Early in the morning, Cheng Su got up to make breakfast, thinking about where to take Mother-in-law and the others today. Honestly, after just three days, she was already feeling a bit tired.

Mother-in-law and the others were also up early, strolling around downstairs by the time it was for breakfast, Qi Fenglian brought up the notice Cheng Su had posted about the lost clothes.

"You can lose clothes here?"

As Cheng Su served them porridge, she said, "It’s not lost, probably someone deliberately took it."

Cheng Su laughed, "The world is so big, there’s every type of person, nothing surprising. Eat up. So, where do you want to go today?"

Qi Fenglian then said, "You’re so busy, we won’t go out. We’ll just rest at home, and you don’t need to worry about us. We can take care of meals and cleaning; you just go to work, that’s all!"

Cheng Su was taken aback, "How can that be? You are new to this place and don’t know your way around."

"No worries, we won’t go far. Just here nearby, you can rest assured!" Qi Fenglian said with a smile, "Your work is more important."

Cheng Su then looked toward Mother Qi, for what Elder Sister said didn’t count, only Mother Qi’s words mattered.

Mother Qi said indifferently, "I don’t have much physical strength for walking, I can’t walk much, I’ll stay at home."

This meant they wouldn’t be going out!

Cheng Su then said, "So, I should go to work then?"

Seeing Qi Fenglian and the others nod their heads, Cheng Su also felt quite relieved in her heart. She was worried about her business affairs, especially the factory, which had just started not long ago, and without someone in charge to look after it, she felt uneasy.

Besides, who would want to spend every day with their mother-in-law and elder sister-in-law, having to watch the mother-in-law’s mood all the time?

Cheng Su left for work joyfully. As soon as she was out the door, Mother Qi’s face grew long, and she said to her daughter, "Look at her smile, it’s almost reaching her ears, probably wishing we’d leave sooner!"

"Mom, she’s just concerned about her business, it’s a good thing!" said Qi Fenglian as she played with her son.

Mother Qi snorted and asked, "Have you talked to her about coming to work yet?"

Qi Fenglian shook her head.

"Why not talk yet?" Mother Qi said anxiously, "Is it that you find it hard to talk, or what? If not, tell Taiguo to arrange it."

"Mom, please don’t. I’m not in a hurry. Look, Xiao Bao is still little, he still needs nursing. How could I leave him?" Qi Fenglian quickly stopped her, saying, "As for his father, I’ll ask his opinion when I get back."

Mother Qi frowned, "What’s there to ask? Does he really want to just stay home and take care of those two acres of land? What’s so great about that?"

Qi Fenglian said, "But I can’t decide for him!"

Mother Qi, feeling deflated, said sourly, "If you were as capable as Cheng Su, to firmly hold Taiguo in your hands, then you could really make decisions for him!"

"Taiguo, he really spoils her, hmph!" Mother Qi neither admitted nor denied, just feeling bitter. With her eldest son having a wife and forgetting his mother, she just didn’t feel comfortable.

Qi Fenglian shook her head and didn’t bother to argue. When her own mother got stubborn, no one could persuade her otherwise. She simply took Xiao Bao into her arms and said, "Mom, you watch Baobao, I’ll do some cleaning." She didn’t care whether her mother was still grumbling.

Since they had come and received so many benefits from their hosts, it wouldn’t be right to just take without pitching in.
