A torrent of azure ring-shaped light swooped down at the flock of underling from behind. With a whirring sound, the rotating ring cleaved the underling cleanly into two.

It was just a single attack, but that single attack was enough to reduce a huge burden by taking down 16 underlings.

Tenji was desperately in need of one such opportunity and he didn’t let the chance go to waste. He tightened his grip over the Flame Demon Blade again and placed his left hand over his chest.

As if responding to his call, his heartbeat quickened. It was the cue of his ‘Pulse’ skill—which forcefully strengthened all parameters by 1.2 times. It was like a forced adrenaline mode.

In an instant, translucent, snowflakes shaped shields suddenly appeared in sync following his shout that stopped nine underlings that were rushing forward. But it wasn’t a perfect execution as five underlings still managed to dodge in time.

However this was enough.

The hellfire of the Flame Demon Sword burned more intensely than ever as Tenji sneaked into the underling's defence and swung down his sword.

Underlings tried to put a break on their advancement when they noticed Tenji had already slipped past their defence. They tried to avoid him but it was already too late.

Tenji’s Flame Demon Sword drew an arc as it created a crackling sound of air burning and split one of the underlings into two from top-bottom, leaving a scorching trail on the body parts it passes through.

It was a clever use of skill. The Brooch of Flame Demon was equipped with <Roaring Flame> skill which could grant additional ability limited only to hell weapons. Plus the fire hell weapons effect eject from one end was like the thruster of a plane, that conferred an additional momentum when attacking.

He had further perched himself atop the Twin Sword of Flame Demon and utilised their extreme speed as a way to give himself a speed boost. It was not an impromptu idea—he had been desperately practising all this while. Tenji continued his flurries of slashes and cut down second, third, fourth and in the blink of an eye, event the last underling—all the five underling who had managed to avoid his barrier were met with demise.

Immediately after, the one that had helped him—Fuyuki Kuro—stood next to him.

As a matter of fact, he alone had cleared nearly half of the underling flock with his azure ring alone, and Tenji knew this person, who was like a reliable brother, would surely watch his back even without saying anything.

Tenji stood next to Fuyuli and gazed at the incoming nine underlings.

“This is far from enough to deter me.”
