Chapter 95: Chase 2

Chapter 95: Chase 2

The two cars slammed into each other, locked in a deadly dance of screeching metal as Tim fought to break away from the rogue pursuit. Tyson clung to the roof with all his strength. "Fuck!"

He needed one chance to stop the truck ahead. But three rogue vehicles flanked them tightly, boxing them in. Some of the rogues had already climbed onto their own car roofs, armored up, and ready to fire.

Plasma shots sparked across the highway as chaos erupted around them.

"Ahhh, hold on!" Tim yelled, swerving the car like a drifting serpent. His tires screeched against the pavement—and suddenly, the truck was within reach.

One of the rogues raised his blaster, aiming directly at Tyson.

Tyson’s eyes locked onto the truck, calculating the leap he had to make.

"This is it!" Tim roared. "Get the hell off my car!"

A blast sizzled past them—narrowly missing—as Tyson launched himself into the air. His meta-bot responded instantly, enveloping him in his sleek white armor mid-jump.

Tyson slammed into the side of the truck, his armored hand gripping the door’s edge with crushing force. Sparks flew as the driver swerved, trying to shake him off.

But Tyson held firm—his boots digging into the metal, his heart set on the girl inside.

The driver screamed in panic as he spotted the White Ranger dangling outside his door, gripping the metal sheet like it was made of paper.

"Stop the truck—or die!" Tyson growled, his voice cutting through the roar of the highway.

The driver fumbled with his phone in a panic, slamming his finger on the phone. He quickly donned his own metallic armor, preparing for a fight.

"Of course," Tyson muttered, cursing under his breath. he summoned his sword. In one swift motion, the blade sliced through the truck’s door, splitting it in two.

The armored driver tried to stab Tyson with his weapon, but he caught his arm mid-swing. With a powerful yank ripping the man from the cabin, he hurled him out of the moving truck on a cold night.

Tyson settled into the driver’s seat, seizing control, while the second rogue beside him lunged with a punch. Tyson blocked it with his forearm as the truck began to swerve violently.

They both tried to overpower each other in a confined space, as both men fought for control while the massive truck began swindling; amidst the chaos, the truck mowed one of the rogue cars.

Metal crunched. Tires screamed. The truck slammed into the bridge’s barricade, its front end jerking sideways—teetering on the edge, one wheel hanging above the cityscape. For a terrifying moment, the cab hung perilously at the edge—suspended as if it might tip right off the bridge.

"Shit," Tyson kicked the Rogue away and then quickly plunged his sword into the steering wheel, forcing it to topple sideways with all his strength.

Sparks erupted as the truck toppled sideways. Rogue vehicles swerved and soared into the air from the sheer force of the collision.

Chaos reigned on the elevated highway.

The two drones hovered silently above the wreckage, capturing every second of the unfolding chaos.

Tyson pushed through the crumpled metal, emerging from the truck’s torn side. Breathing heavily and panicked, he shouted, "Nancy?!" his voice laced with desperation. "Nancy!"

He sprinted to the back of the truck, eyes burning with urgency.

He had to get her out of the truck, but will she be all right? It was a hard crash; it might have hurt her. When he reached the back side, he saw the truck’s back door, locked with now twisted handles.

He gripped the small gap between the heavy metal door and, with his sheer force, tore them apart slightly.

For a moment he thought all he had to do was get her out just then. A sudden blast knocked him off his feet, hurling him backward across the road.

The Rogues emerged from the inside along with smoke and shadows- some limping, some coughing, others already morphing into their armored forms, weapons ready to fight.

Tyson got back to his feet, clutching his armor where the blast had hit him, repairing itself. He thought all the rogues were outside, but upon seeing more come from inside, he realized the danger they were in.

The number of Rogues seemed to be nearly ten, while the Rangers were only him and Tim, who still appeared to be fighting others.

Tyson’s face was dark with rage. "Stay the fuck away from her... or I swear, I’ll kill every last one of you."

He was angry; he doesn’t care anymore. No matter what, he will rescue Nancy, even if he has to die in the process.

