Chapter 302: Chapter 302 Eat More_1 Chapter 302: Chapter 302 Eat More_1 “From now on, you’re not allowed to hug my brother-in-law.” A certain individual, with a dark expression on his face, pulled his spouse to his side and placed the little brother-in-law on the other.

Believing that it wasn’t enough just to do that, he warned seriously, “Not just my brother-in-law; I won’t accept anyone else either.”

If it wasn’t for the fact that he had saved both hers and her brother’s life, Nan Fei would have slapped him without hesitation.

This rascal, can’t he be a bit more serious?

“Why are you here?” she asked him curtly.

Huo Beijiang was on his way to find her. He didn’t expect to encounter her while passing by the marketplace. That would have been fine, but then he saw his own spouse hugging another man and he was immediately set ablaze with jealousy.

“It’s a coincidence.” Of course, he wouldn’t admit that he had intentionally come to find her.

“That much of a coincidence?” Nan Fei queried skeptically. She wanted to take advantage of his distraction to pull Jiang Yang to her side, but her limited reflexes were no match for Huo Beijiang.

Her attempt was pre-empted before she even began moving, effortlessly nipped in the bud.

Huo Beijiang grabbed her hand, enclosing it in his own large palm. His face maintained a solemn and reserved expression.

“What are you doing?” Seeing all the people on the busy street, Nan Fei couldn’t help her graceful face turning red.

“Have you eaten yet?” Huo Beijiang changed the subject, one hand holding Nan Fei while he bent down to look at Jiang Yang. “Hey! Little brother-in-law, did you eat?”

Jiang Yang, who was being isolated by a certain someone, blinked his eyes that looked so much like his sister’s. He stared blankly at Huo Beijiang, and at hearing his question, shook his head slowly then nodded.

“What do you mean by that?”

“He’s saying you’re stupid,” replied Nan Fei. As soon as she said it, she noticed that the handsome face of the man opposite her had turned green. She felt his thick, warm palm.

Suddenly, Huo Beijiang’s fingertip lightly scratched the surface of her palm, causing a suave current to rush through her, forcing her cheeks to blush.

“Come, I’ll take you to eat. One glance at my brother-in-law and I can tell he’s undernourished.” Huo Beijiang led the two assertively towards a breakfast shop.

It was the same shop he had visited with Nan Fei previously. He knew the shop well, and the breakfast-selling uncle, seeing him, greeted him with a broad smile, claiming that the meal was on the house.

As Huo Beijiang nodded in acknowledgment to the breakfast-selling uncle, he asked Nan Fei what she wanted to eat.

“We actually ate at home before coming to town.” Trying to save face, Nan Fei said, “I’m not hungry at all.”

“I’ve also had breakfast.” Huo Beijiang served a bowl of wontons in front of Jiang Yang, taking care of him like a child.

“You eat some too, put on a bit of weight.” If he gets plumper, he won’t be so cute, and then his spouse will attract less attention.

Nan Fei found Huo Beijiang’s words a bit strange, but looking at his expression, she couldn’t deduce anything and in the end, had to give up.

Jiang Yang had no reaction, staring at Huo Beijiang then obediently started eating the wontons with a spoon while curiously watching the hustle and bustle of the street.

“Have you really eaten?” Huo Beijiang asked, not convinced.

“Really, I’m not lying to you.” Afraid that he would force her to eat, Nan Fei kept nodding her head.

A trace of a smile finally emerged in his eyes.

Seated face-to-face with Nan Fei, Huo Beijiang towered over her with his height and chiseled physique. Even though they sat on stools of the same height, he looked much taller. When he leaned over, his shadow engulfed her frail and delicate figure.

Nan Fei was startled by his sudden movement. As she tried to evade, Huo Beijiang held her nape and before she knew it, she felt a warm sensation on her lips.

It was a swift peck, so fast that it left her wondering if it was a figment of her imagination.
