Helena relayed the words to Vincent on the phone, "I think he left his phone in the other room, Brother Vincent. Do you want to talk to him?"

Vincent said something and Helena nodded, "Okay, Brother Vincent. I will tell him. You please stay strong. We will reach there as soon as we can."

She hung up on the phone and looked at Vernon with a frown.

Vernon’s chest tightened. He was scared.

He walked back to her bed and asked her, "What happened? What was Brother telling you?"

He took a few deep breaths to clear his mind before asking her, "Was she at the party yesterday?"

Helena thought for a second and shook her head, "I don’t think so. I heard Sister Jemma say that she tried to come but couldn’t because of some problems with the flight."

Vernon recalled that that was what Jemma had told him as well. "If she wasn’t at the party, then how could she be kidnapped?"

Helena tilted her head to the side in confusion, "What do you mean? Why is her being at the party related to her getting kidnapped?"

"How could she get kidnapped if she wasn’t at the party at all?" Vernon sounded as confused as Helena did.

"Why will our party and a kidnap be related to each other in the first place? You make it sound like one had to get kidnapped only if they were to attend the party," Helena did not understand what Vernon was thinking at all.

"Huh?" Vernon blinked his eyes. He had yet to register what she was saying and what he was saying but he shook his head, "I did not mean it like that. I just think that if she faced any danger, then it could be at the party yesterday, right?"

"Why do you think so?" Helena still did not understand what he meant.

"Huh?" Vernon did not understand Helena as well.

"If someone wanted to kidnap her, they could kidnap her anywhere. Why does it have to be at our party?" Helena asked again.

"What are you talking about?" Vernon still looked confused. They both felt like they were in two different dimensions to understand what the other was thinking about.
