Chapter 217: Supplies for the Military

Early in the morning, Elena and Ethan quickly donned their cold-resistant suits and exited their room to have breakfast with the kids.

Afterwards, they contacted Xander to check on his side.

When they found out he was already at the abandoned building, they exited their unit and reappeared at his location.

As they emerged from the building, Elena felt a shiver run through her.

The cold was intense, and she quickly used her spiritual energy to warm herself.

Upon seeing them, Xander quickly walked over and greeted them, "Chief, sister-in-law, you’ve arrived."

They nodded in acknowledgment and began assessing the unit.

After a thorough inspection, they agreed that the building was sturdy enough to store the supplies.

"I think this will do. Let’s start bringing in the supplies," Ethan suggested.

"Alright," Elena agreed.

She then began retrieving the supplies, making the boxes appear inside the unit one by one.

But paused for a moment.

"No one will come here, right?" she asked, just to make sure.

"This area is secluded, so rest assured—it won’t happen, sister-in-law," Oslo replied, glancing at the growing pile of supplies.

Elena then continued her task, retrieving and arranging the supplies throughout the building.

It took her hours to take out everything.

Soon, a large number of supplies had been placed across different units.

"Done. Let’s contact the military to finalize the trade," she said, eager to receive the remaining jade and antiques as agreed upon for payment.

"Sure," Ethan replied, then used his [Telepathy] to inform Oslo and let the military know that the supplies were ready for pickup.

Oslo quickly relayed the message, and the military responded with enthusiasm, promising to send soldiers soon to handle the transfer.

It took thirty minutes for the military officers to arrive at the location.

They came with heavy-haul trucks equipped with de-icing systems and hovercrafts for some of the soldiers.

Seeing this, Elena and Ethan were amazed. The military truly had the means to gather such advanced transportation.

They went out to meet the arriving soldiers and guided them to where the supplies were stored.

"Hello, you’re with Paradise Shop, right?" General Mason asked, eyeing the three masked individuals.

General Reid, who had returned to the base earlier to gather more troops and prepare heavy firearms, had already informed him about the supplies purchased from Paradise Shop.

These supplies were to be collected soon. After that, the soldiers would transport part of them back to the main base.

"Yes, officer. As discussed, we’ve loaded the supplies into these fifteen units. Please take your time collecting them," Ethan replied, his tone calm and mysterious.

General Mason nodded and motioned for his soldiers to follow.

As soon as they entered the building, they were stunned.

Supplies were stacked neatly—fruits, vegetables, and meat, all looking fresh and well-preserved.

"This..." the general murmured, glancing at the three masked individuals.

He could immediately tell that the quantity was enormous.

They would need more transport trucks. He turned to one of his men and gave an order.

"Return to the evacuation center and bring more soldiers to help carry everything. Be careful and make sure no one learns about this mission."

"Roger, sir," the soldier replied with a sharp salute before rushing off.

The rest of the team stood frozen for a moment, amazed by what they were seeing.

Without further delay, they began hauling the supplies to the trucks. With so much to carry, they knew it would take a while to complete the task.

While waiting, General Mason chatted with the three masked individuals, hoping to build a good rapport with them.

As the officer in charge of the evacuation center in this area, it was wise to stay on good terms with such capable allies.

"On behalf of the military, thank you for these supplies," he said sincerely.

Elena glanced at him and replied, "No need to thank us. These were all paid for."

"Even so, they will help us a lot. By the way, the payment is ready at Golden Tower, Building A, Unit 2201. You may pick it up anytime."

"Alright. We’ll head there later after this transaction. Do you mind if we hitch a ride?" she asked.

"Sure," General Mason agreed.

They then discuss the current updates in the area, to kill time.

Soon after, the backup troops arrived, making the collection of supplies much faster and easier.

Based on Elena’s information, thousands of soldiers were stationed at Golden Tower and Camel Tower.

These troops often patrolled nearby buildings, helping to make the area safer and more secure.

After hours of moving all the supplies, the military trucks finally left and rushed back to the evacuation center.

The sight of the trucks packed with goods amazed the nearby residents.

Many watched in awe, wondering who had the power to gather so much.

When they found out the supplies came from the military and that an evacuation center would soon open in Building A of Golden Tower, the residents cheered with relief and quickly went there to ask for more information.

However, not everyone was happy.

Some criminals who had seen the trucks became curious and started thinking about an ambush.

But once they realized the trucks belonged to the military, the small-time criminals dropped the idea. They knew they couldn’t win against soldiers.

The big-time criminals, however, watched the military with burning interest. They began making plans—not to attack now, but to strike later if an opportunity came.

The troops then continue rode back to the military evacuation center, sparing Elena and Ethan the need to travel by dog sled.

Within few minutes, they arrived and saw many soldiers moving about, busy with their duties.

Once inside the building, General Mason guided them to the correct unit where the jade and antiques were stored.

"This is the unit. Please take a look for yourselves," he said, stepping aside to let them in.

As soon as Elena saw the piles of jade and antiques stacked neatly inside, she couldn’t help but chuckle.

’Baby, mommy is rich now’

"Thanks, we’ll inspect it ourselves," she added, hinting that they wanted some privacy.

General Mason caught on and nodded.

He left with the other soldiers, who went back to their tasks—organizing supplies and getting ready to transport them to the main base.
