After assigning rooms, everyone made brief arrangements. Fang Yuxin checked the time and found it was only four in the afternoon.

It was only August, with long daylight hours, and it would not be dark until about seven or eight in the evening. However, it was barely four o’clock, and the sky was already almost completely dark, which was really unsettling.

But the rain outside continued, now turning into a downpour. The moisture in the air mixed with the smell of earth and decay to form an even more unbearable stench.