One of the rogues froze mid-step. "Wait—isn’t that the White Dragon?" Drew muttered in disbelief, eyes narrowing. "What the hell is he doing here?"

The two rogues who had come with Justin looked at each other, knowing that if they gave this Elrian rogue a chance to think they would run away, it was better to drag them all into the fight.

One of them, at 34 Power Points, launched forward in a blur of motion, the sword gleaming, aimed straight at Tyson.

However, Tyson remained unfazed. He quickly raised his shield, deflecting the incoming attack with a loud clang, sending the strike off course. Sparks erupted.

Then, without wasting a second, he surged forward, eyes locked ahead. His priority is Nancy!

Edward and Barnes watched the chaos unfold with awe while Shaun’s eyes remained wide throughout the entire chase.

Tyson had jumped off the speeding car without a second thought for his own life. What if he’d failed to summon his armor mid-air? What if it had been even a second too late? Yet, somehow, he pulled it off—flawlessly.

Edward, however, was frozen—not by the action, but by what he saw. He’d always seen Tyson activating his armor by tapping his meta-bot, just like Edward did with his own ring. But this time... Tyson didn’t touch anything.

He just jumped, and the armor wrapped around him instantly.

"Reverse that footage," Edward ordered sharply, eyes glued to the screen. "From the moment he jumped off the car."

The AI rewound and played it back in slow motion. The moment Tyson leaped, his armor formed mid-air without any physical command.

Barnes leaned in, brow furrowed. "Did he just... activate his armor without even touching the meta-bot?" he asked, uncertain. "There must be some kind of glitch or—"

"No," Edward said quietly, still watching. "I noticed something like this before—his reaction time was unnaturally fast... but I ignored it, figured maybe he’d found a shortcut to call his armor."

He took a step closer to the screen, voice tightening.

"But this? This is not normal. His meta-bot isn’t just reacting—it’s evolving." Edward stated. "Just like Victor said"

"Evolution?" Barnes stuttured. "Is that even possible? Is he like that strange guy? what is his name? Block"

"Ryuk," Edward said, "his armor is black."

Barned cleared his thoughts. "Yes, yes, my mistake."

The office was tense until Edward’s piercing laugh suddenly echoed through the room, startling both Shaun and Barnes.

"That’s my son right there," Edward said, a proud glint in his eyes.

"General," Barns spoke up again, still shaken by what they’d witnessed, "now that Tyson’s managed to stop the truck, should we alert the gate units?"

Edward didn’t even blink. "No need. Block the highway from both ends," he smirked. "Let him handle it."

"But General, there are still too many rogues," Barns argued, the thought of Tyson’s evolving meta-bot still circling in his mind. "This isn’t the time to test him."

"Right, sir," Shaun chimed in, concern written across his face. "The Sergeant might need backup."

Edward turned to him, firm but focused. "Go to the helipad—and take Alex with you."

Shaun nodded and bolted out of the room without wasting another second.

The research lab was dead silent as the energy was being transmitted into the metallic container where Ryuk was going through the enhancement.

Mark’s eyes were wide as he stood beside Steve, who was operating the console to check on Ryuk’s readings.

At first, everything was going well; then, out of nowhere, Ryuk began shouting and sucking the energy from the Purple Power Stone at an incredible rate, to the point that they had to change in mid-experiments.

Everyone was glued to the container in the lab as screams echoed out.

"Whats going on?" Mark asked, "Is there something wrong with the machine?"

"No" Steve replied half panicked. "I guess, He is following same steps as that one guy"

"Who?" Mark asked,

"Tyson," Steve replied, finally looking up. He had heard the strange phenomena that even Victor never thought could occur in the enhancement process. Where the usual limit of five PowerPoint slides would be surpassed.

"Was not that error?" Mark said. "It has to be...the theory suggested only five are maximum. Then why are they managing to surpass those limits?"

"It was a theory indeed," Steve said. "And theories can be modified; after that, their norms will change. Ryuk will set new heights."

A silence fell as Ryuk stepped out, surrounded by purple energy. "Eight Power points"
