Chapter 723 - Chapter 723 Chapter 722 Confrontation_1
Chapter 723: Chapter 722: Confrontation_1 Chapter 723: Chapter 722: Confrontation_1 He Shasha discreetly clenched her fist, and from the corner of her eye she spotted a suspicious figure sneaking around the doorway. Overcome by curiosity, she quickly walked over and slapped the person on the shoulder.
“What are you doing?”
“Buzz off!” The person didn’t even bother to turn around, just huffily retorted.
He Shasha’s temper immediately flared. From childhood till now, no one had ever dismissed her in such a way, let alone a complete stranger.
She reached out to grab the person’s neck, a move perfected from her early days fighting in school–it was incredibly efficient.
But no sooner did she try to grab the person’s neck than she found herself being flipped around, her world spinning before she was thrown to the ground.
Her back hit the ground painfully enough to stifle a tear.
“Huh?” The man who had attacked her was surprised to realize his opponent was a woman. His handsome, devilish, yet crafty face momentarily went blank.
It must be said, the look of surprise didn’t suit him at all.
Having suffered such a loss, He Shasha wasn’t about to let it slide-she didn’t care who this guy was, her primary goal was to get back at him. Even though she was still on the ground, her long leg rose with the aim to strike below the belt.
The man, not anticipating such a ruthless move, simply pinned her down with his body.
With her body immobilized, He Shasha finally calmed down.
The two of them were close, looking into each other’s eyes. He Shasha saw his wicked gaze and a mouth that, though puckered, seemed to be mocking her.
“Gallop–” She swallowed hard, recognizing him at last.
This was the man from school who had been looking for Nan Fei.
Hearing He Shasha swallow her saliva, Huo Kewei instantly jumped up as if he was scorched, instinctively keeping a distance of one meter from her.
“Bad luck!” Huo Kewei brushed off his hands, disgustedly ready to leave.
Upon hearing this, He Shasha got annoyed. Though she appreciated his looks and found him attractive, being insulted by him was a different story.
“You stay right there.” She quickly stepped forward, blocking his way, her bright eyes scanning Huo Kewei with discerning interest.
“Ha!” Huo Kewei sneered dismissively, inwardly suspecting that despite her good looks, this nuisance of a girl might have something off with her brain.
“Move.” He intoned threateningly.
“What if I don’t want to?” He Shasha retorted: “You hit me and now you’re insulting me?”
“When did I hit you? When did I insult you?”
“Just now!” Replied He Shasha, turning her back to him. Her back was covered in dust from falling. Lifting her shirt, she revealed her slender waist, fair skin, and a large, reddened patch.
All, results of the fall just now.
Huo Kewei was rendered speechless. Here he was, the notorious playboy among prodigal sons, Young Master Huo, yet he couldn’t help but blush at the sight of her. He pointed a trembling finger at He Shasha and finally managed to speak.
“You… you’ve got some nerve, don’t you?” He disdainfully said: “What era do we live in? You think just by letting me look at you that I’d want to marry you? Dream on.”
He Shasha appeared nonplussed, wondering if this man, who looked clever but wicked, might be mentally challenged.
If that was the case, there was no way she could be interested in him.
“What the hell? You think I’m looking for marriage just by letting you look at me?” He Shasha finally realized she’d been insulted and angrily said: “Stop flattering yourself! If that were the case, then I’d end up marrying a few thousand men!”
