Back To The 90s: The Resilient Daughter-In-Law -
Chapter 942 - Chapter 942 Chapter 941 The Later Move
Chapter 942: Chapter 941: The Later Move Chapter 942: Chapter 941: The Later Move Although Yan Lirong hid her disdain very well, Jing Tong still noticed it.
As light as her steps were, just as intense was the hatred in her heart. Just a dog, and yet it dared to look down on her; just wait until she became the mistress of the Fu Family, then she would make her pay.
“Miss Yan, it’s getting late, you should go back and rest early.”
“Yes, Boss.”
Yan Lirong stood up, picked up her briefcase, and left.
Jing Tong walked up to Fu Yiming, her body softened, and she threw herself into his arms, coquettishly weak. “Yiming, who was that just now? Please don’t tell me she’s an old flame of yours! I would be jealous.”
“She’s an employee at my company, and also a capable subordinate.”
Jing Tong, clad in a silk nightgown, fell back revealing most of her pale, tender chest.
Fu Yiming hadn’t originally harbored such thoughts, but her seduction had also aroused him. He flipped her over onto the couch in one swift motion, and Jing Tong grew even bolder in her cries, her hands eagerly reaching inside Fu Yiming’s clothes.
The two quickly entangled.
The maid, still wiping the furniture in the living room, flashed a look of disgust and turned to head to her quarters, muttering to herself that having such a shameless woman in the house meant it was better if the young miss didn’t come back.
It would just dirty her eyes.

Yan Lirong, wearing high-heeled shoes, walked out of the villa’s gate and while waiting for a car at the street corner, a black sedan quietly stopped in front of her. The passenger door was pushed open, directly facing Yan Lirong.
Yan Lirong was startled and bolted, but a man’s deep, magnetic voice timely resonated from the back seat of the car.
“May I ask if you are Ms. Yan Lirong?”
“Who…who are you?” Yan Lirong clutched her briefcase, attempting to flee, but her feet felt as if they were nailed to the ground beneath the man’s voice, unable to move.
The man in the back seat chuckled lightly, his voice low and pleasing, which seemed to relax Yan Lirong’s vigilance somewhat.
“Let me introduce myself first, I am Huo Beijiang.”
“Major General Huo?” Yan Lirong blurted out. She instinctively took a step back. She had seen everything that had happened to Fu Yiming that evening! Fu Yiming had always been a powerful figure in her eyes.
But she hadn’t expected that the young Huo Beijiang, with just a single sentence, could cause Fu Yiming such frustration.
“Yes, that’s me. Ms. Yan, please get in the car!”
No matter how frightened Yan Lirong was inside, she knew she had no right to refuse and reluctantly got into the passenger seat. As soon as the car door shut, the oppressive atmosphere inside made it hard for her to breathe, her complexion turning pale.
She even started to breathe more carefully.
There were three men in the car, but sitting in the passenger seat, she dared not turn around to look. She could only vaguely confirm there were two men in the back seat, one of them being the Major General Huo who had just spoken. The driver, a cold, icy man, had started the car and moved forward without so much as blinking when she entered.
“Ms. Yan, where do you live? We can drop you off on the way.”
“No need, no need for the trouble.”
“It’s on the way.” Huo Beijiang’s tone was very calm, but it hinted at impatience and an authority that brooked no refusal.
Yan Lirong thought that if he could deal with Fu Yiming so mercilessly, she was nothing but a small shrimp to them. No amount of precaution would help, and besides, she had never offended him.
Since Huo Beijiang personally came to her door, it meant she still had some utility to him.
Having a use was good; it meant she wouldn’t be in any danger.
