The sisters came out together, helping Zhang Fengmei set the meal on the table, and each serving their rice according to their preference. Dinner usually consists of porridge or buns.

Tonight, Zhang Fengmei, having time, made a rare green vegetable noodle soup, which made Nan Fei’s mouth water.

“Mom, you actually made noodle soup, I haven’t had it for many years.”

Zhang Fengmei patted Nan Fei affectionately, “How old are you? I just made it not long ago, you make it sound like I’m lazy.”

Nan Fei hugged Zhang Fengmei’s arm and acted spoiled, “Mom! Can you make it every day?” For them, it’s just something from the recent past, but for her, it’s been two lifetimes ago.

Mom’s noodle soup, grandma’s handmade noodles, have been deeply engraved in her heart.

“He went to uncle’s house with grandpa and grandma. Apparently, the police are looking for your older cousin. Your granny is worried, so they went to see the situation.”

Nan Fei paused before replying, “Alright.”

As they left the house, they ran into Qi Qin who was passing by. Recently, Nan Fei has been busy studying and Qi Qin has been busy working at the clothing factory, so they had not seen each other much.

It’s so nice to meet today.

“Nan Fei, Zhuanzhuan.” Qi Qin approached quickly, dragging her little brother along.

“Are you going to see the spectacle too? I saw the whole village go, I didn’t want to, but my brother insisted, so I had no choice but to take him along to watch.”

“No! I’m going to get Jiang Yang back.” She’s not interested in the spectacle.

“That’s perfect! Let’s go together!”

“Okay!”

Zhuanzhuan was busy greeting Qi Qin’s little brother, even pulled out a few fruit candies from her pocket and put them in the little guy’s hand, which made him smile. The last incident had disadvantaged the little guy and the entire family was making a fuss over him.
