Chapter 173: Chapter 134: Punk Girl

Allen Zhang praised their efficiency again; the fifty thousand US dollars were almost like found money, although the General Sect Leader did indeed rely on free riding to make money every time.

He then sent a message to Dominic, informing him of some of the deals he and Cooper worked on.

Dominic showed some interest, because he indeed wanted to buy a bicycle. If the price was right and he could avoid taxes, he would certainly be happy to shop.

Dominic: My friend is back, too. Luckily, she didn’t miss the relief money distribution day. When do you plan to return to camp? It’ll be a good time to introduce her to you.

Allen Zhang: I’ll be back after dinner, and I still have some work to do tonight.

Dominic: Ok.

After getting dressed, Allen Zhang went downstairs and found that Rena had already prepared dinner.

Seeing him dressed, Rena asked in confusion, "Aren’t you staying overnight here tonight?"

"I have some matters to deal with. It just so happens that Dominic’s friend got out of jail today, I need to go check up on her," Allen Zhang said tactfully.

"Dominic’s friend? That little girl?" Rena was surprised. "She’s out of jail?"

"That’s right, it seems you know about her. What do you know about her?" Allen Zhang asked.

"She’s quite an interesting girl," Rena commented delicately. "She was once a mental patient, with a doctor’s certificate to prove it."

"..." Huh?

Hearing this, Allen Zhang didn’t ask any further.

Sitting at the dinner table, looking at the sumptuous meal, Allen Zhang felt not very hungry and teased, "Haven’t you eaten your fill yet? The sugar intake from the honey alone is enough for me."

That jar of honey was almost too much to stomach.

Rena rolled her eyes, placed the plate on the table, and snorted, "How could that little bit fill one’s stomach? Are you planning to leave me to meet some little lover tonight?"

"Impossible! What do I need to do for you to believe I really don’t have the energy!" Allen Zhang couldn’t help but complain. Do they really think the General Sect Leader is made of iron?

"Considering your performance today, I’m still not reassured," Rena said with one hand on her shoulder, coming closer with a smile. "At least, let me make sure you really have no fight left in you!"

No, you really don’t want me to walk out of this shelter alive, do you?

Don’t come over.

Another half hour of endurance. The General Sect Leader truly had no drop left.

Allen Zhang took a while to recover some strength, quickly finished dinner, said goodbye to Rena who was washing up, and left the shelter, walking back to the bridge cave headquarters.

Upon returning to camp, he saw the gang gathered around a bonfire, with music playing. Allen Zhang walked over curiously and saw, besides familiar faces, a new girl among the crowd, playing the guitar, singing and dancing.

She had healthy, wheat-colored skin, smoky makeup, a tall and spicy figure, about 1.7 meters tall.

On her arms were half-finger gloves, a metal chain around her neck, a black sleeveless vest, matched with a loose red and white checkered skirt, a riveted leather jacket with personality, black fishnet stockings, and Martin boots.

Her fluffy curly hair was dyed bright wine red only at the edges and bangs. She had a lip ring, earrings, and tattoos on her arms and thighs.

Quite the punk rock hottie from the streets.

But she didn’t look like a patient.

Her eyes were a light shade of gray, and upon seeing Allen Zhang, she grinned and made a Spider-Man gesture.

Allen Zhang twitched at the corner of his mouth.

So that’s how it is.

"Hey! Allen! Come over! Let me introduce my good friend, Jesse," Dominic noticed Allen Zhang and waved excitedly for him to come over.

Allen Zhang pulled up a stool and sat down, looking at the punk girl playing music, and asked, "Is this the girl you were talking about? Your friend? What does that gesture mean? Failed Man?"

"Ah, that’s just her style, don’t mind her. She’s just straightforward; her way of expressing herself isn’t quite like normal people, but she doesn’t mean harm. You’ll see once you get to know her."

I understand, she’s a bit eccentric.

Looking at neighbours David and Gate, I see the little girl’s eyes filled with admiring stars; they’re getting led astray. Do the young people on the West Coast all like this kind of frenzied literature?

Allen Zhang didn’t ask more, just quietly listened to the unfamiliar melodies and lyrics of the girl’s performance.

After the song finished, Jesse reached for a high-five with the people around. She ran a little lap, and everyone cooperated with her.

When she came to Allen Zhang, just as he was about to high-five her, she suddenly withdrew her hand, pointed at him, and said, "Buddy, even though we’re meeting for the first time, I’ve heard your story! I gotta say, what you did was just so cool!"

"Thank you for the compliment," Allen Zhang replied, "Your singing is not bad either, but it didn’t seem like it was in English?"

"Hahaha, man, what are you babbling about? Saying my singing is good is less believable than claiming I have a nine-inch...thing."

"..."

You really don’t know how to speak.

As she ran off towards little Lori, leaning on his shoulder, extending her hand, she teased, "Hey, bro, shouldn’t you give some loving encouragement to the most passionate rising star of the campground?"

"I just want to slap you against the wall, so you’ll be stuck there and can’t be pulled off!"
