Clifford said, “Since you got the inheritance, you must know about the ranks above the Black Mark. There are powers above Red Mark Warrior.”

“Once you become a Red Mark Warrior, you will know about them. Right now, you should know that our world is engaged in a war with the foreign creatures’ world.”

“The war has been taking place since ancient times. From time to time, there are ceasefires. But we are now engaged in an active war with them.”

“The foreign creatures have a similar rank system. The highest one we are dealing with has the same power as the Red Mark Warrior.”

“But they are not frontline warriors. They operate behind the scenes. The frontline warriors are the same as Black Mark, Silver Mark, and Gold Mark Warriors,” Faction Leader Clifford said in a low tone.

On the other hand, my heart was in turmoil. My doubts were cleared, but it’s shocking to know that the ancient battle is yet to be over.

No wonder the ancient voice had great expectations of me. It had made me fight against the foreign creatures in that trial.

Austin and others were watching Zack Lockwood’s expression. They were surprised to see his calm and composed behavior.

They thought he would yell out in surprise because they had done the same when they heard it for the first time.

But they didn’t know Zack Lockwood had already experienced the foreign creatures in the trial.

A few minutes later,

I looked at everyone before turning toward Faction Leader Clifford.

“I understand,” I said to him.

“Good, since you know now. Hereafter, you won’t be fighting against monsters alone, but against the foreign creatures as well.”

“You will be assigned to the battlefield whenever there is a foreign creature extermination task,” Clifford said in a serious tone.

Hearing that, I replied, “Okay.”

“Good, you can go now. Hereafter, you will be entering the inner hall. If you want, you can go there to get familiarized,” Clifford said.

I nodded to him and the others before leaving the meeting hall.

“Sigh!”

Clifford let out a deep sigh. He had expected a different reaction. But Zack Lockwood was calm and composed from the beginning.

He then turned toward the others and asked, “Did any of you guys tell him before?”

“No,” Austin replied with a smile.

“I think Dean Jerome must have said something. This kid came prepared. He was not surprised at all,” Leola said with a chuckle.

Hearing that, the others supported her argument. Then they spoke about a few other things before parting ways.

Meanwhile,

I walked out of the Thunderflame Faction and started walking toward the Inner Hall. The Inner Hall is located far away from the Outer Hall.

But then I continued to walk on foot. On the way, I came across other warriors who were surprised to see me.

The next second, they stopped and took pictures. Seeing that, I ignored them and continued walking.

There were a couple of warriors who avoided my gaze and fled from the spot. They were all General Rank Warriors.

They didn’t dare to fight against me right now.

About 10 minutes later,

I arrived at the territory surrounded by walls. I came to the entrance gate and saw that no one was there. Confused, I wondered if my outer hall ID would work.

I took the ID out and walked up to the gate.

Creak!

The next second, the iron gate opened. A middle-aged man walked out. The aura of a Black Mark Warrior radiated from him.

The middle-aged man saw the face of Zack Lockwood, and he was stunned.

“You are Zack Lockwood?”

“What are you doing here?” the middle-aged man fumbled a little.

“What do you think?” I asked back.

The middle-aged man collected his thoughts. He felt a sense of danger from Zack Lockwood. Then he recalled the trending news.

He realized that Zack Lockwood was one of the returnees from the old secret land.

“You are a Black Mark Warrior now,” the middle-aged man uttered.

Then he welcomed Zack Lockwood inside.

I nodded to him before walking into the inner hall. The inner hall is larger, wider, and more spacious than the outer hall.

I could see tall buildings everywhere.

The middle-aged man said, “I’ll take you to the admin office. They will give you your new uniform and ID card.”

“Thanks,” I replied.

Then I started following him to the admin office.

On the way, I began to look around the surroundings. I didn’t see a single warrior.

I asked, “Where are the others?”

The middle-aged man said, “Most of the warriors have gone for the foreign creatures extermination task.”

Hearing that, I was stunned. I thought one or two teams could have accepted the task. But it looks like the battlefield is larger than I imagined.

Soon, we arrived at the admin office. There was an old man sitting behind the desk. I could sense that he was stronger than me.

“He is a Silver Mark Warrior,” the middle-aged man said.

Hearing that, I raised my eyebrows in surprise.

The old man opened his eyes. His gaze fell on the ID before he saw Zack Lockwood. He immediately recognized him.

He said, “You are a famous kid in the outer hall. But you are an inner hall warrior from now on. You can’t be reckless hereafter.”

“I will be careful, elder,” I said to the old man.

Then he called out to the staff inside the office. A middle-aged man walked out. The old man told him to bring out the new ID and uniform.

Shortly afterward,

The staff came with the new ID and uniform. The old man gave them to me. I accepted them and stored them in my storage ring.

“The rest of the things he will explain to you,” the old man said.

I thanked the elder before leaving.

The old man’s eyes flickered.

“This kid’s inheritance is not easy. Many of them are going to have sleepless nights here,” he thought.
