Chapter 115: Class 2

After the whole issue with those three, Riven headed to the cafeteria. Despite the fact they had a kitchen in their dorm, they barely cooked and survived off the cafeteria.

When he walked in, he saw the members of Class A on one side, and amongst them were Noel, Liana, Mia, Sofia, and the royal two—Robert and Chloe.

Before he could think about sitting, Noel waved to him, signaling at the seat beside him. Riven got his food, taking only the free food they offered, and walked to sit down.

"With over a million points, and that’s what you got?" Robert asked, pointing his fork at the dry-looking steaks and pudding Riven had gotten.

"I’m not in the mood for anything else," Riven said and sat down. He locked eyes with Sofia for a moment, but she clicked her tongue and looked away.

"Where are the elf twins? I barely ever see them," Riven asked.

"Training. They are always training. It’s a good thing, but still," Robert said.

"And Lance?" Riven asked.

"Training as well. You know why," Robert said and kept eating.

Suddenly, the doors of the cafeteria swung open, and three figures walked in—second years, one girl and two boys.

Immediately after they walked in, the entire cafeteria went quiet. No one dared speak.

"Second years? What the hell are they doing here?" Liana asked in a low voice.

"Something has definitely happened, and I’m sure it’s not good," Robert said.

They all understood how this academy worked, and hierarchy was very important. Second years would not just randomly come to the first-year cafeteria—something must have happened.

The three looked around, and when they saw Riven and the group, they walked toward their table and stopped in front of it.

"I’m guessing you are Riven Von Grave, the rank one of the first years," she said, looking directly at Riven.

"From the looks of it, you already know who I am. Is there any issue?" Riven went straight to the point. He knew they were here for something, he just didn’t know what exactly. He couldn’t remember there being anything like this in the story.

"Well, you see, something has happened, and you along with the top ten of the first years will have to fix it, or it will spiral into a big issue.

I am Luel, rank 52 and second rank of Class 2-B. I was called on by the A class today all of a sudden. They told me that a group of first years from your Class C blatantly disrespected a Class A from second year.

I’m sure you can already guess where this is going. The Class A have summoned you—the top ten of the first years—to their class to talk about what happened," she said.

"Summoned us to their class? Couldn’t they just pass the information directly to us?" Riven asked.

"You are not in a position to complain. I need you to understand that the fate of every first year is resting on how you handle the situation," she said. She looked right into his eyes as she spoke.

"Now that that’s out of the way, in half an hour, get all ten of you and head to Class 2-A," she said and walked out with the two boys.

The air inside the cafeteria became heavy. No one dared speak loud, because they understood something was happening—and it wasn’t good.

"Someone from Class C disrespected a Class A student of the second year... that’s chaos," Robert said.

"This is indeed a big issue. I’ve heard of how upperclassmen handle disrespect—this will definitely not be fun," Sofia said, and everyone nodded in agreement. Then they all turned to look at Riven, wanting to hear his input.

Sigh "We can’t run from it. The fact that they want to see us means an apology will probably not cut it. I didn’t think our first introduction to our upperclassmen would be something like this," Riven said. He used his fork to play with his food for a bit and then looked up.

"We will go, but there will be no signs of weakness. We can’t allow them to believe they can walk over us.

Let’s meet in half an hour at the training room. Tell whoever is left. That’s the best we can do for now, I think," Riven said and got up, leaving his food uneaten.

Half an hour later, they met up at the training room—all eleven of them—and as if they all had the same idea, they all had their weapons out on their bodies rather than inside their storage.

The female elf had a fancy-looking crossbow and a sword, while her twin had a sword. As for Jack, he was sporting clawed gauntlets.

"Alright, everyone is here. I’m sure you already know what’s happening—the second years want to talk to us, and not just any second years, but rather the A class.

That’s definitely trouble, and we will have to face it head-on now. Some of us have differences, some of us hate each other’s guts, but for now, we have to be Class A, and tackle the issue as it comes," Riven said.

"When did you become a good leader?" Robert asked with a laugh.

"I’m just explaining, not really a leader, and I don’t wanna be," Riven said.

Lance, who had been quiet since they got here, finally spoke. "And if this turns into a massive issue?" he asked.

"Then we will take it head-on," Mia responded.

"Exactly. For the sake of all our futures, we can’t allow ourselves to be walked on," Robert said.

"That’s what I needed to hear," Lance said and flashed his confident, heroic smile.

’Urghh, this dude still didn’t lose his spunk. I guess that’s fine—he is still the Chosen of Lumis after all. He has a job to do,’ Riven thought.

Lance glanced back at Riven for a second and then looked away. ’ I’ll get my position at the top of this class. You won’t see the takeover coming, Riven.’
