VALENCIA’S POV

I had to run away. I know that was my only choice. That was what I had been thinking for the past minute as this irritatingly handsome Lycan made his job to annoy me and not let me go.

I looked around, trying to find any weapon I could use against him.

However, left with no choice, I could only use the one and the best weapon I had.

’Are you thinking of doing what I am thinking you are thinking of doing?’ Aurora asked and I nodded my head.

That was my only hope now.

I stopped struggling in the Lycan’s hands, waiting for him to drop his guard as I hung there, doing nothing.

Asher? So that was his name? I wondered if it was his real name when his eyes met with mine.

He held me captive. It was almost as if he knew I was someone he knew, he kept looking at me while singing the lyrics.

Two men walked up to me and stopped me.

"Why don’t you join him?" They asked, and before I could deny it, the girls around me quickly ushered me forward, making me grit my teeth.

"Something in your eyes tell me you are a good singer," he asked and I glared at him, his smirk not settling well with me.

I took the mic from his hand, more like snatched the mic.

I placed the mic on the stand before taking the guitar from him.

This was something Ashton taught me, and I guessed this was the time to be grateful to him.

I stepped ahead before singing,

If yes, I wonder what a werewolf is doing on our lands without a permit. You know what kind of punishment it can lead to, right? Or are you something entirely different?" The Lycans asked me, his gaze telling me he was trying to say exactly what I feared.

"Is that so? Am I wrong here? How about you wait here and we can talk after this gig I am doing? Because I am quite certain about this locket and these eyes that you have-" he let the sentence hang and I knew he suspected me.

How was it possible? Didn’t Dylan say that this pendant was unique?

If this pendant was unique and the Lycans still knew about it, could it be that the thought that they would know the truth about me was true too?

I looked into his eyes, unsure of what to do anymore.
