Chapter 59 - 59: Papa It's Tasty

Ning Wei glanced at Jiao with a face full of confusion and tilted her head.

"What do you want to say, Jiao, should I gain more weight or something?"

She then looked all over herself whether she was losing some weight.

"Huh, it seems fine to me though!"

"Ughh Sister Wei, I am not talking about that, look at me do I look somewhat different from yesterday to you?"

Ning Wei studied Jiao's face carefully and after a moment her eyes turned wide, she was astonished as Ning Wei compared Jiao to how she looked yesterday.

"Huh, you look younger than yesterday and your skin also seemed to have turned a bit smoother now that I see it."

Ning Wei was baffled as she found the differences.

"Sister Wei do you know I ate the food that Ye Qian made yesterday, and he used some magic to cook as well."

Jiao emphasized as she glanced at the kitchen and recounted the fireball she saw yesterday.

Ning Wei's eyes widened in disbelief.

"You want to say that the food he makes will make us look younger and more vibrant."

Ning Wei almost choked as she continued.

They would run and even will be ready to do anything if they were assured that they would be able to look younger and keep their beauty for a long time.

It had been only a few minutes till Ye Qian had walked in with the pot of soup.

The little girls were talking to each other and giggled at intervals as they sat beside Yuan Meng.

The three were keeping the cold dumplings on the plate while leaving some space.

Ye Qian was sitting at the corner this time handling a steamer as he placed the bamboo steamer in the electric one after taking the plates given to him by Yuan Meng.

He carefully placed the plates in it and started the machine.

They had a lot of dumplings and only about 20 percent were placed in the steamer now.

As to why, simply because they could eat them while they were hot.

It had been only a minute when Ye Qian had started the steamer when Ning Wei and Jiao walked in.

He smiled at them and turned his attention back to the steamer.

Ning Wei nodded and took her seat beside Yuan Meng, Jiao also did the same.

The three ladies started to talk again as they helped to place the plates and glasses and spoons.

After about 5 minutes Ye Qian removed the lid of the steamer and carefully removed the bamboo steamer from it and placed it in between the table.

Steam came out of it like a fog.

Soon Yuan Meng helped to serve the dumpling to everyone and placed the sauce in the bowls.

After the steamer was empty they filled it again and closed it for the second wave of dumplings.

Ye Qian walked to the little girls and sat in between them.

Little Qiqi and Little Jia giggled as they saw him sitting in between them.

Ning Wei had thought that he would sit beside Yuan Meng but he didn't.

As soon as Ye Qian sat on the chair Little Qiqi poked him.

"Papa, feed Qiqi."

She said as she opened her mouth.

Indeed, that was why he sat with them.

Ye Qian smiled at her and picked a dumpling as blew it softly and brought it near her mouth.

Little Qiqi opened her mouth wide and tasted it as her eyes brightened as she grinned.

Meanwhile, Little Jia who was sitting on his left felt sad, picked up the dumpling on her plate and dipped it in the sauce.

She was about to put take it out when a dumpling came near her lips.

She looked to her right.

Ye Qian was smiling at her as he held the dumpling in his hand and pointed at the dumpling with his eyes.

Little Jia opened her mouth while her lips started to shake.

Ye Qian patted her head with his left hand and smiled.

"Come eat it and tell me how is it."

Tears welled in the little girls eyes as she bit a small bite of the dumpling and chewed it a few times.

"It is tasty, Papa."

Little Jia couldn't hold back and hugged Ye Qian as she chewed the dumpling.

"Ohh my, Jia, are you now going to cry again?"

Ye Qian said as he placed the dumpling on the plate and rubbed her back.

"Sniff... sniff."

"No, Jia won't cry."

"Sniff sniff."

Little Jia left his embrace and sat straight on her chair and opened her mouth.

Ye Qian smiled and rubbed her tears off and took the dumpling and dipped it in the sauce again and brought it to Little Jia.

This time Little Jia ate the whole dumpling and smiled at him as she chewed on it.

Ye Qian patted her head and took another dumpling and brought it to Little Qiqi.

"Butterfly, Papa will feed you and Jia alternately."

"Ok, Papa."

Little Qiqi smiled and opened her mouth and gobbled up the whole dumpling once again.

"Hmm."

Little Jia also nodded as she was still chewing the dumpling.

Ye Qian smiled and patted both their heads and again turned to Little Jia as she opened her mouth with a cheerful smile.

"Here eat it properly, don't be in haste."

Ye Qian said in worry thinking that the little girl would choke herself if she was not aware.

Little Jia nodded and continued to eat.

Meanwhile, opposite to them, the ladies were gazing at the three with red eyes.

Ning Wei's eyes had turned completely red as she felt a lump in her throat.

They all had their attention on Ye Qian when he sat in between the little girls and was feeding Little Qiqi.

While Ye Qian was feeding Little Qiqi, the three had seen the sad expression on Little Jia's face, after the little girl saw Ye Qian feeding his daughter.

How could they not know what this little girl was thinking when such a scene was happening right in front of her?

Little Jia had been deprived of fatherly love since she was a year old. She didn't even remember her father's face and nor was there any photo of him.

Now the same thing which she had never received was happening in front of her, how could she not feel sad about it and say it aloud.

Yuan Meng was also feeling bad about this and wanted Ye Qian to stop feeding Little Qiqi so as to not make Little Jia sad.

She was about to urge him to stop when Ning We stopped her.

Ning Wei shook her head at Yuan Meng.

How could she not know her daughter's plea?

But things would never change, there would never be someone like Ye Qian to her daughter. And the little girl needed to know that and make herself strong.

Was she always going to cry after seeing other fathers and daughters playing and eating?

No, she should make herself know that there would never be anyone to her.

Those were Ning Wei's thoughts as she gazed at Little Jia.

Her heart was aching to see her little daughter like this but she could not stop someone else's happiness for her daughter right.

So she asked Yuan Meng to sit and don't say anything to Ye Qian and Little Qiqi.

Sitting beside them Jiao could only sigh and shook her head helplessly.

'There is really no such power that can take the sadness away.'

Jiao shook her head as she glanced at the food.

But then something happened that made them feel warm in their heart and ecstatic at the same time.

They saw Ye Qian take another dumpling from the plate and blew it gently and dipped it in the sauce and move his hand.

But this time, he didn't bring it toward Little Qiqi, but to Little Jia's mouth.

Little Jia seemed to be oblivious of this and was dejectedly staring at the plate paced in front of her and taking a dumpling from it with a heartbroken look.

Just when the little girl was about to bring the dumpling to her mouth Ye Qian was ready with his dumpling and had brought it for her.

The ladies were shocked, they never thought that Ye Qian would do the same thing to Little Jia.

While Little Jia seemed dazed as Ye Qian smiled and talked to her.
