Chapter 72: Love the seas? Yes!
Chapter 72: Love the seas? Yes!
Merlin sneered, "What’s there to be shocked about? Greed can do many things to a human.
"Looks like it has been a long time since they had seen the real Merlin and everyone got their wings out.
"Let’s cut them before it is too late."
The assistant nodded his head frantically. Yes, yes. They should cut that man’s wings as soon as possible. Otherwise, how dare he think of laying his filthy hands on his boss?
They really forgot the real Merlin now that he was being calm and always smiling.
Once they are reminded of how Merlin really was, they will stand in line and bow to him again in fear.
Merlin took his phone out and called someone before giving out a few orders. Just like that Jim Reed was on his way to get punished by Merlin.

"Who are you? Do you know who I am? Leave me. Who are you people? I said leave me. Can’t you hear me?" Jim Reed was shouting as his eyes were covered and his hands and legs were tied up.
They were in a dark container, which was swaying around as it moved.
For Jim, the feeling was a bit too familiar. He understood that he was traveling on water.
He continued shouting but no one responded. He was no longer sure if there was anyone beside him or not.
That did not stop him from shouting and screaming to let him go.
After more than ten hours, someone finally removed the blindfold from his eyes.
Jim opened his eyes but couldn’t see anything. He realized that his surroundings were dark.
Before his eyes could adjust to the new darkness, someone grabbed his collar and dragged him like a sack of goods.
They did not even care to carry him. They just made him roll or drag on the floor as he was taken out of the ’container’ he was in.
Once out of the container, his eyes blinded. It wasn’t that there was too much lightning outside.
It was actually still dark. There were a few hanging bulbs around to lighten up the entire ship.
But the size of the ship was a bit too... huge.
Jim had seen cargo ships that could transport tons of goods. Yet, this ship he was on was so big that all the ’huge ships’ he had seen before seemed like they were little babies in front of this one.
To say that this was a cruise ship was to insult it.
So magnificent!
He saw a man sitting on a chair and looking out towards the sea. All Jim could see was the man’s back but he felt that he looked a bit familiar.
"Umm... sir, who are you? Why did you bring me here?" Jim probed softly. He was scared.
Around the man, there were many trained men standing, who folded their hands, showing off their huge biceps and triceps.
One among them could crush him like an ant; let alone what everyone could do to him together.
The man raised his hand and twirled it in the air.
The men around him understood his instructions and they immediately went to Jim and dragged him before they made him kneel right in front of Merlin.
Seeing Merlin there, Jim was scared and his face turned as pale as a blank sheet of paper.
"B... Boss?" He stuttered.
"What happened? Why do you look so shocked? Did you forget what I looked like?" Merlin smiled as usual and asked him as if he was asking about the weather.
Jim shook his head, without being able to say a word.
"Why do you look so scared?" Merlin continued to ask with his smile. But his smile only looked scared under the dark sky.
Jim looked around. He understood that he was now on Merlin’s turf. His eyes fell on the men standing guard around them.
"Oh? You are scared of them? You don’t have to be. They don’t do anything. Well, of course, unless I order them to. So, you don’t have to worry," Merlin smiled.
His words sounded harmless, but Jim trembled.
Merlin was clearly saying that if he got into his bad side, he would let his men handle him.
Jim had a guilty conscience. So, how could he not get scared after listening to those words?
"B.. Boss... why did you bring me here?" He stuttered while asking, pretending to not know what he had done.
"Oh. Just so that I can let you watch the view here. I mean, you worked very hard for me, didn’t you? So, I wanted you to relax for a while and enjoy a small vacation. Look around. Isn’t the air here so nice? When I looked at it, I was reminded of you. I wanted you to see this scenery as well. How is it? Isn’t it beautiful?" Merlin looked out into the sea, took his glass of whiskey, and took a sip.
He looked like he was there to enjoy the night sky to stargaze.
"Ye... Yes... It is beautiful," Jim did not even dare to look out of the ship, let alone enjoy the scenery. But just had to go along with Merlin’s words now.
Until he was out of this ship, he had to do whatever Merlin wanted him to do.
"I knew you would like it. I mean, I did find that you like transporting goods through the seas. This showed where your passion lay," Merlin continued to smile and chat.
But Jim understood. Merlin found that there was something wrong with his freighter.
So, he was here to warn him?
Jim had already learned that Merlin was looking into him. So, this did not come as a huge shock to him.
"Yes. I do like the seas." Jim softly muttered carefully so that he wouldn’t say anything that he shouldn’t.
"Hmm, I don’t mind you working on the seas as well. I don’t mind you working on whatever you want as well. But you have to drag me in, don’t you?"
