Chapter 101: Sewer Mad Dog
Chapter 101: Chapter 101: Sewer Mad Dog
Allen Zhang assigned tasks and location information to the newly arrived fighters of Beggar Gang, asking Sieg to lead a few people to head home to retrieve their equipment, and then regroup on Leo Street.
The situation was urgent. Leo and Monica had run into trouble. A few Europeans had come to their turf to make a mess, attempting to snatch the jars from their hands.
Allen Zhang also cautioned David and Gate not to engage in violent conflicts with them. If they wanted the jars, give them what they wanted, and then reclaim their reputation later. Jars are important, but not as important as people. Getting injured wasn’t worth it.
He himself was quickly heading to the scene.
It took him a little over ten minutes to reach Leo Street, where he saw injuries everywhere, trash cans were thrown all over the place, and even the glass of the rearview mirrors on the parked garbage trucks were smashed.
David and Gate were comforting the frightened Monica, while Leo sat on the curbside, holding his bloody nose.
With a serious expression on his face, Allen Zhang approached quickly, "Did they start a physical fight?"
"Boss, you’re finally here!" The appearance of their backbone, David and Gate, visibly relieved them.
"Leo, are you okay?" Allen Zhang asked Leo with concern.
"Not really, sir, but luckily my nose isn’t broken. It’s just bleeding a little."
Leo, with tissues plugging his nostrils, indignantly said, "Those Europeans are really out of line. I already gave them the jars, and they still want to cause trouble!"
"Are you sure they’re the Irish from the sewers? Not some other team’s trick?" Allen Zhang turned to look at David.
"It’s them! The one leading them has brown skin, a face tattoo, and a Mohawk. The others call him Sewer Mad Dog."
David and Gate were quite discontented, "He not only stole our jars, but he also injured Leo, and even smashed the glass of the car’s rearview mirror. If it weren’t for a police officer passing by, they would have definitely started messing with Monica, too!"
Allen Zhang narrowed his eyes; he hadn’t expected these guys to be so dishonorable.
A flame of anger rose in his heart, "Like living in the sewers, do these Irish rats? Dare to hit my people, tonight I’ll turn them into a nest of dead rats!!"
They have a tough backbone, liking to cause trouble everywhere and snatch others’ hard work. I want to see how stiff their spines are under the muzzle.
He took out his phone and sent a message to Sieg: Where are you now?
Sieg: Two blocks away.
Allen Zhang: Good.
It didn’t take long for Sieg to arrive on scene with his people. Seeing the shattered glass and trash cans, he was also somewhat surprised.
"They actually resorted to violence. Didn’t you tell them we’re from Lori Louis 19?" Sieg was puzzled. In his understanding, little Lori had considerable influence in the nearby streets, and Mr. Juan Jin was known for his ruthless actions. Other teams had no reason to take the risk of offending Lori Louis 19; it brought no benefit.
"I told them. They hit even harder."
Leo was puzzled, but luckily he was used to being bullied on a normal basis.
However, because of this, having enjoyed a few comfortable days only to be bullied again, he felt even more angry and uncomfortable.
"Little Lori seemed to have offended those Europeans back then. He had a dispute over turf while begging on the street and even snatched away the right to use a jar recycling machine from them. They planned to take revenge on little Lori, but all got beaten down by him on the spot. Now, they probably want to take this opportunity for retaliation," explained David.
"A street is a street, a person is a person. Little Lori offended him, but our scavenger team didn’t. Since they can’t differentiate, there’s no need for us to reason with them."
Allen Zhang originally wanted to watch from the sidelines, but since the other side came knocking, there was no need for him to hide anymore.
Take this chance to send troops down south, to crush these Europeans all at once and take over their territory!
The Irish like living in the sewers, huh? I’ll blow up your rat nests today!!
Heehee, not really heehee.
"Monica, you take Leo to the nearby convenience store and buy some band-aids to dress the wound. David, you and Gate take the garbage truck to look for Dominic in other streets, load up his barrels, go to the repair shop to fix the rear-view mirror, and if you encounter those Europeans again, don’t clash with them directly, give them the barrels if needed, but afterwards, I want tenfold compensation!!"
Allen Zhang made a series of strategic actions.
"What should we do then?" Sieg asked, patting the tactical chest rig on his chest, "I’ve brought guns, one for each person should be enough."
"Wait until dark. Once it gets dark, those rats will surely be heading home collectively. We’ll strike at their lair then, and not let a single one escape!" Allen Zhang’s eyes were piercing. Since these people don’t abide by morals, don’t blame him for exploiting bugs and overpowering them with firepower.
In this line of work, you need to have backing, you need to have an AK. You have nothing, only knowing how to loot and burn, no wonder you have to live in sewers and abandoned buildings.
"Ok, shall I go and give a heads up to Investigator Mig? After all, there’s going to be a lot of noise tonight, and if we don’t notify the patrolling officers in advance, they will definitely come to check it out once they receive reports from passersby, which wouldn’t be good for anyone," Sieg suggested thoughtfully.
"You make a good point, but I guess there aren’t many people who would pass by the abandoned sewers anyway," Allen Zhang pondered.
To prevent the opponent from flipping the table, Sieg also prepared a VIP room card package with care, just to see if they are willing to spend a few days there.
"I’ve contacted Investigator Mig and gave him a brief explanation of the troubles we encountered here. He suggested letting colleagues nearby come to help, but I declined."
Sieg put away his phone, "We can go and reason with them first, then afterward report those Europeans for illegal possession of firearms to the police!"
Policemen working the night shift have it tough too, we should at least deliver them some performances.
Investigator Mig has been confirmed for a promotion and pay raise, being promoted to senior police officer and head of the Economic Crime Bureau’s Fifth District Action Team at the Southern Branch, and also named as the Southern Branch’s Officer of the Year.
He was already an old-timer at the rank of third-grade police officer, and an internal promotion was only a matter of time. After taking office, he was mainly responsible for managing economic disputes such as Zero-Dollar Purchase and theft fraud cases in Fifth Street.
He’s also been nominated for California’s Top Ten Outstanding Police Officers at the end of the year, but might not be selected unless he adds some more achievements.
A third-grade officer can transfer to work as a plainclothes investigator, but it’s clear that Investigator Mig prefers serving the good citizens on the streets, his path for advancement is open too, and with good work and public relations, he can shoot straight up to Police Chief.
Great misfortune spells great fortune!
"Where did those Europeans get their guns from?" Allen Zhang asked in confusion.
"You forgot. We got an unnumbered Ghost Gun from Matt Spencer yesterday."
Sieg said seriously, "Those Europeans are so stubborn; they’ll never admit to it even if it kills them."
"..."
Well, of course, they don’t have guns, so how could they admit to that.
Allen Zhang couldn’t help but sigh, it’s still you. How come you handle things in such a dark way?
It’s only been a few days, and you’ve already gone bad!
This is the corrupted Sieg Comprey.
