Chapter 475: Chapter 475: Concealment (Request for Monthly Tickets) _1 Chapter 475: Chapter 475: Concealment (Request for Monthly Tickets) _1 The door closed, with his hands tucked into his pockets, Huo Beijiang stared at the firmly shut door, his expression inscrutable. The entire corridor was engulfed in an oppressive atmosphere caused by the low air pressure surrounding him.
Chen Qi stood silently in place, not daring to speak.
Zhang Fengmei couldn’t understand what was going on! Her daughter was just fine a moment ago, and then suddenly she was back in the examination room again. Didn’t the doctor say there was nothing wrong?
But the doctor’s expression just now definitely didn’t mean there was nothing wrong.
“Huo Beijiang,” Zhang Fengmei had no choice but to set aside her aversion towards Huo Beijiang, and asked, “What happened? Can you tell me?”
“Auntie, I don’t know yet!” Huo Beijiang turned back and replied politely, “Don’t worry! Nanfei will definitely be ok. This is the best hospital in the country.”
“Don’t lie to me!”
“No! Seriously.”
Zhang Fengmei was skeptical, but she knew that Huo Beijiang was a determined person; if he didn’t want to say it, nobody could extract the information from him. In the end, she had no choice but to anxiously wait outside.
The equipment in the examination room was the best available in the country! All the tests came back with good results. But Doctor Lu Xiang, with his professional medical knowledge and rich experience, felt there was definitely a problem when he examined Nanfei’s retinas.
As expected—-
As soon as he got the brain scan results, he felt a chill run down his spine. Intuitively, he could sense Huo Beijiang’s bayonet pressing at the back of his head.
“Doctor Lu Xiang”, Nanfei maintained her consciousness throughout and calmly asked, “Was it caused by a concussion? You can tell me directly.”
“It’s nothing serious! Don’t worry, the dreams you’re having might be an after-effect of concussion. After a few days of rest, it should get better.” Lu Xiang said with a smile.
Nanfei didn’t pay him much mind and directly asked, “Let me see the X-ray.”
“You don’t need to! You need to rest more.”
“Doctor Lu Xiang, you need to decide whether to show the X-ray to me or to Huo Beijiang. Firstly, I have the right to know, and secondly, if you show it to Huo Beijiang, I don’t know if you can bear the consequences.”
Lu Xiang shuddered; he initially thought that Nanfei was just an ordinary, innocent high school student. He didn’t expect to be wrong again; the wife of The Great Devil couldn’t possibly be ordinary, could she?
Even now, her imposing manner wasn’t something just anyone could have.
The others in the examination room looked at Doctor Lu Xiang with sympathy.
“You don’t need to see it, I’ll tell you straight,” Lu Xiang gave up struggling. “According to the X-ray, there’s a small shadow in your brain, probably caused by your fall from the upstairs. I need to run further tests to confirm, and then it depends on your recovery condition.”
“Really?”
“Really! I dare not deceive you,” Lu Xiang replied, feeling incredibly defeated; how could everybody be so cunning? “Don’t worry! Trust me, it’s not a big deal. I’ve encountered this situation many times before; some intravenous drips for a while should eliminate it.”
Nanfei heaved a sigh of relief, “That’s good!”
“Oh yes!” She suddenly remembered Huo Beijiang in her dreams, and cautioned, “Let’s not tell Huo Beijiang and my family about this.”
“This… I’m not sure that’s a good idea.”
“Didn’t you say it was not a big problem? And it can be eliminated afterward?” Nanfei pressed, “Or were you lying to me earlier?”
“Of course not!”
“Well then! If it’s not a big problem, there’s no need to say anything.”
“Well…” Lu Xiang was still hesitant.
“Doctor Lu Xiang, you can certainly decide after subsequent treatment.” Nanfei conceded a little. She wasn’t calm inside either, but she didn’t want to see Huo Beijiang in pain.
Hopefully, this was just temporary. She hoped that successive treatments could eliminate the shadow in her brain.
In the end, Lu Xiang relented.
“Alright then!”
