Luh Kai withdrew his hand, smiling at Cheng Su, "So, does that mean that once the ceremony is over, renovations begin?"

"That’s the plan. If we can finish the renovations sooner, we can open for business earlier. After all, every day the shop stays empty is a day wasted," Cheng Su said with a smile.

"Let me know when you open," said Luh Kai, "I’ll send a floral basket for the occasion!"

"I’ll be looking forward to it!" Cheng Su was very happy.

Luh Kai glanced at the time and said, "Well, that’s it for now. I have another appointment. See you when I’m free!"

"Sure, goodbye!"

Luh Kai nodded to Taiguo and then rode off on his bicycle.

Watching Luh Kai leave, Taiguo noticed the smile at the corner of Cheng Su’s mouth and asked, "When did you get to know such a person? How come I didn’t know? You two seem to be quite familiar with each other!"

He had never heard her mention this person before. Had she met him during the time he was on a mission? They didn’t seem like they had just met; they were quite familiar with each other.

"I met him when your mother came to visit. When I bought your watch, it was he who found me the watch coupon. After that, we met by chance a few times. We got along well, and that’s how we became familiar," Cheng Su shrugged and said. "He helped me make the connection for this shop too. It belonged to his uncle, who used to be a landlord!"
