Chapter 309: Let’s Play A Game

The dazed and confused look on Hattie’s face was so adorable that Salvatore couldn’t help but want to eat her up.

"It’s okay, Starshine," he murmured, gently nipping at the edge of her jaw. His right hand was firm around her neck, but it wasn’t tight. The grip seemed to cause her to relax more than it stressed her out, but he would keep an eye on her reactions.

"Don’t let me get lost in my head," she pleaded to him, her eyes wide. He still remembered the first time he had ever seen her. She had looked so helpless in Dimitri’s arms, her white eyes leaving her vulnerable in a harsh world.

She had pulled him to her at that moment before she even looked in his general direction or said a single word.

He had always assumed that he was A-sexual. The very idea of sleeping with a woman caused him to shiver in disgust. When the guys in the high school locker room were bragging about who had fuck who and where he wanted nothing to do it with.

To him, a woman was no different than a man, and he didn’t give anyone special treatment.

However, the second Hattie was carried into his life, it was like everything in the world finally made sense. The reason why he hadn’t been attracted to anyone was because they weren’t HER.

Salvatore might not have any experience with the opposite sex, but it didn’t mean he wasn’t completely incompetent. Then again, it helped to have a demon in his head.

"Oh, Starshine," Salvatore purred. "If I am doing my job right, there won’t be anything in your pretty little head to be lost in."

Removing his hand, he leaned back, pulling Hattie off the bed so he could weave his fingers into the back of her head. Without warning, he took her lips, not bothering to fight back the moan as he got a taste of her.

She tasted like salvation and sin all at the same time, and it was his new favorite flavor.

He would never have to eat again if he could just kiss her every day.

The second her lips parted to take in a breath, his tongue was between the soft pillows of her lips, claiming its new territory inside her mouth. The taste of apples only intensified the longer he continued to kiss her.

After what seemed like a lifetime, he felt her arms tentatively wrap around his back as her fingers flexed like a kitten. Letting out a soft moan of encouragement, Salvatore let Hattie explore his body at her own pace.

It didn’t matter to him how far they got tonight. After all, when you were looking at eternity, a single night didn’t mean much.

Slowly, his every cell protesting what he was doing, he pulled back and let her take her first full breath in a while. Her eyes were glazed over, and her cheeks were a beautiful red color.

"Let’s play a game," he murmured, going back to gently kissing her body as she mewed in protest as he created distance. "It’s very simple. Stop or go. You don’t like something that I am doing; you tell me to stop. You do, and you tell me to go. Think you can handle those two words?"

"For someone who promised to keep me out of my own head, you sure are talking a lot," smirked Hattie as she looked up at him.

"Message received, Starshine," chuckled Salvatore. His fingers trailed up and down her back, enjoying every shiver and moan he had rung out of her. Feeling the clasp of her bra, he quickly pinched it together before letting it fall between them.

Never having understood other men’s fascination for breasts, Salvatore started cursing. They were absolutely perfect, fitting into the palm of his hand as if they were created perfectly for him. Her nipple was hard, pressing into the middle of his palm as if encouraging him to keep going.

Hunching forward, Salvatore quickly opened his mouth and licked the very tip of her nipple. Holding back the satisfied moan coming from her, he alternated between kissing, nipping, and playing with first her left nipple and then her right.

"So perfect," he purred, his eyes so focused on what was in front of him that his brain didn’t even register the scars cutting into her skin like a road map. "Have to be fair," he continued, transferring his attention over to her other breast before going back and forth.

He took his time, storing away everything that her body was telling him. Where to lick, where she liked to be nipped. The sound she had made when his fingers brushed over her ribs made him want to recreate it again and again.

He would never get sick of her small sounds.

Kissing down between her breasts all the way to her belly button, Salvatore stopped just long enough to look up at her. "Stop or go, Starshine?" he asked. Getting comfortable, he was stretched out between her legs, his chest pressing against her pelvis as his arms supported his weight on either side of her hips.

"If you stop now, I will kill you," hissed Hattie, the rage pouring off her was only topped by the lust she was experiencing.

"Your wish," Salvatore whispered, wiggling down further. "Is my command." Keeping his movements slow and concentrated, he continued to kiss down until his mouth was hovering over top of her lips.

The scent of her down there was fucking with his head. The demon inside of him insisted that they had prepared her enough, that it was time to take her and prove to her that he was worthy of standing beside her, of being in her bed.

But the man refused.

’Fuck off and enjoy or keep it up and I’ll shove you so far down into your cage; you’ll be lucky to ever see daylight again,’ growled Salvatore inside his head. His entire body was shaking with need, but he refused to give in to it.

This moment was everything to him, and he wasn’t going to let anyone ruin it. Not even himself.
