Chapter 353: Chapter 283 The Super Large Shoal of Fish_4 Chapter 353: Chapter 283 The Super Large Shoal of Fish_4 Zhang Wei was also tired, “I caught five, together, we didn’t even have half of yours, did we?”
“Not even half? Ah Cheng, how many did you catch?” Chen Yang asked in astonishment.
“Not bad, twenty-one. Compared to the spearfish school at the bottom, it’s just a drop in the ocean,” Chu Mingcheng said nonchalantly, gesturing with his hand.
Chen Yang’s mouth twitched, and he was at a loss for words.
Moreover, he didn’t think he could catch that many tuna by hunting.
Hunting was fast but required much more physical strength than fishing, and it was still difficult to catch a large number of tuna.
Chu Mingcheng didn’t notice his expression, and he was walking toward the cabin at that moment.
“Hurry up and tidy up, bring out the table; it’s not hot today, we’ll eat outside.”
Zhang Wei and Chen Yang agreed, helping with whatever they could.
Chu Mingcheng headed to the kitchen to cook some rice, so they wouldn’t get hungry at night from eating only fish.
Then he opened the refrigerator to see what good stuff was inside.
When he saw a few mangoes that were even bigger than a palm, he took two out with satisfaction.
He then opened the freezer and found several boxes of top-grade marbled beef.
The beef was thinly sliced, clearly meant for hot pot.
But there were other ways to eat the beef, so he decisively took out three boxes.
He grabbed a few other miscellaneous items before finally bringing the ingredients he found to the deck.
Chen Yang had already moved the table out, on which there was an induction cooker and a charcoal stove.
The plug of the induction cooker was inserted into a socket, connected to the wall switch below the side of the ship used for charging the electric winch.
“You’re good at finding things; you managed to find all the good stuff from our fridge,” Zhang Wei said with a laugh, looking at the ingredients placed on the table, “Are we going to use these for the fish feast?”
“Of course, what’s so good about only eating yellowfin sashimi,” Chu Mingcheng replied as he took up the fish knife to begin filleting the yellowfin tuna he had brought with him.
Cutting off the head and removing the fins, he then divided the fish into three parts along the bone.
He wasn’t interested in the fish bones and head, leaving them for Chen Yang and the others to deal with later.
As for the flesh, Chu Mingcheng opened up the spot where the dolphin had hit and found the flesh there was indeed smashed, so he cut that piece off directly.
Zhang Wei curiously asked, “What’s up with that piece? The flesh seems all mushy?”
“A dolphin came to help when I was hunting earlier; it got bumped,” Chu Mingcheng explained, then he carried the rest of the fish flesh meant for eating and placed it on the table.
When Zhang Wei heard about the dolphin’s assistance, his expression showed surprise, but considering the thousands of dolphins that appeared today, it was quite normal for a few to be playful, so he didn’t ask further questions.
Chu Mingcheng then cut off a large piece from the belly and the back of the fish.
He handed the rest to Chen Yang for him to pack and keep.
“Aren’t you going to keep some to take back?” Chen Yang asked.
“I don’t need to; a taste of the sashimi is enough for me. I don’t eat it as often as you do,” Chu Mingcheng shook his head in refusal, then as if recalling something, he added, “How much beef did you buy? Could you give me some later?”
“I bought three boxes, most of which are in the cold storage. You can take a box later,” Chen Yang said generously.
“You bought so much, that’s good,” Chu Mingcheng nodded in satisfaction. He preferred hot pot beef slices over sashimi.
Especially since they were top-grade marbled beef, which he didn’t even prepare on his own boat.
But this reminded him that next time he went to sea, he would definitely prepare more.
There was no worry about buying too much with such a large cold storage in addition to the fridge.
The dinner that followed was simple: slicing the tuna, then pan-frying the beef slices. Once cooked, they wrapped the tuna in beef and dipped it in sauce before eating. This was much more satisfying than eating sashimi alone.
By the time they finished dinner, the sky was completely dark. Chu Mingcheng, carrying a box of beef, returned to his boat.
He found a suitable area of water and used the fish attractor light to lure tuna, preparing for night fishing.
