“It’s okay,” he replied casually with a smile.

Su Shu glanced at him, turned around to get a jacket, and draped it over him.

“How’s the wound on your arm?”

“The military doctor has looked at it.”

Su Shu hummed in response and moved a stool next to him to sit down.

Tang Zelin switched the cup to his left hand and with his right, pulled his wife into his embrace; Su Shu leaned her head against his shoulder.

The setting sun dyed the sky with splashes of color, creating a beautiful scene.

“Look, no matter what happens in the world, nature remains as beautiful as ever.”

Embracing her, Tang Zelin smiled and sipped his water, set the cup aside, and took hold of her hand.

“It’ll be all right.”

“Mhm.”

Having survived the escape from death, the moments of peace felt incredibly blissful.

Su Shu couldn’t help but lean closer into his embrace, his broad chest like a mountain, providing her with immense comfort.

Her initiative to cuddle closer was well received by the man; Tang Zelin was in a great mood.
