Chapter 281: Chapter 280: Let Go of That Girl (7) Chapter 281: Chapter 280: Let Go of That Girl (7) What should I do?
He just moved his fingers, and my heart started racing.
He hasn’t mentioned anything about after we got married, and neither have I. Remembering how just a few days ago I brazenly teased him, asking if he wanted to sleep with me at night?
Thinking about it now… have I lost my mind?
Sleep together?
Hehe… I’m definitely the one who would end up with a nosebleed!
Finally, Zelin finished his cigarette, pinched out the stub, tossed it on the ground, and let Su Shu go.
The enchantment in his eyes faded slightly as he remembered he had some serious matters to discuss with her.
“There’s still some work to finish at the unit. I’ll head back first. You okay going up the mountain alone?” he asked.
“No problem.”
“Alright, then I won’t accompany you. I’ll come look for you before it gets dark. Don’t sleep too early and leave the door unlocked for me,” he said.
“Ah? You’re coming over tonight?” Su Shu started to get nervous.
Zelin chuckled as he flicked her nose, “Don’t be scared, I won’t ‘eat’ you today. Look at how frightened you are. I’m your husband; am I a wolf?”
Su Shu thought to herself, you’re scarier than a wolf.
Zelin said, “Now that we’re married, I’ll bring some of my things over to your place later. It’s only right to keep them there, isn’t it?”
As he spoke, Zelin felt completely at ease. His stuff at his wife’s place–that’s how it should be, right?
There was this feeling of entrusting himself to Su Shu for her to take care of, and it felt so comfortable!
“Are they important?” she asked.
“No worries, just my personal items.”
“Okay.”
Su Shu thought to herself that even if they were important, she could keep them safe. She had ‘space.’
Despite wanting to stay with his warm little wife a bit longer, there was a pile of work waiting for him. He gently patted Su Shu on the head with an indulgent tone.
“Go back, wait for me at home tonight.”
Su Shu (internally): Frustrated…
Why has Zelin suddenly become so gentle after getting married?
Zelin had no idea what Su Shu was thinking. He just felt that the way the girl glanced backward every few steps seemed a bit odd…
He hadn’t said anything wrong, had he?

“Ouch! Damn!”
Qu Guo’an almost split his butt in two as he got up, holding onto the corner of the table. With a swift movement, he rushed over.
“You really got married?! Where’s the marriage certificate? Anyone can talk big without proof!”
Ever so relaxed with a smile, Zelin said, “We really did. You don’t believe me?”
“I’ll believe it when I see a ghost! That box of wedding candies is still lying in the filing cabinet. Do you think I’m blind?” Qu challenged.
Putting down the pen in his hand, Zelin reached into the pocket over his chest to take out the marriage certificate, with a smirk forming on his lips.
“Do you need wedding candies to get married?” he asked.
“Cut the crap, show me the marriage certificate or you’re fooling no one!”
Thwack! Two little red booklets landed with a slap on the table.
Someone looked smug as he watched his long-time partner gape in shock.
“Here’s your chance to worship me. Tell me, am I handsome or not?” he asked.
Qu’s heart wavered…
With trembling hands, he picked up the two red booklets, a conflicted expression on his face.
“Praising you is too hard, isn’t it? Well, forget it. We’ve been together for so many years; I’ve already received your admiration,” Zelin said.
Qu flipped open the two marriage certificates. The wedding photo with the couple sitting side by side was quite an eye-sore, really an eye-sore!
Disbelievingly weighing the marriage certificate in his hand, Qu looked at Zelin, “So you just fooled Su Shu into going home with you like that?”
“There you go, you’ve seen the certificate, right? Old Qu, from today onwards, I’m a married man!” Zelin declared.
“Just look at how proud you are, is having a wife that great?!” Qu huffed, not wanting to admit that at the sight of the marriage certificates, he did feel a twinge of envy.
Zelin reflected for a moment and nodded, “You know what, it really does feel different to have a wife. I should have gotten married earlier.”
