“This incident mainly erupted because of me, as Wu Shanshan discovered that my monthly exam ranking fell to two hundred and eighth. Hence, everyone in the class started accusing me of plagiarising He Jinlan’s work.”

Somebody in the class whispered under their breath.

Nan Fei turned her head towards this person with a polite smile and in a calm demeanor said, “That’s Huo Jinlan, the adopted daughter of our principal. She has now returned to her birth parents and has taken her father’s surname.”

Huo Linong felt exposed when his private matters were suddenly brought up. He coughed awkwardly, but didn’t interrupt.

Since this happened, there was no hiding it.

Moreover, he never mistreated Jinlan a single day during her adoption. His conscience was clear.

So, he had nothing to hide.

“So, she was adopted.”
