Chapter 378: Chapter 288 Wei Jiaguo: Ah Cheng, Do You Want the Dog or Not? Chapter 378: Chapter 288 Wei Jiaguo: Ah Cheng, Do You Want the Dog or Not? “Let’s not worry about what to do with Little Heiye once he grows up,” Chu Mingcheng picked up Jiang Luoluo and teased, “Since we found Little Heiye today, it wouldn’t be excessive to have a few pairs of high heels tonight, right? Black and black match so well!”
“That’s excessive, way too excessive! You’re wasting resources, wasting money; do you think my money is blown by the wind, that high heels don’t need to be bought again?”
Jiang Luoluo struggled in his arms all the way until she managed to free herself at the bedroom door, standing with hands on her hips in righteous indignation.
“Besides, we have a little friend at home tonight, so be mindful of the influence.”
Chu Mingcheng glanced at Little Heiye’s perky wagging tail while he continued to scarf down his food.
In just a short moment, he had finished half a bowl of sheep’s milk mixed with dog food, living up to the dog world’s reputation as a famous eater.
But tonight’s focus wasn’t on Little Heiye’s eating.
Chu Mingcheng pointed to the dog’s wagging tail and teased, “You weren’t saying this when you were playing with Little Heiye’s tail earlier. I must say, I have something even more fun here.”
Jiang Luoluo stared at her own palm in astonishment, “Is that what you mean?”
“Sometimes, habits become nature!” Chu Mingcheng hinted meaningfully.
“Go to hell with your habits becoming nature!” Jiang Luoluo seemed to recall her earlier embarrassment and helplessness; although it was her own initiative, wasn’t she still coerced into it?
So she kicked out in annoyance.
Chu Mingcheng dodged swiftly with a turn of his body, “Hey, you can’t hit me.”
As he spoke, he ran into the bedroom.
“If you dare, don’t run!” Jiang Luoluo didn’t think too much and chased after him.
And then… an hour passed.
Chu Mingcheng emerged from the bedroom in his underwear with his upper body bare; Little Heiye must have been both tired and hungry during the day, and scared as well.
After eating, he conscientiously returned to his dog bed to lie down and sleep, showing no reaction even with his owner nearby, sleeping soundly.
Chu Mingcheng had planned to move him to the dance room but decided not to disturb him since he was already asleep.
Instead, he cleaned the dog bowl on the balcony, then turned off the living room lights before returning to the bedroom.
Back in bed, Jiang Luoluo, who had already taken a bath and changed into her nightgown, took the initiative to snuggle up.
“How is Little Heiye doing?”
“Already asleep. Let’s hurry to sleep as well, or you’re going to suffer tomorrow morning!” Chu Mingcheng hugged her, adjusting their positions to get comfortable.
Jiang Luoluo was a bit surprised; she didn’t expect him to stop tormenting her, as they usually went to sleep in the middle of the night, but tonight it was only eleven o’clock.
But she understood the suffering he mentioned, so she closed her eyes and hurriedly fell asleep.
“Awoo… woof…”
“Awooo woo woo… woo woo awoo…”
As expected, early in the morning, just as daylight was breaking, Little Heiye’s childish howls filled the room.
Chu Mingcheng opened his eyes immediately, glanced at the clock, and saw it was only five-forty in the morning.
“Hmm…” Jiang Luoluo was also woken by the noise but kept her eyes closed, snuggling up in his embrace and asking sleepily, “What time is it?”
“Not even six yet. Keep sleeping. I’ll move Little Heiye to the dance room and make breakfast for him,” Chu Mingcheng said after giving her a light kiss on her smooth forehead, then got out of bed.
It was five-forty, over two hours before Jiang Luoluo’s natural wake-up time, still drowsy, she gave a soft grunt of acknowledgment and went back to sleep.
Chu Mingcheng dressed quietly, tiptoed out of the bedroom, and carefully closed the door behind him.
Little Heiye had already crawled out of his bed, his body still wobbly, as he sniffed and scrambled around the living room.
Chu Mingcheng went over to check and found that the pee pad in the dog bed was wet in three places and there were two little piles of poop.
True to the Labrador breed, what goes in must come out.
He first disposed of the used pee pad in a trash bag, replaced it with a new one, and then moved the dog bed to the dance room.
This time, Little Heiye stopped howling, seemingly appeased by his presence, wagging his tail and sidling up to his feet.
The abandoned puppy seemed to instinctively know how to ingratiate itself with a new owner.
Last night, Chu Mingcheng not only had intended to turn off the lights but had also planned to move him to the dance room; he left Little Heiye undisturbed when he saw the puppy was sleeping.
Jiang Luoluo had soundproofed the dance room, so even if Little Heiye howled inside, the noise would be minimal outside and wouldn’t disturb the neighbors, avoiding unnecessary trouble.
Chu Mingcheng took sheep’s milk from the fridge to warm up, and Little Heiye followed him around, the little legs so cute as they moved.
After heating the milk, he prepared the breakfast just like the night before, pouring some dog food to soak in it.
Little Heiye enjoyed his breakfast on the balcony in the sunshine, his tail erect and amusing to watch.
The pet hospital would open at nine, so Chu Mingcheng wasn’t in a hurry to make breakfast.
He brought a small stool to the balcony and watched Little Heiye munch away.
Little Heiye smacked his lips, splashing sheep’s milk everywhere as he ate.
Chu Mingcheng realized that compared to the little kitten he used to have, he actually liked dogs better.
Once Little Heiye finished his breakfast, Chu Mingcheng wiped his mouth with a napkin and cleaned his rear with a wet wipe.
Without a mother dog to care for him, a puppy doesn’t know how to keep itself clean; if left untended, it would develop an odor over time.
So meticulous human care and cleaning was essential, since he was to be a house pet.
Afterward, he carried Little Heiye with one hand and took out the trash from last night.
