Chapter 32 - 32 15 Void Target Search
32: Chapter 15 “Void Target Search 32: Chapter 15 “Void Target Search Seeing that Lin Yi had no reaction, Wei Liang took the initiative to crawl out from under the desk and then waved his hand in front of him.
“What’s the matter, legs numb from squatting?
Come out, it’s safe now!” he extended his hand to Lin Yi and pulled him out from under the desk.
“Old Lin, you haven’t been scared silly, have you?”
He stretched out both hands and rubbed Lin Yi’s face.
Lin Yi’s head swung back and forth like a bobblehead doll, and just as he was about to shake off Wei Liang’s hands, his pupils suddenly constricted violently.
His face turned pale in an instant.
He saw a classmate, his body almost embedded in the seating of the tiered classroom, staring right at him.
The classmate’s eyes were wide open, yet his gaze was vacant.
His mouth was stretched into a huge arc, almost reaching his ears, like a clown.
Crazed, maniacal, stupid…
conflicting expressions were grotesquely crammed onto his face, making it look bizarre and terrifying.
Lin Yi wasn’t sure if the classmate was actually looking at him, but his expression resembled that of a ghoul perched on a windowsill, staring intently at the delicious flesh in a display window.
What really made Lin Yi’s scalp tingle was that in the classmate’s hand, he saw a portable flashlight.
Just this alone was enough to assure Lin Yi that this classmate was the same person who had killed Little Genius after the lights went out in the classroom!
It was this classmate who had thrice attempted in the darkness to seize him in a relentless tussle!
“This is fucking…”
Lin Yi shivered all over.
Witnessing this abnormal scene, Wei Liang turned around with a puzzled look, following Lin Yi’s gaze.
“Old Lin, what are you looking at…
holy shit!”
The moment he saw the classmate, Wei Liang’s legs went weak, nearly collapsing on the spot; fortunately, he managed to grab onto Lin Yi’s shoulders just in time to prevent himself from falling.
Wei Liang didn’t dare to speak anymore.
He shrank his neck and slowly moved to the side, leaning against the desk and gasping for breath, his face full of shock.
Lin Yi cautiously bent a little to his left.
The expressionless classmate also slightly tilted his neck in the direction Lin Yi was facing…
Lin Yi was filled with terror and straightened up, then leaned slightly to the other side.
The classmate indeed followed his movements, slowly tilting his neck, eyes unblinking, the arc of his mouth unchanged.
“Fuck, is he really watching me?” Lin Yi was horrified.
The warm light of the classroom fell on him, but all he felt was a bone-chilling cold.
He bolted, rushing toward the nearby bookshelves, and hid behind them.
That creepy discomfort disappeared at this moment.
Lin Yi quietly breathed a sigh of relief.
But the peace was short-lived; soon, he felt again as if he was being watched.
He carefully peeked out from behind the bookshelves, following this sensation, and sure enough, he saw that the classmate, with blank, wide-open eyes and a huge grin, was looking right at his location.
Lin Yi felt a chill; those hollow yet icy glances made him uncomfortable all over, as if being stared at by Medusa herself.
He took a deep breath, trying several different covers, but the classmate’s gaze always managed to follow him after a brief delay.
It was like a lingering nuisance.
The more it continued, the stronger the chilling sensation grew in Lin Yi’s heart.
Gradually, he felt the hair on his arms standing on end, and it seemed as though numerous needles were gently pricking his pores all around him…
He scratched his arm, which alleviated the goosebumps somewhat, but the discomfort did not decrease much.
Wei Liang also noticed the problem and bent down, tiptoeing with extremely small, inconspicuous steps, “dilly-dallying” to Lin Yi’s side, then whispered quietly:
“Old Lin, are you encountering something filthy?”
Lin Yi was speechless, but the sensation of a thorn in his back was so intense that he said, “Though I’d love to tell you to believe in science, I really don’t feel good right now.”
“Damn, what should we do?” Wei Liang asked worriedly.
“I don’t know.”
“What?
You don’t know?
Then how did you get targeted by that guy?” Wei Liang nudged with his mouth, glancing sideways at the classmate.
Wei Liang’s arrival distracted Lin Yi’s attention, slightly easing his sensation.
He spread his hands and narrated to Wei Liang everything about how Little Genius was killed and his struggles with the classmate.
“That’s the story; it was just really lucky for me to survive just now.”
“Damn, such an undeserved disaster, you were seriously screwed over by Little Genius!” Wei Liang listened, his heart pounding with fear.
He widened his eyes in astonishment, looking at Lin Yi and could not help but say, “But speaking of which, it still has to be you, Old Lin, if it were me, I’d definitely have been taken away already!”
“Well, but then again, why did that classmate lock onto you?
After hearing all this, it seems like he’s visually impaired.
Could it be…
‘Void Target Search’?”
“Damn ‘Void Target Search’!” Lin Yi grumbled in his heart, saying, “If it’s really that mystical, aren’t you afraid of being targeted by him just by staying near me?”
Wei Liang shrugged, admitting, “Although I’m scared of it affecting me too, I feel it’s safer to be together.
Besides, didn’t I just hide under the desk next to you, and nothing happened to me?”
