Chapter 368: Chapter 201 Unlucky Guy
"Pour a bucket of water over our guys to wake them up, move the other victims out and load them onto those two pickup trucks. When they wake up tomorrow, they will drive themselves back to the city. Then we’ll set a fire and burn this place down to destroy the evidence."
Allen Zhang, after giving the orders, told the others to go inside and loot the place, not to overlook even a single cent, otherwise we wouldn’t cover the cost of bullets and gun maintenance today.
The Beggar Gang Disciples quickly carried out a thorough search, digging through the factory. They soon found a small safe but couldn’t unlock it due to the unknown combination, resorting to breaking it open by force.
Upon opening it, they found an account book and several bundles of 50-dollar Paper Currency.
"Boss, that’s all there is. The rest are just unfinished drinks, six unnumbered Ghost Guns, and a Remington shotgun," reported the Beggar Gang Disciples to Allen Zhang.
Allen counted the cash, a total of 4000 US Dollars. He hesitated, feeling that these guys were a little too poor, weren’t they?
Without much thought, he distributed all the money to the Beggar Gang Disciples, telling them to share it equally. After all, it was their first mission, and they deserved a generous reward, showing the magnanimity of the General Sect Leader.
He skimmed through the transaction notebook, which listed all human trafficking activities and some expenses.
A healthy young man could sell for 2000 to 8000 US Dollars at Heaven’s Gate, which seemed way too cheap.
"Put this stuff on them too. When the time comes, they’ll bring the evidence to the police themselves, and the rest is not our concern."
Allen figured that the cops would likely not take any significant action, and couldn’t be counted on.
The Beggar Gang Disciples moved the kidnapped victims onto the pickup trucks outside, poured another bucket of cold water on their own people, who jolted awake from the shock.
"Don’t kill me! Please, I beg you!"
"Oh my god! Help! I don’t have much money on me! I’m a beggar!!"
The two cried out as soon as they opened their eyes.
Allen said irritably, "Save it, even if you begged for mercy they wouldn’t have spared you. You’d better think of how to get back to the city from the suburbs."
The two were stunned, then recognized the General Sect Leader standing before them. Seeing Black’s body beside them, they burst into tears of gratitude.
"Boss, you came to rescue us! Thank the heavens! Those damned Black Devils dared to kidnap us and even talked about selling us!"
"We’re poor as it is, and they wouldn’t even spare beggars, they’re not human."
They were on the verge of feeling completely wronged.
"If someone dares touch my people, of course I’ll make them pay the price! Don’t mention this to outsiders after getting back, it could bring me trouble."
Allen warned, "Otherwise, don’t expect to continue following me!"
"You can count on us! Boss! You’ve saved our lives, from now on, we’ll do whatever you say and we won’t cause you any trouble," the Beggar Gang Disciples swore.
Loyalty +1!
Allen couldn’t help but mock the two for their lack of culture, wishing they could have said something more dramatic like going through fire and water or following orders without question, which would have made it feel more meaningful.
With a wave of his hand, the General Sect Leader casually ended the matter, "Alright, let’s put this incident behind us. Find your way back to the city. There’s a road outside that leads straight to the highway, and from there it’s just a kilometer to a suburban service station where you can spend some money to call for a car. We’ve got more business to handle."
The two hurried away from that place of misfortune, planning to hire a ride through a ride-sharing app to return to the city—this suburban area was just too freaking scary.
After cleaning up the scene, stacking Black’s body inside for an eventual burn, and moving the other victims, cars and all, to a nearby copse, Allen and his men set up another stakeout, with the armored transport vehicle hidden in the darkness of the night.
Sitting in the car, Allen took out Black’s phone and after scrolling through contacts saw a notification for a group chat.
Spurs: There are no suitable targets left in the suburbs.
Aaron: We’ve just completed one job, and are now onto the second.
Spurs: Haha! We snatched a couple of young folks! We’re on our way back now.
It didn’t take long before Sieg spotted a silver-grey Highlander with its lights on through the scope of his sniper rifle.
Allen was also in the armored car, with Beggar Gang Disciples nearby, all set up with their guns.
"Hey! We’re back! wtf, why’s there no one here? Where are the cars? They wouldn’t just leave us behind to have fun on their own, would they?"
The Highlander stopped outside the factory, and two Black Devils stepped out, confused about the empty courtyard, not understanding what was going on.
But they didn’t think too much of it, just cursed the others for being selfish and not waiting for them, hurriedly got out of the car and dragged two young men out.
Looking at the young men lying there like dead pigs, Allen fell into deep thought.
He couldn’t help but curse, "Damn it. Are these guys really that unlucky?"
He recognized them as Beggar Gang Disciples.
Just as these fools had fled to find a ride, they got caught again—a streak of bad luck like no other. In the middle of the night in the suburbs, they dared to get into the Black Devils’ car? No memory at all.
