Chapter 335: Chapter 190: From Arms Dealer Novice to Grave
Allen switched places with Melvin halfway and drove the person to Sunkist Bar. Instead of going in to supervise Mary and Guise at work, he headed straight to Armed Nation on West Street.
Upon arrival, he could see Sieg had already parked the armored truck at the doorstep of the gun store, fully loaded with equipment from Firefox PMC Security, ready to go.
Allen parked in the gun store’s backyard and hopped out to call over Sieg to lend a hand. Together, they unloaded the equipment and placed it on the shelves with price tags for sale.
Sieg opened a crate of arms, glanced at the serial numbers and checked a few paper lists. Surprisingly he said, "Boss, where did you get these arms? The serial numbers are still factory-issued, all legal. Did you really not spend a single cent? There’s at least two hundred thousand dollars’ worth of arms here!"
Allen smiled: "It’s all left to me by that stranger who became my good friend."
He then informed Sieg about the incident that happened on the ranch in the suburbs.
Sieg was absolutely stunned, his face full of shock, "What sort of arms dealer gets wiped out seeking revenge, killing that many animals? That’s a talent!"
Every time the General Sect Leader always manages to land the perfect loot, your life must be on cheat mode!
Allen told him to cut the chatter and start working. He also lent a hand, helping to hang the firearms on the walls and in the cabinets, figuring out the prices.
Sieg took the list of firearm serial numbers upstairs, logged onto the official website, and listed these legal firearms for sale, registering their numbers.
Now buyers could select and order guns online, or they could choose to come to the store nearby to view and purchase.
"Boss, we’ve got the store, we’ve got the guns, but I feel like we might be missing some staff. Should we recruit a few female sales clerks?"
Sieg went downstairs to consult with the General Sect Leader, pondering if they should follow the staff setup of another Armed Nation boss, preferably hiring clerks who were fair-skinned, beautiful, long-legged, and good at engaging customers.
"It’s not that complicated; we’ve got plenty of beauties within our own team."
Allen immediately sent a message to Jennifer on his phone.
Allen: Want a decent job? No physical labor, no running around, just sit all day and earn money with dignity.
Jennifer: Are you asking me to prostitute myself? Are you sick of me?
Allen: Stop joking. Sieg and I opened a gun store and we’re short on sales staff. I would like to invite you to help out; I can offer you a wage of 35 dollars an hour, plus extra commission on sales.
He also snapped a photo of the gun store interior and the firearms hanging on the walls.
Jennifer: This is so cool! I’d love this job, but I don’t know much about gun knowledge, do I need to learn it?
Allen: You just need to memorize the firearms models and prices. The process isn’t complicated. All you have to do is introduce customers to the models and their advantages, and find people to sell the guns to. Physical sales must be qualified; you can’t sell guns to unqualified people.
Jennifer: Don’t worry, sweetheart, I’m professional at this! I’ll sell these weapons to people just like I would sell myself!
Allen: ...
Uh-oh, I almost forgot what Jennifer used to do, scamming and conning people is her specialty.
Allen: You’d better not pull too many tricks, who knows what those gun buyers might do.
Jennifer: I got it! Can I start working now? I can hardly wait!
Allen: [Location coordinates] Come on over.
After sorting out the sales staff situation, Allen also sent a message to Bailey, asking him to come over to help mind the shop. They waited in the store for a bit, and soon both of them arrived.
Allen had already geared up in security equipment and explained to the two, "We’re going to take care of some business outside, you guys get familiar with the store environment first, then open up for business. If someone places an order online, first get to know whether they have personal or storefront qualifications, verify their authenticity, and only sell to them if it’s legal and compliant. If they are nearby in Los Angeles, we can deliver for free, if it’s outside Los Angeles with small quantities, it can be mailed from the post office. For large-caliber arms worth over ten thousand dollars, we will escort them personally but charge extra for the risk and distance covered."
Bailey, familiar with this line of work, gave an OK sign, no problems at all.
Jennifer began seriously reading the employee manual she was holding, with Allen catching a glimpse of the cover, "Starting from Scratch as an Arms Dealer, From Beginner to Burial."
Wait, was she going all international trade on me while selling from home?
Allen felt a bit overwhelmed.
He thought that Jennifer might just be on a whim and would settle down in a couple of days.
He instructed them further on how to run the gun store, no need to be overly enthusiastic with regular customers. Gun enthusiasts would have already done their research, just perform the basic job of introducing firearms, conducting background checks, and completing transactions.
Jennifer also promised to provide customers with a warm and welcoming experience. Bailey felt that with him, a peerless tough guy around, no one would dare to cause trouble.
Only then did Allen feel reassured to leave, taking a seat in the armored truck.
