Alpha Damien's Breeder: The first night -
Chapter 16: A plaything
Chapter 16: A plaything
Aurora was convinced that Damien was a sadist. She worked in the kitchen, not the cleaning department.
"Alpha, I can arrange for someone in charge to clean your room," she suggested, bowing her head slightly before meeting his gaze with a forced smile.
"I would have sought their help if I needed it. I want you to do it," Damien insisted.
"But I work in the kitchen. I know nothing about cleaning," Aurora protested against his order. Why was he so difficult to please?
"Thank you for the information. Just make sure it sparkles," he insisted.
"But it’s..."
Theresa interrupted, cutting off Aurora’s words. "Aurora, get going. Would you disobey your Alpha?" Theresa said, sparing her from further punishment, though she wondered why he was being so hard on her.
Was it because of the wine spill the other day? Her son was even more cruel than she was, if she could be considered cruel at all. Aurora turned to face Dave, hoping he would save her from this predicament, but he had already endured enough punishment and didn’t want any more.
"Yes, Alpha," Aurora reluctantly replied and left the dining room to clean his room.
"Regarding the marriage proposal, I will give you a reply on Tuesday morning after conducting proper research," Damien informed the Elders, gesturing for everyone to begin eating.
Satisfied with his response, the Elders revealed, "The pack members have prepared a small welcome party for you and requested your presence before the banquet celebration." Theresa smiled contentedly, pleased that things were returning to normal. The mansion would once again be filled with a series of parties, meetings, guests, and more.
If she was fortunate, she might make a friend from one of the visiting packs during the banquet and establish connections.
Her late husband used to engage in such activities extensively, but Damien had been preoccupied with rectifying the issues left behind when he became the Alpha. Now that everything was in order, it was time for a new era to begin. This was how a true pack should operate, and it would continue in this manner indefinitely.
"Alright, I will make a brief appearance for an hour," Damien agreed, delighting everyone at the dining table.
"Since you are always busy during the day, it has been scheduled for the evening so that you can relax without worry," one of the Elders added.
"I love nighttime parties," the new information brought joy to Dave. It had been a long time since he had attended a party, let alone a nighttime one. Nighttime parties were his sanctuary whenever he needed to escape from the hellish reality created by Damien and the others, primarily Damien.
"Okay," Damien agreed, even though his expression indicated otherwise. Enoch, aware that Damien would likely make a shorter appearance, could only smile.
"Gather the remaining Elders for a meeting at 4 PM," Damien commanded.
"Understood, Alpha," they all responded, continuing with their meal.
In Damien’s room
Aurora’s blood boiled as she cleaned a window that was already spotless. She had never encountered such a masochistic person before. He was arrogant, rude, and bossy.
Throwing the wet towel angrily at the window, she envisioned a different face as the target. If they weren’t in the mansion, she would deal with him. She hadn’t prepared for five years just to be treated like a slave at the hands of an arrogant Alpha.
"Curse you, Alpha," she muttered under her breath, afraid of being caught cursing at the Alpha. But since no one was in the room, she allowed herself to vent.
Opening the window, she dropped her hands to her sides and yelled, " You worthless piece of Alpha, you are such an idiot for always ordering people around. You are so arrogant that I wish to stick a rod in your chest and carve out your heart, you little twerp!" She laughed after yelling, satisfied about releasing her anger.
"I am right here. Would you like to address me directly?" Aurora’s heart skipped a beat as she heard his voice. Her legs suddenly felt numb, and her face turned pale in his presence.
How did he enter the room without making any noise?
"Well... uh... I was rehearsing a line I saw on TV," she quickly lied, hoping to cover up her outburst.
"I am suddenly intrigued. Care to share the name of the show?" He asked, sounding sincere, but she knew he was contemplating ways to eliminate her in his devilish mind.
"I don’t remember. It was just some random show," she said nervously, forcing a laugh.
"That must be a great show, considering they curse at their Alpha," he remarked, walking toward the window.
"Yes, it is," she replied, playing along with him.
"You should watch more of those shows," he suggested, placing his hands on the window glass, searching for any sign of dust. Aurora wanted to scoff at his pretentious act, the window didn’t even need cleaning. Why was he so intent on making her suffer?
"There’s a stain here. Wipe it off," he instructed.
"Yes, Alpha," she replied with frustration, moving toward the stain with her wet towel.
"Did I hear you complaining?" Damien enjoyed seeing her frustrated, he wanted more of it.
"Nooo!! I love cleaning!!!" She suddenly yelled, shocking Damien. He chuckled and nodded before leaving her side.
Picking up a book, he sat in a chair, resting his legs on the table as he began to read. Remembering something, he turned to face her and suggested, "You should use a sword instead. My chest is too hard for a weak rod."
"What?" Aurora wished the ground would swallow her whole. She should have kept her anger in check. Why did it have to happen when he walked in? And how did he enter the room without alerting her of his presence?
Damien was pleased to have found a plaything. It wasn’t so bad having someone to tease when he needed to calm down. Thinking back to the tea, he suddenly craved it, but admitting his desire for it would be akin to admitting he loved it, which he didn’t want to do.
Hold on, the meeting with the Elders would require some snacks. He despised the idea of them having the same tea as he did.
"Serve my tea differently for the meeting. I detest mistakes. And make sure the window is thoroughly cleaned before leaving my room."
