Chapter 107: Pearl? I have many!

Merlin shook his head with a polite smile, "I am sorry but I don’t recall meeting you before."

Since Helena had called him uncle, Merlin thought he should be polite to him and answered nicely.

Hubert continued to think but he still nodded. Since he couldn’t remember, there was no use in stalling the young man for him. He could think about it slowly.

He turned back to Vernon and Helena and had a small chat with them before leaving to talk to others.

"Ahh!! She is here!"

"Where? Where? I can’t see her. Where is she?"

"There."

"Where?"

"Ahh!!! Pearl!! I see the real Pearl with my own eyes!! I can’t believe it!! I have no more regrets anymore. I am ready to die today!! Ah!!"

"Me too! Me too!! Ahh!! Pearl!! here. Please look here! Pearl!!"

The trio heard everyone gushing and then slowly screaming in excitement.

"What’s going on?" Merlin asked calmly with no such excitement as the others.

Helena and Vernon looked at his calm demeanor and asked him, "Looks like you are not a fan of Pearl."

"Pearl? I have many pearls with me. Do you want some? I can give them to you," Merlin seriously looked at Helena and said.

"..."

"Are you joking?" Helena asked with her lips wide open.

Merlin tilted his head to the side. "Joke? What did I joke about?"

He looked genuinely confused and the young couple felt bad for ’doubting’ him.

"Ehem," Vernon cleared his throat and explained, "That’s Pearl. She is an actress from my company. She is also the spokesperson of the Jeffery’s companies."

"Oh. I see. So, she is famous?" Merlin nodded before asking to confirm.

"Yes."

"Yes."

The couple nodded.

Merlin casually shrugged and continued looking at the food options from the buffet.

Vernon and Helena exchanged glances before smiling. They know that a few businessmen weren’t much interested in the entertainment industry but they still thought that everyone would know Pearl.

But from Merlin’s actions, it was clear that wasn’t the case.

As they joined him in taking some dishes to eat, they heard how everyone around gushed about Pearl.

On the other hand, Pearl was still on the red carpet, getting her pictures taken.

A few reporters even interviewed her. She seriously talked about all the various Jeffery’s industries. A few reporters asked her a few personal questions, but she dodged them skillfully.

Being an actress for many years, she knows how to answer the questions to the reporters and everything went smoothly.

Once she was done with the interviews and the pictures, she entered the venue.

As soon as she entered, she was surrounded by many of her fans, asking for her autograph and picture.

She smiled and gave everyone whatever they asked for.

The entire venue was divided into many sections. There were many industries under the Jeffery’s banner. Not everyone could get together and mingle easily.

To organize properly, each and every division was neatly separated.

Vernon was the CEO of the entertainment division. So, other than Pearl, many other celebrities attended the event as well.

But, since all the divisions were made methodically, the celebrities were in their own special zone.

Since Pearl is the spokesperson of not just the entertainment company but all the industries, she had to enter the business division. That was why she was surrounded by all the employees of the company while the others weren’t.

A few bodyguards immediately went to her and helped her leave the place and guided to her seat in the front.

Since Vernon and Helena went to the buffet area, they met many employees in the way. Vernon is a famous figure and as his wife, Helena was well known as well. So, everyone greeted them and they had to greet everyone back as well.

The time went on like that and the host went on the stage and started speaking.

He invited a few special guests who were invited to give the speeches on the stage. For everyone, such things are considered boring but they had to maintain silence as a form of respect.

After the speeches were done, a few celebrities were called to perform.

With all the celebrities under their company, the talent wasn’t less at all and everyone was entertained.

A few games were also added here and there, making the entire event fun and lively.

After a long while, the business partners were invited to the dinner.

Long tables were arranged and a rotating belt was moving on the table with multiple dishes so that everyone could take any food they liked.

Special designers worked hard to design the venue and the tables for this event.

The designers made sure that everyone could mingle while eating when they designed the tables.

Merlin, too, knows a few people in the banquet and he greeted everyone he knew.

As the hosts, Helena and Vernon were busy greeting everyone and taking care of everything.

There is no way they could stay together all the time and were separated long ago.

"Second Young Madam?" A voice called Helena and she turned around.

When she saw the Seventh Prince looking at her, she was stunned for a second, before she composed herself and smiled at him, "Seventh Prince. Have you eaten? Do you need anything? Please don’t hesitate and ask for anything you need."

Seventh prince raised an eyebrow and smiled at her. He slowly walked towards her and nodded, "Thank you for your great hospitality, Second Young Madam. My assistant had just gone to get me my food. I will eat once he is here."

As a Prince, even if the food was revolving right in front of him and all he had to do was take the food and place it on his plate, he couldn’t do that. Such simple tasks were considered menial for his status.
