Awakening The Only SSS-Rank Class! Now Even Dragons Obey Me -
Chapter 154: Her First Time?
At the same time, outside the Celestial Domain, chaos ruled the capital city of the Medes Republic.
Everlight Guild
"Someone broke Diana's rank? That's impossible!"
A tall, beautiful young woman who looked remarkably similar to Naya suddenly shouted after hearing her subordinate's report.
There was nothing she could do about it. Diana was her biggest rival—and the rival of all the geniuses. And now someone had managed to defeat her?
"Who is it? Who managed to take the top spot from that monster?" she asked, shocked, staring at her subordinate.
"Here, young lady. This is the information we gathered on him." The subordinate handed her a tablet with Daniel's profile displayed on the screen.
"Daniel Noir? This name sounds familiar... Right, he's the one who cleared the Dungeon Colosseum. Naya kept talking about him," Lana said, thoughtful.
"That's correct, young lady. This is the same person."
"I see... So my sister wasn't exaggerating back then." A glint of greed flickered in her eyes.
Last month, when her younger sister returned, she spent the whole time with their grandfather, constantly talking about a young man named Daniel—about how talented and powerful he was.
At the time, Lana even thought her sister had been brainwashed, because she had never admired anyone outside of the family before.
But after hearing that he had managed to clear the Dungeon Colosseum, Lana concluded that her sister hadn't been exaggerating and gave her words a bit of credibility.
Though now, it seemed like her sister had actually underestimated that young man.
Diana is the most arrogant living being she knows—so arrogant that her pride could even be compared to that of dragons.
But now, she had finally been defeated—for the first time.
"I want him. No matter what it takes, he must join our guild."
Her subordinate nodded and left the office immediately to begin the preparations.
"Daniel Noir, huh? I never expected that arrogant bastard to lose. I'd love to see her face right now," Lana laughed coldly.
in another part of the capital, inside the Goblin Guild, a middle-aged man was staring at a holographic screen in front of him.
"So this is the one who broke the record? Why does his name sound so familiar..."
The middle-aged man frowned.
He was none other than the acting leader of the Goblin Guild—one of the strongest men in the country, and even the continent.
"Sir, that's the one who had a conflict with the Heir," said an old man standing next to him.
"Wasn't he talentless? I guess that's why James gave up on him."
"That's what it seemed like at first. But apparently, the young man achieved a secondary awakening," the old man replied again.
"James won't be happy about this. Anyway, where is he? Still hasn't returned?"
"The Heir is still inside the Tower, and it seems like the third floor hasn't been cleared yet."
"He's only eighteen and has already cleared two floors in a single year. If he clears the third floor too, he'll match that girl Diana's record."
A smile formed on his face.
James was only eighteen, and unfortunately, he didn't have enough power to be considered one of the generation's top talents.
After all, people like the eldest son of Kaelos and Lana Everlight were already at the peak of Rank B, on the verge of reaching Rank A, and most of them were between twenty and thirty years old.
But James? He had just reached Rank B.
Still, if he could clear the third floor, he might reach the peak of Rank B.
Then, they would finally be able to reveal the genius of their generation—a genius who, just like the current number one ranked girl in the country, had reached the peak of Rank B within a single year.
He couldn't wait to see the faces of those bastards who mocked the Goblin Guild for not having a genius this generation.
'If James reaches the peak of Rank B, he might even qualify for the Dragon & Phoenix Assembly. But the real question is whether he can have the combat power of those monsters at Rank A.'
"Oh, sir, also—looks like the Guild Leader will return soon from exploring the Apocalypse Rider Dungeon. The previous leader requested that we officially announce the Heir the moment he comes back," the old man suddenly said.
"My brother's coming back soon? Good, good. Start preparations for a grand ceremony. As soon as James returns, we'll introduce him as the Heir," Jason nodded.
"And about this Daniel... look into whether he's in a guild or not. If he's not—send a team to kill him." A dangerous light gleamed in his eyes.
As far as he knew, James hated three people more than anyone else in his life—three boys named Daniel, Joe, and Linor.
Unfortunately, they couldn't do anything about Joe—his father was one of the most powerful merchants in the country.
As for Daniel, up until now, they thought he was just a talentless loser, so James never bothered to lower himself and deal with him.
But Linor was different—not only was he an Awakened, but he had decent talent too. They had been using all sorts of methods to make his life miserable.
As for killing him? They were waiting for him to arrive in the capital so James could personally take his revenge.
But now that Daniel had awakened—and even managed to beat the top genius at something—he absolutely had to die.
A strong potential enemy like that couldn't be allowed to live.
"Understood," the old man nodded and left.
"It's time for the Goblin Guild to shine again," Jason whispered, looking out the skyscraper window.
At that very moment, inside the Celestial Domain, a man dressed like a noble swordsman—with the insignia of the Saironblade Guild on the right side of his chest—walked into the Church of Destiny.
"Welcome back to the Church of Destiny, Mr. Kaelos."
That's right—this man was the leader of the Saironblade Guild and Aron's father.
He had come to the Church of Destiny to use the Mirror of Destiny and uncover the truth behind his son's death.
