Chapter 162 - 162: Do You Want To See Magic?

The only person alive of the black-masked men was holding the little girl, Xiao Ya in his hand with great force enough that the little girl's eyes welled up with tears.

The man had just switched the lights on for now and closed his eyes due to the sudden exposure to bright] light but he didn't let his grip on Xiao Ya lessen but in fact pointed his pointed knife at right on her cheek.

"If you dare to do anything then this girl's death is on you."

The man yelled with his eye closed and snickered.

He didn't know how this man in front of them was able to kill all his colleagues but he felt some sharp object pierce his ear after that, the pain was not intolerable, but as he flinched. he heard a few thuds and next he saw that all his mates fell like clay figures without any support.

Seeing the bloody dot on each of their foreheads, he knew that all of them were dear by now and their bodies completely turned cold.

He really didn't know what this guy had used and there was no sound of any kind of bullet being fired either, nonetheless it was impossible to hit all of them all at once.

Meanwhile, opposite to him, Ye Qian's fists were clenched tightly and a cracking sound came from his wrist bones as his fists tightened even further.

He could see the painful and afraid look on the little girl's face and felt irritated for how he had missed this man.

"Keke."

The man in the mask grinned, opening his eyes.

By now the old man and Xiao Ya were also able to see who was in front of them.

"Uncle."

"Sob....sniffff."

The little girl cried out sobbing and sniffing, not able to hold back from crying after seeing that it was Ye Qian, she remembered that he was the uncle whom she had met yesterday and he had said that he would bring his daughter to be friends along with her.

But seeing him she cried out aloud.

It was only he who could be able to save her now and so she called for him.

"There there, little one, uncle will not let anything happen to you."

Ye Qian's expression changed seeing that the little girl was a lot afraid and tried to console her.

He smiled at her and tried to coax her up.

Xiao Ya sniffed and nodded, as she wiped her tears off with those tiny palms.

She didn't know why but felt that this uncle was going to save her after seeing his smile.

"Keke, don't promise what you won't be able to do, move out, or I will kill this girl right here."

The masked man sneered, weaving the knife in his hand at Xiao Ya's hair, thus cutting some of them as it fell off.

"Ahhh."

The little girl closed her eyes in fright and cried.

"Let the girl go, and you can leave."

Ye Qian sucked in a deep breath as he pointed at Xiao Ya.

He still had about 2 Air Bullets, but he really didn't know if he had enough ability with his current weakness to use them on this guy, and he was not confident whether his aim would be as accurate this time since he would be at his limit of endurance from the backslash he would get after using more Spiritual Energy.

The man spat taking a look at the bodies of the other 7 people lying on the ground with small dots right in the centre of their brows and from that dot blood was leaking out like a stream.

The man shivered as he saw that all of them had a sneer and normal expressions on their faces as if they were thinking of someone who was fooling in front of them and they would let the man leave with his life.

But even with them dead, they still had the same expression on their faces, as if they died in a fraction of a second when they had these expressions, they didn't seem to even have the time to react before they lost their lives to some unknown projectile that hit their head and then they could neither feel nor hear or see nothing as their souls had already left their bodies.

The man's lips trembled and his body shivered for a second before he glared at Ye Qian with his reddened eyes.

The people lying on the ground were his brothers, the ones he had been living with for most of his life, but now, he had to see all of them dead.

He had to think of taking revenge for his brothers and the only way was by killing this man, but he knew that he couldn't think irrationally, he needed to contact his uppers and then they might be able to kill this man.

While all this time the man thought he was still holding the Xiao Ya near him and covering most of himself with her small body, he didn't know if the man had more of those projectiles with him, and if he had then he knew he would have little to no chance of surviving against something which was able to kill all of his mates in just a blink of an eye.

Meanwhile, as the masked man was thinking all this in the place about half a minute had passed by now and this amount of time was enough for Ye Qian to be able to control his flow of energy and stabilize his condition, just enough to be able to take the little girl back from the masked man.

Ye Qian sucked a mouthful of breath before he gave a simple smile to the little girl and said.

"Little girl, do you want to see some magic?"
