was about to ask if they were supposed to involve Maverick’s brother in this, but before he could utter a word, they heard a painful cry of a she-wolf, and the subordinate knew not to start a new topic that might ruin his leader’s mood.

He watched the girl being dragged into the room as the two guards held her forcefully while one of them gagged her mouth. The subordinate watched the girl flailing his legs, struggling to break free as tears spilled from her eyes.

"Who are these men?" The leader asked.

Zeus sighed and walked to the table. He was about to extend his hand to point at the mark visible on the neck of one of the men when the leader’s pupils dilated. He looked up at his man to confirm what he saw.

"Is this what I think it is?" the leader asked.

Zeus nodded.

"It’s indeed his men. We have confirmed," Zeus replied.

The leader raised his brows and shook his head.

How was that possible? As far as he had understood, the rogue head of the northern regions usually stays away from the pack controversies. What exactly brought him to the dark Callisto pack, and why was he targeting Valencia?

Wait. he wasn’t precisely targeting her if he saved her from the attack.

Could it be that he wants Valencia to himself? That could be the only reason.

If the deal doesn’t work, we won’t have to fight Maverick’s team ourselves," The leader said, pinching his bottom lip thoughtfully as he looked at all the photos Zeus gathered with the help of his men.

"This is enough evidence for Alpha Maverick to launch an attack on the northern region’s rogue head. Will he stay quiet? Of course not. When they’re busy fighting each other, we will readily take advantage of the situation," The leader said.

At the same time, in another Paradise hotel, the subordinates working under the right-hand man of the northern regions walked inside the room with multiple files in their hands.

"Sir, this is the file containing all the information the boss had requested. The rogues, who have a feud with Alpha Maverick, planned the attack on Miss Valencia. This isn’t the first time she was targeted, either. However- "The man paused.

"Alpha Maverick has figured things out," The man said.
