Chapter 205: He who seeks revenge digs two graves.

"What do you want?" Victoria asked, without looking at him.

Lee didn’t even think to blame himself for missing the chance to kill her when he heard how hoarse her voice was. It was still her voice, but it sounded like she had been swallowing dry sand for days.

"What is it?" Victoria asked impatiently, this time turning around.

Lee immediately realized the reason for his earlier hesitance. Those weren’t fatties, sitting outside on the lawn. Those were pregnant ladies, just like the one standing in front of him.

Victoria’s stare was still full of hate, as it has always been, but now she instinctively held both hands on her protruded belly, as if protecting the unborn child. She was huge, probably in the eight or night month already, Lee had no clue how far exactly. But her size wasn’t the most striking thing about her.

It was her face. And her eyes. She had been crying for days, if not months.

Her shoulders had sunken, probably because of the biological changes, but it looked like she had been broken. There was nothing left of the once haughty and arrogant princess – what Lee saw in front of him was a wreck. A pregnant one.

There was no way he could lift the dagger he had in hand, but he couldn’t leave either, because she recognized him as well.

"You?" Victoria’s shock wasn’t lesser than his. Then she noticed the dagger in his hand, and bitterly laughed, "Do you really think you stand a chance?"

"Not anymore." Lee said with a sad smile, and hid the dagger in his sleeve again, "If I’ve known you’ve been punished I wouldn’t have bothered to look for you."

"Hahaha!" She laughed, but it almost sounded like she was coughing, "And you thought it was worth to try to repay me? I tried to kill you, so what? Repay for Edward’s death? You didn’t even know him! Hahaha! You came here for nothing, loser!"

"Mhm. True." Lee agreed, "I’m kind of a loser, but you’re wrong about the rest."

Seeing her vicious expression change, he said, "I liked Edward, but even in Sunwell it was clear that a snake like you will kill him sooner or later. It was just a matter of time. Of course, I give even less fucks about Deen. In fact, I was the one who killed his brother."

Seeing Victoria shocked speechless after he switched to the Sunwell’s dialect, for some reason Lee felt relieved. And the more he talked, the better he felt.

"You know, I killed them all. Dale was only the first. I killed both Newman’s sons and his daughter, arranged the death of the Ironfist’s daughters. I even forged the letters that led to Powel’s death, although it was kind of an overkill. Basically I killed all of them except for Bishop, you and the young generals. The former was an idiot, so I kind of forgot about him, but the young generals were killed by the Lunax’s scourge. Only you were left."

Lee knew that it wasn’t good for an expectant mother to go through stress, but he felt great pleasure observing the changes in Victoria’s expression. He knew that he wasn’t getting out of here alive, but it didn’t matter.

In fact, his revenge didn’t matter – while he has been digging her grave, she managed to turn her own life into a living hell, according to her standards, of course.

The only problem was that meanwhile he had somehow dug a grave for himself. But he made a peace with it the moment Victoria turned around.

"You ... what?" Victoria was trying to process what Lee said, but nothing made sense, "Are you from the Hand of God?"

"Hahaha! No!" Lee found it hilarious, "Although the Prophet did try to convert me. Did you know he ignited his own spark as well? Anyway, it doesn’t matter. I’m Alan Green’s adopted child. You and the rest of the motherfuckers killed my parents in Pine Village."

"Hahaha! So now you’ll die here!" Victoria laughed, not really recognizing him, but knowing what his end was going to be.

But Lee only shrugged in return, and said, "Yep. But you’ll live and teach your sick morals to your child. Thanks to you I’ve learned that revenge is one of the stupidest things one could think of. Nothing good comes of it, but the clowns you try to punish will ruin themselves anyway. Funny, huh?"

"Funny? You think this is funny?" Victoria barked back, heavily smacking her belly. Lee even took a step back in shock, but her next words explained everything.

She said, "There isn’t going be a child! The year in Ashland crippled my divine body! No pills or baths could fix it, and now I’m carrying an abomination!"

It took few moments for Lee to process it, but he wasn’t surprised at all. Everything made sense.

He said with a sad smile, "It’s strange no one has said this to you ... no, scratch that! Because you’re a sick bitch, no one has ever explained to you that you don’t have a divine body. You never had one. You’re a freak. And sick in the head at that."

He heard the hurried footsteps outside and knew his time had come. But it was alright. This life surely has been fun.

"Hahaha! But you’re dead, bastard! Dead!" Victoria laughed, but to both – hers and Lee’s surprise, both of their necks were neatly cut.

She tried to turn her head to see the executioner, confusion written all over her face, but it slid off her shoulders and Lee knew it was only a split moment until he would see Lisa. And he had been waiting for it for the longest time.

And there she was. As beautiful as ever. Standing right in front of him. There was no one and nothing else around – just the two of them enveloped in white mist.

It felt she was so close he could stretch his arm and touch her, but he knew better. Every time he attempted it, the strange vision disappeared and he was born again.

Lee was set on making this moment last longer, preferably for eternity, and it seemed Lisa had the same in mind.

They stood there, longingly looking in each other’s eyes. But Lee was happy. No matter what he went through during life, if the death was this beautiful, he didn’t mind dying over and over.

Of course, after learning about the seal in the form of the yin-yang symbol on his right palm, he knew that these occasions were likely to be limited in number. That’s why he didn’t rush to die, but he wasn’t bothered with the death either. The expectations to meet Lisa’s faint smile made meeting her even more thrilling.

But then the strangest thing happened. Lisa suddenly grinned, and gave him thumbs up. With both hands.

What the fuck?!’ Lee instinctively intended to shout, but only the cry of a newborn came out. They were supposed to longingly enjoy each other’s presence, but she ... gave two thumbs up?

"Get off the horse and give me your bag if you want to live!" A bearded man with wide shoulders barked at Lee, barring his way.

He held a long spear in his hand, pointed in Lee’s face, just like over a dozen other spears belonging to his buddies. The lone teenager on the horse seemed an easy pray on the forest road, miles away from any settlement.

"I’ve got a better idea!" Lee said in return, stretching out his palm with a foot tall bright flame suddenly sprouting at the center of it, "Why don’t I let you guys live and from now on you work for me?"

"Elemental master!" Bandits gasped in shock. It didn’t made sense for someone as strong to appear in the middle of nowhere, but they weren’t outright killed on the spot, so maybe it was only a show.

"I’m serious!" Lee said, jumping off the black steed, a horse he bought several days ago. He patted it’s neck, calming it down, and then his whole body got covered in flames in an instant.
