He knew he shouldn’t be nitpicking over words, but what he didn’t like to hear, he simply didn’t want coming from her.

After some thought, Su Shu figured that Tang Zelin inside must be quite angry at the moment, and it probably wouldn’t be a good idea for her to go in. Moreover, with Qu Guo’an there, they were likely discussing official matters first. Considering this, she thought it wouldn’t hurt to take Shen Han to see Jiang Meili first.

Standing by the window, Tang Zelin held a cup in one hand and stood tall. He took a sip of water, his eyes narrowing as he watched the two figures growing smaller in the distance, a dangerous undercurrent swirling in the depths of his gaze.

Qu Guo’an glanced at Tang’s face and chuckled inwardly; he had finally found something with which he could occasionally tease Tang Zelin.

As he turned back to his desk to look into the issue of how to allocate the new batch of supplies, the person who had been standing by the window for a long time finally turned and returned to his own place.

The two men exchanged looks. Qu Guo’an struggled to suppress a smile. “Are you really upset?”
