Chapter 371: Chapter 202: Art is Patrick
About twenty minutes had passed, and the Beggar Gang Disciples also arrived in a sand transport truck, encountering the same problem as before and calling the General Sect Leader to inquire about the situation.
Allen Zhang instructed them to enter through the side door, so the Beggar Gang Disciples took a detour and drove the truck onto the site.
"These are the raw materials for the explosives."
Allen Zhang called over the demolition expert, Howard, and asked with a smile, "Can you produce and mix them on site here?"
After inspecting the raw materials in those plastic barrels and finding no problems, Howard, who saw that there was a mixer and various instruments on-site, confidently said, "Don’t worry, boss, I specialized in mixing clay explosives in the military. I’m a professional, leave it to me!"
Rolling up his sleeves and putting on rubber gloves, he took out a measuring cup, found a few people to assist him, and then started producing and mixing on site. He sequentially added clay powder, softening water, aluminum powder, and other raw materials into the mixer for a thorough mixing.
Allen Zhang left them to their tasks and pulled Red, the supervisor, aside.
This was Red’s first time seeing handmade clay explosives on site. Standing on tiptoes and stretching his neck, he was eager to learn the professional technique, but was stopped by the General Sect Leader.
Allen Zhang chuckled and said, "Buddy, learning this won’t do you any good."
"Who says? Maybe one day if I’m desperate, I could embrace the explosives and perish together with someone else," retorted Red, stubbornly.
The process was very swift; in just a few minutes, the ingredients in the mixer were already shaped, soon turning into a white color, resembling rubber putty with an elastic yet soft texture.
Howard grabbed a piece of the clay material, rolled it into a sphere, and brought it for the General Sect Leader to inspect.
"Boss, it’s almost ready, the clay explosives have both stability and combustibility. It can only explode by inserting a detonator and primer; otherwise, it’s just a lump of ordinary material, which can even be used for starting fires or building walls."
"No one in their right mind would use this stuff for building walls..." Red commented, and seeing Howard hand over the clay explosives, he quickly stepped back, waving his hands, "Hey! Keep it away! Buddy, I really don’t want to touch this thing."
Unlike the life-preserving Red, Allen Zhang was much calmer and took the rubber putty-like clay explosives, kneading and moulding it with skilled hands into the shape of Patrick.
"Go, use a detonator to blow it up, and remember to run far away!" Allen Zhang handed the explosives to Howard.
"Got it." The Beggar Gang Disciples immediately acted, inserting a detonator and primer into the Patrick-shaped explosives, running to an open area outside the venue, operated for a while, and then ran back for the countdown to detonation.
Accompanied by the dripping countdown timer, there was a loud bang, and flames shot into the sky! The harmless Patrick just exploded.
Indeed! Art is Patrick!!
Allen Zhang looked at the power of the detonated explosives, feeling it was quite substantial. This thing was truly a practical and stable military invention; even the Claymore Mines used similar explosive materials.
Such a pile of muddy toy-like thing, the raw materials themselves weren’t very valuable, but by simply packaging them in boxes, they could fetch a good price!
He then instructed the Beggar Gang Disciples to start working, imprinting the prepared materials in molds, and neatly placing them in the clay explosives packaging boxes, each weighing about 1000g.
The packaging boxes, of unknown origin procured by Yuri, were colorful and varied in prints, without a logo but with different patterns, yet still looked quite expensive when neatly arranged in cardboard boxes, far more expensive than the loose versions.
What was once a plain piece of clay explosive that wouldn’t be recognized by most if thrown by the roadside, but once packaged, it became something unaffordable for the average person. From the original price of 25 US dollars, it instantly increased to 250 US dollars, selling to the military district at a tender price starting from 50,000 US dollars per kilo.
This is indeed doing business!
The Beggar Gang Disciples, busy with fervor, assigned their respective tasks. Howard and the assisting Beggar Gang Disciples were responsible for formulating the clay explosives, creating usable materials at the right proportions, while others took care of imprinting and packaging.
Unfortunately, there wasn’t enough raw material, and such a small amount didn’t require the use of professional assembly line equipment. It was purely handcrafted, the hard-earned money; otherwise, if there were sufficient quantities, the raw material purchasing price would be at a discount, allowing the small workshop in the processing plant to produce tens of thousands of boxes a day, each box making hundreds of dollars.
After spending several hours, and now in the early morning, the Beggar Gang Disciples finally exhausted all the materials, meticulously packaged them into boxes, and sealed them in cardboard boxes, loaded on the sand transport truck.
Red, too, had dark circles under his eyes from staying up, yawned, and checked the time, "Finally done. It’s already late, and people will be coming to replace shifts and start work soon, you guys better leave quickly."
"You don’t need to tell me, it’s been a pleasure working together! Hope to cooperate again."
Allen Zhang shook hands with him reassuringly, then had people clean up the venue, putting everything back in place, and helped take away the barrels of raw materials.
"I think there won’t be a next time," Red wished to send these plague-like men away.
"That’s not necessarily true, anything is possible, farewell." Allen Zhang smiled and led his men into the vehicle to leave.
